Chapter 144 Everyone Knows Lillian is Pregnant

"This is impossible!" Lillian blurted out.

Alexander felt embarrassed and asked calmly, "Why? Don't you want to be a real couple with me?"

"You're only considering being a real couple with me because of the child," Lillian said fearfully.

Alexander looked at her coldly, knowing she didn't love him and was annoyed.

"Your pregnancy can't be hidden; the family probably knows by now. If you don't want to keep the child, neither Grandma nor Mom will agree," Alexander said. "Of course, if you abort the child, Mom and Grandma will be very sad. Think it over carefully."

She had considered these factors, but she couldn't give up her future life for the sake of the elders.

"You only think about your family, but what about me? I want to live my life too," Lillian said helplessly.

"Do you want to live your life without me?" Alexander asked.

"I don’t mean that," Lillian said softly. "It’s just that I had never expected to have a child all of a sudden. Additionally, we will eventually separate."

"Let's talk about it later," Alexander said. "Now, we need to talk about having this child and taking care of yourself during pregnancy."

"So, you mean I can't refuse?" Lillian asked.

"Yes!" Alexander said firmly.

"So my current situation is to have your child, extend the agreement indefinitely, and stay by your side without knowing when I can end this." Lillian sneered. "What's in it for me?"

"When we get back, I can give you the reward money first," he said.
"What if I fall in love with someone else? Will you agree to a divorce?" Lillian asked.

Alexander frowned and asked sternly, "Who do you like? Michael? Or Leo?"

"Neither, I'm just making a hypothetical," Lillian said, surprised by his attitude. "You seem very nervous?"

"Don't assume things that haven't happened," Alexander said unhappily.

Just as he finished speaking, his phone on the table rang. He picked it up, showed it to Lillian, and said, "Looks like Mom already knows."

Alexander answered the video call, looking at Samantha and Linda inside, and asked with a smile, "Why are you calling me on video?"

Linda couldn't wait to ask, "Alexander, I heard Lillian is pregnant. Let me talk with Lillian!"

Lillian felt very helpless. He was right. This child couldn't be aborted.

Alexander handed the phone to her. "Grandma wants to see you."

Lillian took the phone, looked at Linda inside, and said with a smile, "Grandma, I'm here."

"Lillian, you're amazing!" Linda asked happily, "Are you and Alexander outside?"

"Yes, we left the hospital to eat," Lillian said.

Samantha leaned in and asked, "What are you eating? You're pregnant and can't eat just anything."

Lillian looked at Samantha, afraid, and then at Alexander.

"Don't look at him. I can see the dishes on the table. You're eating Mexican food," Samantha couldn't help but scold. "You're pregnant. Don't eat spicy food. It's not good for your body."

Linda was a bit displeased and said, "It's okay if Lillian eats it just once. She can eat whatever she wants."
She then told Lillian, "Eat whatever you want, just eat less of what's not good for you and the baby."

"Thank you, Grandma." Lillian found Linda very endearing.

"Mom, you can't spoil her like this. There are many things to consider throughout pregnancy," Samantha reminded her.

"I will spoil her!" Linda said unhappily, "If my great-grandchild wants to eat spicy food, you shut up."

"Please don't argue. I'll be careful and eat less spicy food from now on," Lillian quickly said.

Alexander took the phone and said, "I'll take care of everything during Lily's pregnancy. Don't worry. Just come over and don't argue."

Linda said, "Alexander, you and Lillian, come back to Sinclair Villa later. I want to see her now."

Alexander smiled and said, "Maybe another day. Lily is tired today, and a video call is enough. I'll bring her back in a couple of days."

"Alright, let her rest well if she's tired," Linda agreed.

After ending the phone, Alexander said, "I was right, wasn’t I? It's impossible to abort the child."

Lillian remained silent. Her mind was in turmoil. Did she really have to stay by his side indefinitely?

After leaving the restaurant, Lillian fell asleep on the drive home. When they arrived home, she still hadn't woken up, and Alexander carried her directly to the room.

Kelly saw him coming out of the room and asked with a smile, "Is Lillian pregnant?"

Alexander nodded. "She is indeed pregnant, five weeks along. Kelly, you're right."

"It's all experience," Kelly said with a smile, waving her hand.
Alexander continued, "The hospital staff told Mom and Grandma, so now everyone knows. I suspect they'll come over first thing in the morning."

"How is Lillian doing?" Kelly asked with concern.

Alexander sighed and said, "She initially said she didn't want the child, but I persuaded her. Focus on her at home and notify me promptly of any unexpected events."

"She may not be mentally ready for a surprise pregnancy. When the baby grows and she feels the movements, she won't want to give it up. Don't worry. I'll look after her."

"Thank you, Kelly." Alexander then asked, "Has Luke not come back yet?"

"No, he hasn’t. Kevin just sent a message saying they might not return until the afternoon," Kelly replied.

"I see. I'll head upstairs," Alexander said.

Lillian had a good sleep. When she woke up, it was almost six o'clock.

She stretched her arms and looked around, realizing she was in her room. Covering her face, she thought, "Did Alexander carry me in here?"

At that moment, Kelly quietly opened the door. Seeing Lillian awake, she smiled and asked, "Dinner is ready. Do you want to eat now?"

Lillian pouted. "Kelly, you didn't tell me I was pregnant."

"I thought it was better to tell Alexander first. You tend to overthink, and I only tell you things when I'm sure," Kelly said with a smile, patting her head. "To apologize, I made your favorite dishes. Come on. Get up."

"I'm not mad, Kelly. You were right to consider it," Lillian said, hugging Kelly's waist and pouting.
