Chapter 385 Lillian Who Dares Not Ride a Horse
This time coming to Aetherland, Alexander was ready to make her happy. Lillian deeply felt that last year wasn't this busy.
"Last year, accompanying you in acting exhausted me," Lillian said, dressed in riding gear, standing in front of the stable.
Alexander replied, "I was going to say, your acting was quite good."
Lillian looked at him with a smile, "It's your acting that's excellent, worthy of an Oscar, right?"
She stopped in front of a white horse, "Honey, how about this horse?"
"It's Benjamin's offspring," Alexander said with a smile, "Her name is Lina."
Lillian carefully reached out to touch Lina's mane and greeted her, "Hello, Lina!"
Lina snorted and gently nuzzled her hand.
Lillian exclaimed in surprise, "Honey, did you see that? She's close to me!"
Alexander also patted Lina's head, "She has a gentle temperament, perfect for you to ride."
"I have a good eye for this, don't you think?" Lillian said to the attendant beside her, "Help me lead her out."
Alexander helped Lillian mount the horse, leading the reins slowly in front.
"Honey, where's your Benjamin?" she asked from the horse.
Alexander said, "In another stable, let's go over there."
When Alexander mounted Benjamin, Lillian, alone on the horse, said nervously, "Honey, I'm a bit scared."
"Don't be afraid, keep your back straight and relax," Alexander said, riding alongside her, "Lina is very gentle, she won't throw you off."
Lillian tightly gripped the reins and curiously asked, "Honey, you haven't been to Aetherland this year, how do you know about Lina?"
"They usually video chat with me and report everything about the horses."
"Oh, I thought you only cared about the horses when you came to Aetherland each year."
Suddenly, cheers came from the polo field. Lillian craned her neck to look, "Honey, it seems your brothers are playing polo. Should we go over?"
"I'm here to ride with you today, not to play polo," Alexander said, "Come on, I'll take you to the track." He lightly tapped Lina's rump with a whip.
Lina trotted forward at a slow pace. Even so, Lillian screamed in fear, "Help me!"
Seeing her genuinely scared, Alexander rode up and called Lina to stop.
"I'm scared!" Lillian said tearfully, "So this is what riding feels like? I remember watching you ride last year and being so envious. I don't want to ride anymore, please help me down."
Alexander dismounted and asked, "Really don't want to try again? Once you get over the fear, it gets better."
"No, let me down," Lillian cried out, tears streaming.
Alexander chuckled and helped her down, "Why are you so timid? You don't look it."
"You're making fun of me!" She stood up from his arms, "Anyway, I'm not riding anymore!"
"Alright, no more riding," Alexander said, handing her Lina's reins, "But will you still lead the horse?"
Lillian pouted, took the reins, and patted Lina, "Don't be mad at me, I wanted to ride, but I was too scared."
The two led the horses back the way they came.
"Honey, let's go to the polo field," Lillian said, hearing the cheers again, smiling at him, "I remember last year, you were so impressive on the polo field, it made my heart race."
"I could tell, you had that girlish fantasy look. It's pretty funny when I think about it now."
Lillian said, "Honey, I know you love playing polo, can you play a match for me?"
Hearing the lively sounds from the polo field, Alexander felt excited inside, "Really? You want to see me play?"
"Yes!" Lillian nodded vigorously, pulling a ribbon from her ponytail and tying it around his arm playfully, "For good luck!"
"Honey, the first goal of the year will be for you!"
They arrived at the polo field, and Alexander quickly joined a team.
The sound of hooves thundered, dust flew, and Alexander, like an arrow, led the charge, making a beautiful shot towards the goal.
The ball went in!
Lillian stood up, cupping her hands around her mouth, shouting, "Honey, you're amazing!"
On the polo field, he was so unrestrained, that she once again moved for him.
After a satisfying polo match, Alexander was in high spirits, singing on the way back to the small building on his scooter.
Back in the room, they took a shower. Then, Lillian brought William and Henry back to the room, telling Heather and Patricia to go out for a walk.
William and Henry sat between them, playing with toys.
"Honey, do they not look like me at all? Lisa said they looked a lot like me when I was little," Lillian said, looking at the kids' faces and then at her own on her phone.
Alexander said, "I think both kids look like you, not like me at all. Hopefully, when Moonlight is born, she'll look like me. They say daughters resemble their fathers."
Lillian giggled, "As for Moonlight, I think we'll have to wait until next year. Aren't you planning the wedding? Tell me, how are you planning it, where will it be?"
Alexander glanced at her, a smug smile on his lips, "Not telling you, it's supposed to be a surprise."
"Being mysterious?" Lillian said, playing with a small toy in her hand, "I hope it's a pleasant surprise, not a shock. But just a friendly reminder, no public proposals, I don't like that. I have a girlish heart, I want a dreamy wedding."
"Got it!"
As they chatted, Henry suddenly started crying loudly, startling them. They saw William holding a rattle, waving it at Henry, ready for a second hit.
Lillian quickly picked him up, "William, how can you hit Henry?"
Alexander held Henry, soothing him, "Don't cry. Daddy's here."
William, scolded by his mom, also started crying, joining Henry.
Each holding a child, they tried to calm them down.
"Honey, what do we do? They won't stop crying."
"I don't know either, let's get out of bed and walk around, maybe they'll stop."
As new parents, they could only gain experience through practice.
