Chapter 115 Bar Fight

The three girls ate and chatted, laughing heartily, drawing the attention of the couples waiting for a table.

"How about we go to a bar after we finish eating? I've never been to one and really want to see what it's like inside," Wendy suggested excitedly.

Lillian said, "I haven't been to one either."

Angela calmly replied, "There's nothing special about bars. Once you go, you'll find it noisy."

Wendy said, "Let's just go for fun. Lillian wants to go, too!"

"Lillian has to go home after we eat, or Alexander will be upset if she gets back too late," Angela said.

Lillian, who rarely had the chance to hang out with her best friends, didn't want to go home so early. She had already asked for permission, so she decided to have a good time before heading back.

"I'm fine. I can go," Lillian said nonchalantly.

Wendy shouted happily, "Angela, do you hear that? Lillian wants to go, too. Which bar are you taking us to?"

Angela asked Lillian again, "Are you sure it's okay to go back late? He won't let you go to a bar."

"He's just my contract husband and can't control me that much." Lillian waved her hand dismissively. "Tonight, I want to see what Ms. Turner is up to."

Angela snickered. "You haven't even had a drink yet. Are you already acting drunk?"

After finishing their meal, the three of them left the restaurant and waited for Angela to get the car.

Wendy looked around and asked, "Is there a convenience store around here? I want some water."

Lillian saw one across the street and said, "There's one over there. Wait here, I'll get it for you."

She went into the store and grabbed three bottles of water. As she was about to pay at the counter, she noticed some chocolates on a small rack tied with a pink bow. She picked one up, found it quite cute, and added it to her purchase. "How much is it in total?" she asked.

Leaving the convenience store, Lillian put the chocolate in her coat pocket and jogged across the street. Angela's car was already waiting by the roadside. Lillian quickly got in.

"Angela, which bar are we going to? How about Moonshine Lounge? I hear they have pole dancing at night. And it's male dancers," Wendy said with a laugh.

Angela started the car and merged into traffic, saying, "Calm down. If you really see that, you might get so scared that your legs will become weak. I'll take you to a regular bar with a nice atmosphere and no weird people."

In a small alley, there was a bar called Sapphire Spirits Bar. Its neon sign flashed, giving it a retro feel.

As Angela found a place to park the car, the three of them got out.

"Angela, where do you find this little bar to fool us?" Wendy asked, a bit disdainfully.

Angela said, "A former patient of mine owns this bar. It's quite charming. Let's go."

Though it was in a small alley, the bar was quite spacious inside. There was no loud chatter or noisy music. On stage, a young man was playing the guitar and singing.

The three of them found a place to sit and ordered three cocktails and some snacks.

"Why is this bar so quiet?" Wendy asked naively. "I think bars have dance floors and people dancing like on TV."

"Bumpkin, stop asking," Angela said, stuffing a fry into Wendy's mouth. "This is the kind of bar you should be going to."

Lillian thought the boy on stage sang very well and happily said, "I like this kind of bar."

The waiter brought over a fruit platter, placed it on the table, and softly said, "Ms. Turner, this is from Ms. Diaz."

Angela politely replied, "Thank Ms. Diaz for me." Then she looked around and saw Maria Diaz not far away. They raised their glasses in a distant toast.

"Is Ms. Diaz the owner here?" Lillian asked.

"Yes, she's quite impressive," Angela said without elaborating.

After the boy on stage finished his song, a girl took his place. She was dressed seductively, sat on a high stool, and sang a foreign song in a low voice.

"You guys stay here. I'm going to the restroom," Angela said as she got up and left.

Lillian and Wendy relaxed, listening to the music and chatting.

After about ten minutes, Angela still hadn't returned. As Lillian said she would go check, the previous waiter came running over, saying, "Go quickly! Ms. Turner is fighting with someone at the restroom door!"

"What?" Lillian and Wendy stood up abruptly, asking in surprise.

At the restroom door, Angela was fighting with two women, pulling each other's hair and screaming.

"Stop fighting!" Lillian and Wendy shouted to stop them, but no one listened.

Outnumbered, Angela was at a disadvantage. Seeing her best friend getting hurt, Lillian's anger flared up. Without a second thought, she rushed in to join the fight. Wendy didn't hesitate to follow suit.

The five of them were in a chaotic brawl, attracting many onlookers. The three friends were quite strong, but the other two women were also good fighters. No one backed down in the fierce battle.

"Call the police quickly!" Maria hurried over and told the waiter.

Soon, police sirens were heard outside the bar. Two officers came in and had a hard time separating the fighters. Each person had visible injuries on their face and was panting heavily.

"Why are you fighting?" the police asked.

"Officer, she's a homewrecker, destroying other people's families," one of the women said.

Angela, disheveled and looking a mess but not losing her spirit, retorted, "Say that again if you dare! That bald man isn't even fit to tie my shoes!"

"Angela! Are you okay?" Tom rushed in, asking anxiously.

Lillian asked in surprise, "Tom, what are you doing here?"

"Lillian, are you alright?" Tom asked Lillian with concern.

The police said, "Alright, everyone. Let's go to the station to resolve this."

The group followed the police to the station.

At the station, the police took statements. Angela explained the situation in detail. In short, an older female patient had come to see her. The woman's husband, being a lecher, harassed Angela. Their daughter found out and mistakenly thought Angela was involved with her father. They ran into each other today, and a fight broke out.

While Lillian was waiting, Tom bought some antiseptic and handed it to her, saying, "Lillian, you and your friends should apply this to avoid infection."

Lillian took it, feeling a bit embarrassed, and said, "Thank you. I'm sorry for the joke. Please don't tell my mother-in-law about this."

"Of course, I won't say anything. Don't worry." Tom assured her, patting his chest. "But I did call my brother. He's on his way here now."
