Chapter 154 A Home Theater

The waiter brought out the dishes, filling up the table. This themed restaurant mainly served food that girls loved—small, cute, and delicious.

The three girls chatted while eating, and Alexander quietly watched Lillian. Suddenly, his phone rang. He glanced at it, picked it up, and said, "Sorry," before stepping outside.

"I can finally relax," Wendy said, leaning back. "Lillian, with your husband here, I don't dare to eat freely, afraid of scaring him"

Lillian laughed. "Just eat if you want to. You know what? You can just pretend he doesn't exist."

Angela glanced at Alexander and quickly said, "What's going on with you two? I was too embarrassed to ask with him here. Now that he's gone, spill the tea."

Lillian, understanding her friends' curiosity, started to share. "I don't even know how I got pregnant after being with him in Aetherland! But he's been treating me like a queen since then. It's like a dream. Why do you think he's changed so much?"

Angela lightly scratched her chin in disbelief and said, . "You two are something else. Even with birth control, you got pregnant! Just enjoy his kindness. Maybe this is how a real relationship should be. Your previous relationship was not normal."

Wendy chimed in, "I think he's being nice because you're pregnant."

"He said pregnancy is stressful and taking care of a baby is even harder, so he should be nice to me," Lillian explained.

Angela nodded. "Alexander seems responsible. If you like him, just go with it."

"I think it's more than just a phase; it's a sweet period," Wendy said with a smile. "That kiss earlier was so sweet."

Lillian blushed. "Can you two not tease me? I'm asking for your help to figure this out."

"What's there to figure out?" Angela asked with a smile. "It's pretty obvious."

"I don't know," Lillian whispered. "It all happened so fast. I'm scared he'll leave me or be mean once the baby is here. I know it's bad to think this way, but I don't have the confidence to fully trust him."

"It's normal to feel insecure," Angela comforted her. "But don't be pessimistic. If Alexander's treating you well, he probably wants a future with you. Overthinking is bad for the baby. Take care of yourself. The more you interact, the more he might fall for you. Men value family, so don't feel inferior. Eat well, drink well, and focus on your baby. Having a healthy child is your priority."

"Angela's right," Wendy agreed. "I don't get guys, but I noticed that he looked at you with affection. He likes you." She smiled and asked, "Has he confessed to you?"

Lillian shook her head. "No, he hasn't."

Angela shrugged. "Don't stress about it. Maybe he's just scared of freaking you out. As long as you both like each other, that's what matters."

"I don't even know when I started liking him. But does he like me? He never really answered my question," Lillian said.

"Don't doubt it," Angela scoffed. "It's normal to feel overwhelmed with a baby and love hitting you all at once."

Lillian glanced out the window, wondering who he was talking to for so long. She whispered, "I'll listen to you and not overthink it. Feelings aren't something I can control. I'll just let things take their course. Ever since I found out I was pregnant, it feels like he's in control of everything. Whatever he says goes, and I don't even know what to do."

"What about your agreement? Wasn't it for a year? What's his plan now?" Wendy asked.

Lillian smiled. "He said it's extended indefinitely."

Angela grinned. "He's definitely planning for the future."

Wendy glanced outside and quickly said, "He's done with his call and coming back. If there's anything else to say, let's say it quickly. Once he's back, we won't be able to talk like now."

Lillian and Angela laughed at Wendy's urgency. "I'm done. Your turn. How's the new job?"

Alexander walked back in, catching the eyes of many girls. Some even took out their phones to snap pictures.

Sitting down, Alexander noticed Lillian hadn't eaten much. "Why haven't you eaten? Feeling unwell?"

"No, just busy chatting," Lillian replied. "Who was on the phone? It took you so long."

"Kaitlyn, reporting on work," Alexander said. "Don't just chat. You need to eat too." He handed her a piece of dessert.

Wendy said, "The studio boss is nice. She's about our age and super friendly. They might make my internship permanent after three months. The work environment is comfy, and the boss even brings us food. My coworkers are great and willing to teach me."

"That's awesome, as long as you like it," Lillian said. "Do your parents know yet?"

"No, I haven't told them. I'll deal with it when they find out," Wendy replied.

Seeing Wendy had made up her mind, Angela didn't push further, though she felt a bit helpless.

They continued eating and chatting, and time flew by. They finished their meal happily.

Wendy turned to Angela. "Let's watch a movie."

"Me too," Lillian said softly, glancing at Alexander.

Alexander smiled warmly. "No need to go out. Let's head home. We have a theater at home."
