Chapter 358 New Year

Lillian unconsciously touched her face and asked in disbelief, "Really?"

Shirley said, "Look how nervous you are. Are you so worried about getting old? Afraid Mr. Sinclair will abandon you?"

"Of course not." Lillian arrogantly lifted her chin and said, "But I am worried about getting old, though it has nothing to do with Alexander."

"Don't worry, you still look very young. What I meant was your overall demeanor." Shirley said with a smile.

Hearing this, Lillian felt a bit relieved and asked about Shirley's recent situation, "Hasn't any guy in the company pursued you? Another year has passed; it's time to start dating. How about I introduce you to a guy?" Lillian's gaze fell on Michael, who was not far away.

"Who do you want to introduce to me?" Shirley followed her gaze. "Michael?" she exclaimed, "Are you kidding me?"

Lillian said, "What's wrong with Michael? He's such a good person, handsome and promising. Now he lives in the same neighborhood as me, and his sister comes to my house every day. I know him well, and I feel assured if you date him."

"Forget it; I can't match up to him," Shirley said and turned to leave.

But Lillian grabbed the waistband of her evening dress and waved at Michael.

"Mrs. Sinclair." Michael walked over with a glass of wine and glanced at Shirley.

Lillian introduced to Michael, "This is Shirley from the executive office." Then she turned to Shirley. "Shirley, this is Michael."

Shirley nodded slightly and said, "Michael has been to the company before; we've met."

"Right, I forgot that you're partners." Lillian said, then suddenly remembered something and said, "You chat first. I just remembered I have something to do, related to the kids. I need to make a call." She then turned and left.

Shirley and Michael exchanged awkward but polite smiles, and their glasses clinked crisply in the air.

Alexander, Caspian, and Theodore were standing in a corner, drinking and chatting.

"Is the matter with Evelyn resolved?" Theodore asked Caspian.

Caspian, who had been frequently looking towards the door, turned and paused, saying, "It's all resolved. I taught Daniel a lesson and kicked him out of Rihegde."

"Doing good deeds without leaving a name again." Alexander teased Caspian, exchanging a glance with Theodore, both laughing.

Caspian smiled bitterly and downed his drink. "If she knew, she'd probably say something to make me feel bad."

"Why was Evelyn so careless this time? I heard Amos got quite a beating." Theodore said.

Caspian replied, "I think he's just pretending to be pitiful. Evelyn is truly bewitched by Amos; he has her completely figured out. Just watch; that fool Evelyn will be deeply moved this time for sure." It seemed Caspian was so angry that he even started calling Evelyn a fool.

"Don't you want her to know you stood up for her? Maybe she'd be touched by you too." Alexander clinked glasses with Caspian and asked.

"If she was going to be moved, it would've happened long ago," Caspian said irritably. "She's such a handful. She's going to regret this so much, she'll be crying her eyes out later."

"You want to see her cry? You've been secretly fixing things for her before they even become a problem," Theodore teased him.

"This time I won't help her! She'll never listen to advice until she learns the hard way." Caspian said angrily.

Just then, the door opened, and Evelyn walked in gracefully. Caspian's eyes lit up.

Alexander and Theodore exchanged a look and shook their heads with a chuckle.

On New Year's Day, with Justin and Linda not at Sinclair Villa, and Ethan at Beatrice's house, Sinclair Villa was cold and quiet.

Alexander suggested that Samantha bring Leah to his place to celebrate the New Year.

Samantha didn't want to go anywhere from Sinclair Villa, but Leah didn't want to spend a dull New Year with her, so she dragged her to Alexander's house.

Including the servants, there were about ten people in Alexander's place, making it very lively.

Since returning to the country, Samantha had been in low spirits, still upset about Ethan and Beatrice's pregnancy. After dinner, she went upstairs to rest.

Leah had plans with friends to watch fireworks by the river. Worried about her, Alexander asked Kevin to accompany her, making Leah very happy.

Alexander and Lillian played with William and Henry for a while, and after putting them to sleep, they returned to their room. After washing up, they got into bed and, as usual, chatted before sleeping.

"Honey, are we going to Harry's house tomorrow?" Lillian asked.

"Sure," Alexander replied concisely.

Lillian said, "It's New Year today; I wonder how things are at home."

"No calls, so no fights." Alexander joked.

Lillian said, "You know if you had fired Trevor, I don't think Lola would love him so much."

"Honey, I won't take the blame for that." Alexander said, "If they want to be together, it has nothing to do with whether I fire Trevor or not. Understand?"

Seeing her frown, Alexander reached out to smooth it and said, "It's New Year today; let's not talk about unhappy things. Do you have anything to say to me?"

Lillian smiled playfully. "Do you have anything to say to me?"

Alexander moved closer, holding her tightly, looking at her with a seductive gaze, and said with a smile, "Of course I do. I was thinking, should we have another child?"

"You're so annoying. I'm talking seriously, and you're saying such dirty things." Lillian said shyly, her hand on his chest.

"Honey, this is the most serious talk," Alexander whispered in her ear, his breath warm and ticklish, making her laugh uncontrollably.

Her laughter aroused his desire. Without further ado, he kissed her lips.

"Honey." Lillian pretended to push him away. "We haven't finished talking. I still have something to say."

"Let's talk after making love," Alexander said impatiently.

Lillian blushed, her heart fluttered, and she soon responded passionately to him.

After making love, they lay in bed, panting.

"Honey, what did you want to say?" Alexander asked, holding her in his arms.

Too tired to say, Lillian mumbled sleepily, "I'm so tired. Let's talk tomorrow."
