Chapter 62 Samantha's Visit

Lillian originally thought Alexander would be unhappy with Oscar moving in. However, as the days went by and she saw Alexander getting along harmoniously with Oscar, she was surprised by Alexander's good attitude and, more importantly, delighted.

Luke's arm injury had almost healed. After finishing the week-long medication, he didn't go for more medicine. Lillian was feeling better, and the previously injured area didn't hurt as much anymore. Applying medicine to the bruised area helped a lot.

During Lillian's absence, Angela called her twice to check on her and sent messages to chat with her as usual. Angela and Wendy knew about Lillian's injury, but out of consideration for Alexander, they didn't rush to visit her. They continued chatting and joking with Lillian in the chat group.

Alexander's attitude towards her had improved in the past few days. Lillian felt it might be because he felt guilty, or maybe it was because Oscar was around. Either way, Alexander was not as harsh towards her anymore.

As Christmas Day was approaching, Gina started buying holiday supplies. Kelly and Melvin were going to be discharged from the hospital next week. Melvin had recovered well and was able to sit up and walk. Everything seemed to be moving in a positive direction, and Lillian hoped it would continue that way.

It was a weekend, and Alexander, Luke, and Oscar were in the media room watching Transformers. For adults, this was also a good way to relax.

"Alexander, what other movies do you like to watch?" Oscar asked.

"No specific genre," Alexander replied casually.

"Then whose books do you like to read?" Oscar continued.

"Haruki Murakami." Alexander said.

"Alexander, do you like listening to music?"

"I enjoy watching theater plays," Alexander replied.

Oscar's admiration for Alexander grew deeper and deeper. It had inexplicably existed since the moment he saw him, and he couldn't even explain why. He silently remembered Alexander's hobbies in his heart.

"What's the use of remembering my hobbies? It's more important to see if these hobbies suit you." Alexander suddenly said, "You have to be yourself."

Realizing he had been seen through, Oscar awkwardly said, "I just wanted to know your hobbies because I don't have many hobbies myself, and I don't know what books to read to become better."

"Your drive to improve is good. Hobbies are discovered gradually, and reading should be based on what suits you. Rome was not built in a day." Alexander looked at him meaningfully and said.

"Both of you, stop talking. You're disturbing me," Luke protested beside them.

Alexander lightly patted his head and said, "The movie volume is so loud that it completely drowns out our voices. Stop complaining."
At that moment, Gina walked in and said to Alexander, "Mr. Sinclair, Mrs. Sinclair, and Mr. Adams are here."

Alexander nodded lightly and said to Luke, "Stop looking, Mrs. Sinclair is here."

The three of them left the media room and went to the living room. Samantha and Tom were sitting on the sofa, speaking softly.
"Mom. Tom." Alexander walked ahead and greeted them.

"Alexander." Tom stood up and shook hands with him, then bumped shoulders.

"When did you come back?" Alexander asked.

"Yesterday. I came to see you today." Tom said with a smile.

Luke had already jumped into Samantha's arms, hugging her neck happily, and said, "Mrs. Sinclair, let me introduce you to my good brother."

As he spoke, he emerged from Samantha's embrace and pulled Oscar, who was standing aside, saying, "It's him!"

Samantha calmly looked him up and down, then looked at Alexander and asked, "Who is this?"

"Mrs. Sinclair, I am Oscar."

"He is Lillian's younger brother. He's on vacation, so he's staying here." Alexander finished and said to Oscar and Luke, "You two go play."

After they left, Samantha said discontentedly, "Why didn't your wife come out to see me after I've been here for so long? She's so arrogant. I heard she got injured and can't get out of bed."

"She's not at home now. She's been lying in bed for a week. So her best friend took her out today." Alexander explained, then asked unhappily, "Who told you this? I think Dr. Holland doesn't want to continue working anymore."

"Caspian came to visit me that day, and he told me. You always think that Dr. Holland tells me everything secretly." Samantha said.

Tom joked, "Alexander, you didn't even announce your marriage news. You just went straight to get a marriage license."

"You better hurry up, too. Will you go back this time?" Alexander asked.

"I'm not going back. I'll intern at the company for now. There's still a lot for me to learn." Tom responded.

Samantha took a sip of coffee and sighed, "She got injured, and now you two are pushing back the plan to have children."

"Mom, Lillian and I have our plans about kids. Stop meddling." Alexander said helplessly.

"I'll urge you. Do you want others to take away my shares in this company?" Samantha said angrily.

Samantha had been competing with Beatrice for so long, using many tactics to maintain her position. Now, with the involvement of stakes and the issue of descendants, she couldn't afford to lose. No matter what, she couldn't lose to Beatrice.

Alexander said to Tom, "You see. Your aunt has gone crazy for that fifty percent stake!"

"Both of you hurry up and have a baby so that I can proceed with my next step, and then I won't bother you anymore." Samantha reminded.

A car entered the yard. Kevin returned with Lillian. It was the weekend, and both Angela and Wendy were free, so they made plans with Lillian. Since Kevin was at home, he drove her there. She enjoyed herself for over three hours.

"Ouch!" Lillian exclaimed as she climbed two steps.

"Ms. Hill, take it slow," Kevin helped her sit on the leather stool in the foyer.

After changing her shoes, she said to him, "Thank you today, Mr. Martin."

Limping, Lillian walked into the living room and saw Samantha looking at her with a serious face, accompanied by a handsome guy she didn't know.

"Samantha, when did you arrive?" she asked with a smile, although she felt a bit uneasy inside.

Samantha looked at her unhappily and scolded, "You should have rested at home since you were injured. Why did you go out?"

Tom looked at her and said, "Hello, I'm Tom, Alexander's cousin."

"Hello, I'm Lillian."

"Go back to your room," Alexander impatiently frowned and told her.

Lillian nodded and hastened back to her room.

"Lillian is quite nice," Tom praised.

Samantha dissatisfiedly said, "She is just an ordinary child from an ordinary family. How good can she be?"
