Chapter 347 The Person Entangling Angela

Angela and Theodore were both taken aback when they heard it. Then he sent a voice message, "You misunderstood; Dr. Turner and I are friends, not a couple." After sending the message, he jokingly said to Angela, "How did we end up in a scandal?"

Angela smiled nonchalantly and said, "A man and a woman hanging out alone is inevitable to be misunderstood. But I'm also puzzled, didn't they realize we're not a couple all the way here?"

"I'm puzzled too," Theodore laughed.

At this moment, the person in the group sent a message, repeatedly apologizing and mentioning the time and place for the dinner.

At this moment, the car drove back to the apartment's underground garage, and Angela and Theodore got out of the car and entered the elevator.

As the elevator chimed, it stopped on the 15th floor.

"Mr. Wellington, bye," Angela said as she exited the elevator first.

"Bye," Theodore said, pressing the elevator close button.

Angela walked tiredly towards her door when suddenly someone jumped out, scaring her into a scream.

"Angela, why are you back so late? Where did you go?" Calvin Mitchell said, coming up to hug her.

Seeing it was him, Angela was very angry but held back her temper, swiftly dodging him and asking in surprise, "What are you doing here?"

Calvin was someone she met at a dinner party; he worked in medical devices, was in his thirties, was reasonably good-looking, and had been divorced once. He claimed it was love at first sight with Angela.

"Angela, why didn't you tell me you moved? If it weren't for my wide connections, I wouldn't have known you moved here," Calvin said, moving closer as if to hug her again.

Calvin generally conducted himself well, but whenever he saw Angela, he became utterly captivated, as if she had a magnetic pull on him. His behavior, if put mildly, was clingy; more bluntly, it bordered on harassment.

Angela had some cooperation with him and didn't want to fall out with him. But her personality wouldn't tolerate his harassment, so she coldly and swiftly pressed her hand against his throat, preventing him from getting closer. "It's late; you should leave."

Calvin said with difficulty, "Angela, I know you learned Taekwondo, but don't use it on me. I haven't seen you for a long time. Don't you miss me?"

"Why should I miss you?" Angela said angrily, "Don't come here again, or I'll call the police."

Angela felt deeply troubled. Calvin's way of pestering her was different from Tom's. Tom, though persistent in his pursuit, was respectful. However, Calvin was fixated on sleeping with Angela. If she refused, he would hound her incessantly, always spewing sweet nothings that might charm a young girl but were utterly ineffective on Angela.

"No, involving the police would be too much," Calvin said, his head tilted back by her hand, grinning cheekily. "I just missed you and came to see you. Let's go inside and talk. If the neighbors see this, it won't be good for your reputation."

"Calvin, if you continue like this, you will regret it," Angela warned in a low voice.

Suddenly, there was the sound of an elevator door opening.

Calvin grinned and said, "Someone's coming. Let go of me quickly."

Before Angela's hand didn't let go, Theodore came around the corner from the elevator. He walked over quickly and asked, "Angela! What's going on?

Seeing it was Theodore, Angela let go of her hand and curiously asked, "Why did you come?"

Meanwhile, Calvin pulled Angela into his arms and said to Theodore, "Sir, this is my girlfriend. Who are you?"

Angela rolled her eyes and unceremoniously stomped on Calvin's foot with her high heel, causing him to clutch his foot and scream.

Theodore frowned and looked at Angela questioningly.

"Angela, you're too harsh!" Calvin's face turned red with pain. Seeing Theodore and her exchanging glances, he ignored the pain and said to him, "Alright, this has nothing to do with you. You should leave."

However, Angela grabbed Theodore's arm and said to Calvin, "The one who should leave is you!" With that, she said to Theodore, "Come in."

Angela pressed the code lock and went in first. Theodore stood at the door, glared at Calvin, then turned and followed her in, shutting him out.

"Is he your friend?" Theodore asked, standing at the door, puzzled.

Seeing he hadn't come in, Angela said, "Why don't you come in? Stay for a while before you go."

Theodore looked through the peephole again, seeing Calvin stare at the door for a few seconds before leaving angrily.

The layout of Angela's home was the same as his own home. Although it was decorated in cool tones, the meticulous details imparted a touch of warmth and coziness.

Angela made two cups of tea, brought them over, and sat beside him, saying, "Sorry you had to see that. He's not my friend, just a business partner."

"Is he pursuing you?" Theodore asked leisurely, taking a sip of tea.

"That's not pursuing, but harassment!" Angela said angrily.

Theodore put down the teacup and said seriously, "You can sue him for it."

"That's not necessary," Angela asked him, "Did you come down for something?"

"I got out of the elevator and vaguely heard your voice followed by a man's voice, so I was worried you were in trouble and came down to check on you," Theodore explained.

"Thank you," Angela said gratefully, "But I'm very strong and won't be bullied."

Theodore smiled. The room was filled with the perfume scent that fascinated him, and he couldn't help but think of the woman he had been searching for. Thinking this, his eyes involuntarily looked at Angela. A bold idea suddenly came to his mind. 'She always has this perfume scent. Could she be the one I had a one-night stand with?' Thinking of this, he became interested and thought he should investigate it thoroughly!

"Angela, if there's nothing else, I'll leave," Theodore stood up and said, "Good night."

Angela saw him at the door. "Good night"

The celebration banquet for Henry and William was a great success. As the hostess, Lillian was also very tired and went to bed early after seeing off the guests.

Lying in bed with Alexander, they had their usual bedtime chat.

Lillian played with his hand and asked with a smile, "Honey, when you attend the social event or go out with friends, what do you usually do for?"
