Chapter 63 We Want to Watch the Meteor Shower

Samantha and Tom stayed for dinner together. While eating, Lillian and Oscar quietly listened to their conversation.

"Your dad said we're going back to Aetherland for Christmas. This time, Beatrice and the others are going too," Samantha said in a serious tone.

The Sinclair family's ancestors came from a small island called Aetherland, where prominent members of the family lived. The tradition required them to return with their wives and children on Christmas Day to reunite with their scattered brothers and remind themselves not to forget the roots and the importance of helping each other.

Lillian thought to herself, 'Are they going to Aetherland? They're a truly wealthy and influential family, even gathering the entire clan together for Christmas Day. I thought returning to Sinclair Villa would be enough.'

Alexander said expressionlessly, "Rena is pregnant, so naturally, Dad will take care of them."

Lillian felt a little nervous upon hearing the word "pregnant." She instinctively looked up at Samantha, who was also looking up at her.

Samantha opened her mouth to speak but then swallowed her words. She felt that it was better not to spoil the atmosphere by talking about it with Alexander.

"Did you visit Mr. Wiggins this time? How is he?" Samantha changed the topic and started discussing things at the company.

Oscar and Luke finished eating quickly and left. Lillian's wrist was still a little sore, so she ate slower.

Tom was sitting next to her. He noticed that Lillian's movements were not very agile and asked, "Lillian, did you twist your wrist? How long has it been?"

"For over a week. It's almost healed, just a little painful."

Tom said, "I have a relative who is a doctor. He is very skilled. I can contact him and have him take a look at you. Even though it's just a sprain, we shouldn't neglect it."

"Thank you. My injury is almost healed," Lillian politely declined. She didn't want to owe anyone a favor.

"It's no trouble. Mr. Turner and my father are good friends," Tom said as he took out his phone and opened WhatsApp.

Lillian thought to herself, 'Mr. Turner? Could it be Angela's dad? It can't be!'
Although she thought the possibility was small, she glanced secretly and saw that Tom's contact name was "Dive Turner."

She thought, 'He really is Angela's dad. What a coincidence!'

Lillian lightly covered the phone screen with her hand and smiled, "Mr. Turner is my best friend's dad. We've known each other for over ten years."

"Really? What a small world," Tom put down his phone and asked with some surprise, "Is Angela your best friend?"

"Yes, we've known each other since high school," Lillian said curiously, "But she has never mentioned you before."

"I went abroad to study in my sophomore year of high school. We don't usually keep in touch. We only exchange greetings on social media during holidays," Tom explained.

"I see," Lillian said understandingly, smiling, "Angela was a super diligent student in school, and she works really hard now. When we meet up, she mostly talks about work."

Tom laughed, "I heard that she didn't work at her family's hospital but opened a private clinic for women. She's quite impressive."

Lillian admired Angela, "Yes, she didn't want to rely on her father. She wanted to prove herself, so she started her own business."

Tom picked up his phone again and said to her, "Lillian. Add me on WhatsApp so that we can stay in touch."

"Sure," Lillian agreed readily and took out her phone, entering Tom's phone number in the search box.

"Ding," the sound indicated a successful friend request.

Alexander heard the sound and looked up, only to find both of them looking down at their phones.

"Lillian," Alexander called her sternly, "Have you finished eating? If you have, go back first."

Lillian looked up at Alexander, blinking in confusion. Seeing that he seemed angry, she felt she hadn't done anything to upset him.

"Alexander, why are you suddenly so serious? I was adding Lillian on WhatsApp, and she hasn't finished eating yet," Tom explained, picking up a fork and skewering a rib for Lillian.

"Thank you," Lillian mumbled, hunching her neck and not daring to look at Alexander's serious face.

"Don't play with your phone while eating. It's not good for your stomach. You're already grown up, and you should take care of yourself," Samantha said to Tom, concerned, and asked him to eat a bit more.

Lillian didn't want to stay any longer, so she quickly finished her meal and left.

Tom watched her leave in a panic and asked puzzly, "Alexander, why are you so harsh on Lillian? Look how scared she is of you."

Alexander twitched the corner of his mouth but said nothing.

After dinner, they chatted for a while. Samantha was ready to leave, so Gina called Lillian and Oscar to see them off.

Luke held Oscar's hand and anxiously said, "Goodbye, Mrs. Sinclair."

Oscar politely said, "Goodbye, Mrs. Sinclair," and then was pulled away by Luke.

Lillian hurriedly explained on the side, "Luke is playing an important game."

Samantha looked helplessly at her and patted her belly, saying, "Hurry up!" Samantha hoped Lillian could have a child with Alexander as soon as possible.

"Samantha, I know," she lowered her head, timidly saying.

Alexander and Tom chatted for a while longer. Alexander said, "I changed my WhatsApp account. Give me your phone number so that I can add you as a friend."

"Okay," Tom spoke out his phone number.

After Samantha finished her advice, she got into the car.

Tom opened the car door and shook his phone at Alexander and Lillian. "Call me on WhatsApp," he said.

Alexander smirked, turned around, and entered first. Lillian slowly climbed the steps. She trembled because of the coldness, looking pitiful.

At night, after Lillian finished grooming, she took her medicine, changed her bandages, and lay down on the bed. She leaned against the pillow and told Angela about Tom in the chat group. After a while, Wendy also joined in. And Angela finally said briefly, "It's true what he said, we have no contact."

"Lillian, where are you spending Christmas? Are you going to Sinclair Villa?" Wendy asked.

"Samantha came here today, and she said we seem to be going back to Aetherland for Christmas," Lillian replied.

Wendy sent a voice message, "Wow, that's great!"

Angela said, "Be careful when you go abroad."

Lillian replied, "I'm scared just thinking about facing so many people in their family."

"Don't be afraid. Hold your head up high, and no one will dare to underestimate you!" Angela encouraged Lillian.

"Yes! I'm not afraid!" Lillian said.

After chatting with them, she received a message from Oscar. Luke used Oscar's phone to send her a message, "Lillian, you sleep by yourself tonight. The three of us will sleep together."

Lillian chuckled and listened again. She didn't expect the three of them to sleep together tonight.

"Did Uncle Alexander agree? Let Oscar sleep in his room."

Luke immediately responded, "No, Uncle Alexander said there will be a meteor shower tonight. We're going to watch it together!"
