Chapter 291 Who Are You Really?

"I don't want to see anyone" Alexander had just finished a meeting and was still a bit angry. She came to stir things up again.

Kaitlyn called the front desk receptionist, Zoey Wolf, and instructed, "In the future, if there is no appointment, there's no need to ask."

Zoey hung up the phone, shrugged at Shae, and said, "Shae, you see, they won't let you up."

If it weren't for Shae's past good relationship with Zoey, she wouldn't have helped her pass on the message today.

Shae smiled nonchalantly, "It's okay, I can wait for  him upstairs." With that, she started walking towards the elevator.

Seeing her like this, Zoey, not wanting to get herself fired, quickly stopped her and said, "Shae, Mr. Sinclair said he won't see you. Please don't make things difficult for me."

"Don't worry, I won't make it difficult for you." Shae patted her shoulder and wasn't stopped.

Zoey didn't believe her words and then called the security guards to stop her.

"Shae, please leave now," the security guards said to her.

Shae stood in front of the elevator waiting for it to come down and said arrogantly, "If you don't want to get fired, don't stop me, or I'll make sure you all lose your jobs!"

The security guards looked at each other in confusion. What gave her the right to say such big words?

"This is our duty!" The security guards, doing their job, grabbed her arms and started dragging her out.

Shae felt extremely embarrassed and shouted angrily, "Let me go, I can walk out myself!"

The security guards released her and stood by, watching her.

Shae glared at them, adjusted her clothes, and cursed angrily, "You've ruined my image!"

She thought to herself, Alexander since you won't see me, I'll make you come to me.

She called Kaitlyn, knowing that calling Alexander directly might not work, but calling Kaitlyn would be quicker.

Kaitlyn answered quickly.

"Kaitlyn, please convey a message to Mr. Sinclair. Tell him, 'Do you remember the person under the peach blossom tree that year? Do you remember the wish you made? Has the latch on the cabin door on the island been fixed?'"

Shae didn't say another word and hung up, silently counting down in her mind.

Kaitlyn frowned slightly, wondering if she should convey the message. While she was thinking, Alexander called her into the office.

"Delegate these tasks to each department and make sure to expedite them," he said, then buried himself in work again.

Kaitlyn stood there without moving and unconsciously said to Alexander, "Mr. Sinclair, Shae just called and asked me to convey a message."

Alexander, looking at the documents, said coldly, "Kaitlyn, do your job. Why are you meddling in other people's business?"

Kaitlyn smiled awkwardly and said, "You're right, Mr. Sinclair. I just thought her message had some subtle meaning. Something about peach blossoms and a latch. Maybe I'm being too sensitive. I'll get back to work."

She turned to leave, but Alexander, startled, called her back, "Wait a minute, what did Shae say?"

Kaitlyn walked back, recalled, and said, "She said, 'Do you remember the person under the peach blossom tree that year? Do you remember the wish you made? Has the latch on the cabin door on the island been fixed?'"

Alexander's expression turned serious, his face grave. The blooming peach blossoms referred to a small island owned by his family, the place where he confessed his love to Amy. That place was later jokingly called "Peach Blossom Island" by Amy, and he had never taken anyone else there. It belonged solely to the two of them.

How did she know such details? Did Amy tell her before? It seemed unlikely. That place was their secret base, and Amy wouldn't want anyone to know about it.

"You can go now," he said to Kaitlyn.

Shae sat in her car, counting down from one hundred.

"What are you thinking about? Taking so long," Shae muttered to herself, "I'll give you another fifty seconds."

50, 49, 48...

Suddenly, her phone buzzed with a Facebook message from Alexander. It was a short message:[ Come up!]

Shae smiled victoriously and replied calmly, [Okay.]

Then she sent another Facebook message to Lillian: [Ms. Hill, want to hear a live broadcast? A live broadcast about your husband reuniting with his first love?]

In the villa, Lillian was having dinner with Leah in the dining room. Seeing the sudden Facebook message, her expression changed instantly and she tightly gripped the phone, unsure of what trouble was up to this time.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated with a voice call from Shae. Lillian, sensing trouble, hung up without hesitation.

She stared at the message in the chat box. Her husband and his first love? Wasn't his first love Amy? How could they reunite? What did she mean? A bad premonition rose in Lillian's heart.

Shae stepped into "The Whale Group" again. This time, no one stopped her. She walked confidently towards the elevator, leaving an arrogant figure behind.

"Kaitlyn, thank you." She stood in front of Kaitlyn's desk and thanked her.

Kaitlyn looked at her in confusion and then said, "Go ahead, Mr. Sinclair is waiting for you."

Shae entered the office and smiled sweetly at Alexander, who was standing with his arms crossed, looking serious, "Alexander."

Alexander didn't want to chat with her and asked directly, "What did you mean by what you said earlier?"

"Just the literal meaning," Shae said. "Just asking if you remember the past and the promises you made."

She laughed twice, looking shy, and said, "You haven't forgotten about the latch, have you?"

Alexander looked at her in disbelief and asked sternly, "Did Amy tell you all this? I don't believe she would tell you everything. Who exactly are you"

The incident happened the first time they made love. The latch broke, and the wind blew the door open, scaring them into thinking someone had come in.

They had just started and hadn't even gotten to the main part before they had to stop.

Shae smiled at him, blinked playfully, and asked, "Alexander, who do you think I am? Who else would know so much about your past?"

Her outfit today looked just like Amy's and her every move resembled Amy's. It was uncanny. Alexander couldn't help but feel puzzled, and the bold suspicion in his mind became clearer.

He exhaled slowly, feeling that what he was about to say was absurd, but he couldn't help wanting to test it. He said teasingly, "Don't tell me, you're Amy!"
