Chapter 414 Who Do You Want to Meet in Your Dreams?

Caspian immediately pulled the car over and said to her, "Quick, get out and throw up."

He helped Wendy out of the car, and she squatted under a big tree by the roadside, vomiting freely.

"You know you can't drink, so why did you drink so much?" Caspian didn't mind at all, patting her back and handing her a bottle of water.

Wendy rinsed her mouth but still felt dizzy. She stood there with her head down, ignoring him. Caspian tried to pull her back to the car, but she wouldn't move, so he had to carry her back into the car once again.

The car was back on the road.

"Where are you taking me?" Wendy asked suddenly from the back seat.

Caspian looked at her through the rearview mirror and said, "Of course, I'm taking you home."

He couldn't help but blame her, "Drinking so much, your parents will scold you."

Wendy closed her eyes and chuckled, "Then what do you do when you're upset? I wanted to get drunk to feel a bit better."

Caspian was silent for a moment and said, "But you can't drink that much."

"I'm feeling really down," Wendy turned her head to the other side, eyes still closed, and sighed, "Driver, let me tell you my story. See if I'm really in pain."

"Okay, go ahead," Caspian said.

Drunk Wendy seemed eager to find someone to listen, treating Caspian as the driver, and began to pour out her emotional troubles.

"I used to like a guy, he was quite handsome, but he didn't like me. He had someone else in his heart."

"Later, I agreed to date my idol because I wanted a fresh start, to completely forget him."

"But my idol was a liar, deceiving my feelings. I invested real emotions."

Wendy intermittently told her story and couldn't help but burst into tears again.

Caspian turned to look at her, handed her some tissues, and comforted her, "Don't cry, you're so beautiful, someone will want you."

Wendy took the tissue, wiped her nose messily, closed her eyes again, and said softly, "I admit, I still can't let go of Caspian in my heart, but I don't want to show it in front of him and bother him. I don't know what to do now!"

Caspian listened silently, feeling a mix of emotions.

"Driver, I've finished my story. Tell me, am I in pain? Should I drink?" After a long while, Wendy asked.

Caspian responded, "Wendy, I understand your pain."

After he spoke, there was no response. Moments later, he turned to look at her and saw she had fallen asleep.

Since the beginning of summer, Wendy's neighborhood had started renovations, and cars were not allowed in.

Caspian parked the car by the street and turned to wake her, "Wendy, wake up, we're home."

"What time is it? I'm off today," Wendy turned over, talking drunkenly.

Caspian shook his head with a smile, got out of the car, and opened the door for her.

"Come on, Wendy, let me help you out."

Wendy slowly opened her eyes and saw Caspian up close. She patted his cheeks and asked, "Caspian? What are you doing here?"

"I'm taking you home," Caspian said gently, "Come on, get out of the car."

She smiled and said, "Then can you carry me?"

"Sure," Caspian said, seeing her smile, her drunken state was cute, and he couldn't help but smile too.

He knelt on one knee in front of the car door, turned his head, and said, "Hop on!"

Wendy giggled, slowly climbed onto his back, gently wrapped her arms around his neck, and whispered, "So, dreams really can come true!"

Caspian smiled silently, stood up with effort, locked the car, and carried her into the neighborhood.

It was already past nine, almost ten o'clock. There were still some people returning to the neighborhood. Caspian walked towards Wendy's building, receiving various looks along the way.

"Caspian, am I heavy?" Wendy asked shyly in his ear.

"Not heavy, just right."

"Who's heavier, me or Evelyn?"

"She is."

Wendy rested her head on his broad, firm back and said, "Caspian, can I sing for you?"

"Sure, what do you want to sing?" Caspian asked.

He walked steadily, slowly moving forward.

Wendy cleared her throat and sang, "If I should stay, I would only be in your way."

"I will always love you," Caspian and Wendy sang the last line together.

Wendy asked in surprise, "You know it too?"

Caspian smiled and said, "I only know the last line."

"Any more?" he asked.

"Do you like it?" Wendy said, "No, that's the only one I know."

After she finished, she suddenly looked up at the bright, clear full moon in the sky and slowly reached out to touch it.

"Unable to bear such love, I can only meet you in dreams," she recited.

Caspian turned his head slightly and asked gently, "Who do you want to meet in your dreams?"

Wendy blushed, retracted her hand, hugged his neck tightly, and said coyly, "Of course, it's you! See, aren't we meeting in a dream right now?"

Caspian smiled helplessly, adjusted her position, and continued walking slowly.

"Hey! Caspian!" Curtis suddenly appeared out of nowhere, walking beside Caspian.

Seeing Wendy dozing off on his back, he teased, "Wendy's had too much to drink?"

"Curtis, why are you coming home so late?" Caspian asked.

Curtis said, "Had some things to do, came back late."

He looked at Caspian curiously and said, "Caspian, I haven't seen you in a while. What's up? Did you and Wendy fight? Break up? Wendy is shy, don't always make her take the initiative. When you're dating, think more, be proactive, compliment the girl, they all like that."

Caspian smiled, "Curtis, you're right."

He was quite puzzled. 'Didn't Curtis know about my breakup with Wendy?'

At the elevator, Curtis said, "Get along well with Wendy, I'm looking forward to attending your wedding." Shortly after, the elevator reached the designated floor, and Curtis happily left the elevator.

Caspian stood in the elevator, bewildered, and collected his thoughts. Then he arrived at Wendy's door and rang the doorbell.
