Chapter 296 Lillian Scolds Amy
Kelly hurried to the hospital after making soup at home. As soon as she entered the ward, she saw the couple hugging each other and with a smile, ready to leave.
"Kelly," Lillian saw her and quickly pushed Alexander away, playfully saying, "Where are you going!"
Kelly walked back, teasingly saying, "I didn't want to interrupt you and Mr. Sinclair."
Lillian reached out to her affectionately, saying, "Come sit with me. I haven't seen you in days, and I missed you."
Alexander stood up and made room, "Kelly, have a seat."
As he finished speaking, his phone rang again, and he went out to take the call.
Amy said, "Alexander, it's me. Where are you?"
Amy woke up and didn't see him. After waiting for a long time without him returning, she called.
Alexander saw that it was already past six and couldn't help but ask, "Are you still at the office?"
"Yes, Kaitlyn has told me to leave several times, but I didn't see you, so I didn't want to go." Amy asked dejectedly, "Alexander, do you not want to see me?"
Alexander said, "Amy, I've made myself very clear. I hope you understand. You fainted earlier, so I let you rest in the lounge. I'll have Kevin take you home later."
"Are you not coming back?" Amy asked, "I still have so many words to say to you."
"There's no need to say anything more. The past is the past, no need to bring it up again." Alexander said with a sigh, "Amy, time changed everything. I'm not the same person I used to be, and neither are you. Forget me and start a new life, I'm not worth your longing."
Amy didn't react to the previous anger and hysteria. She was silent on the phone for a long time before finally saying softly, "Alexander, you are worth it!"
"Stay in the office. Kevin will be there soon." Alexander paused, then said in an unhappy tone, "Amy, I know what you did to Lily. You went too far! Lillian had a premature birth because of this, it's indirect murder! If you dare to do this again in the future, don't blame me for not considering our past."."
Amy held the disconnected phone, curled up on the corner of the sofa, staring blankly at a spot, motionless. Alexander's words today had dealt her a fatal blow, and she still hadn't recovered. She couldn't believe that Alexander no longer loved her.
Amy said, "How is that possible? Is it because of Lillian that he fell for someone else?"
"Did he forget all our beautiful memories? How can he do this?"
"Samantha! Without you, I wouldn't be in this situation! Everything is your fault!"
She muttered to herself, her face twisted with a terrifying expression when she mentioned Samantha. She secretly vowed that all the pain she had suffered, the changed fate, the betrayal by her lover, the pain of losing her love—she would repay it all tenfold to those who hurt her!
"You all betrayed and bullied me! I won't be defeated!" Amy buried her head in her legs, shouting in pain and despair.
Lillian drank the nourishing soup Kelly made and shared her thoughts during childbirth.
Lillian said, "I was so scared, I couldn't even speak."
Kelly sighed, "Having a baby is a gamble. If it goes smoothly, you're very lucky."
"You had a smooth delivery, so I was relieved," Kelly said with satisfaction.
"Me too. I was always worried something might go wrong while carrying them. Now that it's over, I feel much lighter." She touched her now-flat stomach, speaking more relaxedly.
Just as she finished speaking, her phone on the cabinet beeped twice with a Facebook notification. Kelly, who was closer, picked it up and handed it to her.
She glanced at it and frowned slightly, "It's from Shae."
Lillian teased Kelly, "Kelly, she's not Shae anymore. She's back to being Amy."
"What? Amy? Didn't she die? What's her connection to Shae?" Kelly asked in surprise.
Lillian didn't hide anything from her and explained the whole story.
"Doesn't it sound absurd? Shae was Amy. When I first heard it, I thought she must have gone crazy, wanting to replace Amy and saying such a thing."
"Is it true?" Kelly asked curiously.
Lillian said, "Alexander verified it. It's Amy. She was deliberately made to look like Shae by Samantha back then, and her fate changed from then on."
"Oh! so that's how it is." Kelly found it unbelievable after learning the truth.
"No wonder I always felt Shae looked so much like Amy. Turns out she was Amy."
"This news is so unbelievable. I bet no one would easily believe it."
The two of them fell silent. A few minutes later, Kelly broke the silence, asking, "Is there a set time for visiting the babies? I'd like to see them."
"Ask the nurse." Talking about the babies, Lillian got excited again, She showed her videos of the two babies on her phone and asked, "Aren't they adorable? Samantha and Aunt Lisa both say the babies look like Alexander."
Kelly smiled and nodded, "They do look like Mr. Sinclair when he was little."
"Lillian, if you're tired, you should rest for a while. Mr. Sinclair had the chef prepare dinner for you, and it will be delivered soon. I'll go check on the babies now."
After Kelly left, Lillian opened Facebook to see what Amy had sent her.
[I heard you gave birth today. Congratulations! Shouldn't you be thanking me? Without me, you and your babies wouldn't have the same birthday. This day is truly significant. Every year from now on, you'll think about how Alexander met his ex-girlfriend on this day. Isn't that interesting?]
Lillian read it and sneered. How shameless, trying to provoke her with such a message.
[I think you're the interesting one, always clinging to someone else's husband.] Lillian sent her a voice message, saying fiercely, [Amy, I'm warning you, stay away from my husband! If you want to date, find someone else. Don't fixate on someone else's husband. Is it your lifelong dream to be a mistress? Even if that's the case, find someone else. Don't ruin our marriage, or I won't be polite to you next time!"]
[Don't bother replying. I don't want to hear from you. Think twice before you act, or you'll end up in a sorry state with no one to sympathize with you!]
Lillian exhaled, feeling like she had released all the pent-up frustration in her chest. She then deleted and blocked Amy, refusing to allow such a person to exist on her Facebook.
For dinner, the chef delivered a nutritious meal. With her mind at ease, Lillian had a good appetite and enjoyed the well-balanced dishes.
Meanwhile, Alexander, taking advantage of Kelly being at the hospital with Lillian, had some free time and went back to Sinclair Villa to clear up the events of the past.
