Chapter 351 Wendy's Drunken Confession

The snow was getting heavier. Several female colleagues were busy taking photos in the snow, while Wendy leaned against a tree, and called Caspian.

"Caspian, it's me!" Wendy said loudly on the phone with a smile. "Caspian, it's snowing outside!"

Tonight Caspian was staying at home and not going out. He could tell Wendy was drunk and looked out the window, smiling as he asked, "What's up? Have you had too much to drink?"

"No, just having a few beers, how could I be drunk?" Wendy seemed very excited, her eyes smiling as she said, "Caspian, it's snowing, and I want to tell you something!"

"Let's talk tomorrow. It's getting late; you should head home. It's too dangerous for a girl to be out alone at this hour," Caspian said.

But Wendy shook her head and said, "No! I want to say it now because the first snowfall is such a romantic day!"

Caspian was silent on the phone, listening to her happily talking on the other end.

"Caspian, I like you!" Wendy, momentarily controlled by alcohol, boldly shouted out.

"Ever since that car accident, when you were able to protect me in such a critical moment, I was deeply moved. And then, I fell for you! Caspian, I like you. Do you accept me?" Wendy said fervently, slowly crouching down against the tree.

Caspian had already sensed Wendy's unusual feelings towards him. Although he had thought about it, now that she confessed, he considered how to respond to minimize the hurt to her.

"Wendy," he hesitated, "you know I still like Evelyn."

"Wendy, wake up." Another voice came through the phone.

Caspian was stunned, then heard a female voice on the phone. "Mr. Wade, it's you. Wendy drank a bit too much tonight and is now asleep against a tree. Can you come and pick her up?"

Feeling helpless, Caspian let out a breath and asked, "Where are you?"

"We're at the restaurant entrance. I'll send you the address." Wendy's female colleague said.

"Wait there. I'm coming over," Caspian said.

That night, Wendy felt as though she were dreaming. In the dream, she was lying face down on a horse's back, incessantly jostled to the point of severe nausea and a throbbing headache. In short, it was a unrestful sleep.

In the morning, sunlight streamed in, casting a warm glow on her face. Wendy squinted as she woke up, then turned over and drifted back to sleep.

Wendy realized something was wrong and suddenly opened her eyes, only to find out that she was lying naked on the bed in a strange bedroom, screaming in terror.

'What happened? Could I have been raped?' Thinking of this, Wendy was so anxious that she started crying. She carefully checked her body. Apart from being naked, there was nothing unusual. She breathed a sigh of relief and went to find clothes, but after searching, she found that none of her clothes were there, not even her underwear!

'What on earth happened?' Wendy wondered as she was scared and started crying. After a while, she stopped crying and thought, 'Now I have to find clothes to wear and go out to see what 's going on.'

Then she got out of bed and started rummaging through the nearby cabinet. They were all school uniforms. She took one out and held it against her chest; it was too small and tight for her to wear.

At this moment, someone pushed the door open. She turned around in horror and saw Caspian standing there with a few clothes on his arm, staring at her with wide eyes as Wendy's naked body was completely exposed in front of him.

Seeing this, Wendy quickly dived back into the blanket, pulling it up to her chin. She asked in shame and anger, "Why didn't you knock before coming in?"

Caspian pursed his lips, a mischievous smile on his face, and placed the clothes on the bed, saying, "I didn't know you were awake."

"So, you think you can just come in without knocking?" Wendy flushed with embarrassment, burying her head under the covers.

"Sorry, it was my fault for not knocking. I thought you were still asleep," Caspian apologized and added, "Alright, don't hide under the blanket. You were pretty quick. I didn't even get a good look before you got under the blanket."

"Stop lying!" Wendy suddenly emerged from the blanket, her face flushed, and shouted at him, "I saw your eyes wide open just now!"

Caspian raised his hands in a gesture of surrender and softly said, "How about I forget it?"

"No way! How can you forget so quickly after seeing it?" Wendy cried out in shame and anger.

Caspian helplessly glanced at his watch, then held it up to her and said, "Look at the time."

Wendy grabbed his wrist and looked, then exclaimed, "It's already nine o'clock?" She hurriedly asked, "Where is this? Get out; I need to get dressed!"

Caspian said, "This is my house. It seems you forgot what happened last night. It's better that way. Hurry up and get ready, then come down for breakfast."

With no time to think what had happened last night, Wendy waved him off anxiously and started getting dressed in a hurry. After quickly washing up, she sent a message to her boss, saying there was a traffic jam and she would be late. Then she left the room and hurried downstairs.

"Ms. Lewis, the dining room is this way," A servant said with a smile, guiding her.

Wendy entered the dining room, where Caspian was already eating. He looked up at her and said, "Grab whatever you want to eat."

Wendy sat across from him, eating porridge, and asked, "How did I end up at your house?" She looked around and whispered, "And why wasn't I wearing any clothes?"

Caspian looked at her leisurely, chuckled, and asked, "Did you forget everything?"

"Of course, I did. I just remember being at the restaurant entrance, calling someone, and then I don't remember anything." Wendy said.

Caspian took a napkin, wiped his mouth, and said, "Forgetting is a good thing for you. Stop asking anything. Hurry up and eat, and I'll take you to work."

"Did I do something outrageous?" Wendy asked, hoping that wasn't the reason.

"You were just a bit out of control, insisting on dragging me to drink more. You were like a different person when you were drunk. It was a crazy night, and I don't want to recall it," Caspian sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"I dragged you to drink? But I was at the restaurant entrance. How did you show up?" Wendy felt things were getting complicated.

"Your colleague called me to pick you up," Caspian urged her, "If you keep asking, you might as well have lunch at the office."
