Chapter 336 Lillian Pleaded for Leah

After spending time with Henry and William and sharing affectionate moments with them, neither Ethan nor Beatrice wished to see Alexander's sullen face, so after having a cup of tea, they left.

Alexander went back to his room first, while Lillian followed Patricia to the children's room, played with them, bathed them, fed them, and put them to sleep. Then she quietly left the room.

"Lillian." Leah appeared out of nowhere, standing in front of her with her hands behind her back, smiling as if she had been waiting for her.

Lillian asked in confusion, "Why aren't you asleep yet? What's up?"

"I need a favor from you." Leah affectionately linked arms with her.

Lillian looked at her in surprise and already guessed. "You want to be Alexander's secretary at the company? You want me to put in a good word for you?" She asked as she walked down the stairs.

"Yes. Can you help me? He listens to you. I won't let you help for nothing," Leah said.

"He doesn't listen to me," Lillian shook her head and refused. "I can't help you with this. You know he won't agree to you being with Kevin."

"Even if he disagrees, I must still strive for it," Leah asserted confidently. "I like Kevin. Does his disapproval mean I should stop liking him?"

"You're right!" Lillian suddenly realized that Leah was quite courageous in matters of the heart.

"So, you agree?" Leah asked in surprise. "Don't worry, if you put in a good word for me, I'll thank you properly."

"It's because of your bravery that I want to help you. Regardless of the outcome, please don't hold it against me." Lillian said.

"I won't and I believe you'll succeed," Leah said, flattering her by gently pinching her shoulder. "Go ahead, I'll wait for your good news."

Lillian smiled silently and returned to her room when Alexander had just come out of the shower. Seeing her return, he asked, "Are Henry and William asleep?"

"They fell asleep pretty quickly tonight." Lillian took a towel and started drying his hair. She looked at him in the mirror and asked considerately, "Honey, are you mad at your father?"

"Yes," Alexander admitted. "In the past, no matter how much they argued, I stayed out of it. But this time, seeing my mother so upset that she ended up in the hospital, I felt really bad. She's been fighting with Beatrice all her life and still ended up losing."

"Mom still loves dad, right?" Lillian asked.

"After all these years, how much emotion could remain? Besides, their relationship was based on mutual interests from the beginning. How could there be any true love?" Alexander sighed. "My dad doesn't care about my mom's dignity at all. At his age, he got someone pregnant? I wanted to laugh when I heard Leah say that."

"My mother is postponing the divorce out of sheer resentment." Lillian suddenly stopped her actions, leaned in close to him, and asked seriously, "Honey, will you also grow tired of me one day, find a mistress outside, and then have her flaunt her pregnancy to humiliate me?"

"Lillian, if I remember correctly, you've asked this question before," Alexander said, taking the towel off his head and tossing it aside, smiling softly at her.

Lillian felt a pang of anxiety, thinking he must be angry.

"Really? I don't remember," Lillian said with a playful smile, lightly punching his shoulder. "Honey, don't take it seriously. I just asked casually. I know your character well. How could you do such a douchebag thing? " She finished with a cheerful smile, but seeing Alexander's face darken instantly, she thought she had said the wrong thing again.

"Ms. Hill, living with me and still thinking about cheating? Your mind is quite active," Alexander swiftly turned and pinned her beneath him, his sinister smile sending a shiver down her spine.

"Honey, no, I'm not, you misunderstood," she said, her arms wrapping around his neck like vines, pouting, "I'm deeply in love with you. How could you wrong me?"

"Ms. Hill, do you remember my warning last time? What did I say I'd do if you said it again?" Alexander asked, pinching her waist, making her cry out in a mix of pain and ticklishness.

"Honey, I don't think you said anything specific; it was just a verbal warning, right?" Lillian tried to bluff her way out.

Alexander smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Your memory is pooed, but that's okay. I'll remind you, and you'll remember soon enough."

Before Lillian could escape from under him, he held her tightly and pressed his lips to hers.

After making love, Lillian lay on his arm, panting slightly, and said, "From now on, I won't dare to speak carelessly."

Alexander chuckled, pinching her chin, pretending to be fierce. "I have plenty of ways to teach you a lesson!" After saying that, he pulled her into his arms again. "Honey, with you by my side, my bad mood quickly disappears."

"Really? Am I really that good?" Lillian asked with a look of arrogance.

"Yes, you're the best," Alexander affirmed.

"If I'm so good, will you listen to everything I say?" she asked again.

Alexander, his face buried in her neck, laughed twice. He found the Lillian who was trying to trick him at this moment extremely cute, with silly cleverness.

"Are you trying to play tricks on me? Your strategy is too shallow!" Alexander said knowingly, "I disagree."

"I haven't even said anything yet, and you already disagree?" Lillian felt frustrated.

Alexander lay back and said seriously, "Leah wants you to be her spokesperson, doesn't she? Do you think she'll make a good secretary for me? No work experience, purely focused on pursuing Kevin—do you think I would give her this chance?"

"Honey," Lillian said, throwing herself into his arms, hugging his neck, and looking up slightly, pouting. "Leah and I finally have a good relationship; it's so rare. She asked me for help, and if I don't get it done, she'll look down on me again."

"She wouldn't dare," Alexander said with a cold laugh. "Unless she doesn't want my support anymore!"

"How long can a relationship bought with money truly last? I don't care—this is the first time Leah has asked me for help. You must agree!" Lillian threw a tantrum, kicking and hitting Alexander's arms, acting like a child who couldn't get their favorite toy.
