Chapter 168 Villa Party

After catching the sunrise, everyone headed back to the villa. They hadn't eaten yet, so Caspian suggested Alexander make breakfast again. Alexander had taken on the role of Lillian's personal chef to ensure she ate well during her pregnancy.

"Thanks to you, Lillian, we get to enjoy Alexander's cooking," Caspian joked.

Evelyn, worried he might say something inappropriate, snapped, "Can you just eat and be quiet? Hurry up and stop talking."

Lillian, watching them bicker, laughed. "You two are hilarious."

"What's so funny? He's driving me nuts," Evelyn shot back, then turned to Caspian. "Are you sticking around all day?"

"Where else would I go? You want me to leave?" Caspian asked, tilting his head.

Evelyn sighed, "No, but if you're staying, I'm heading to the studio. I was too gullible to believe you yesterday. Otherwise, I wouldn't have come."

"What did he say?" Lillian asked, curious.

Evelyn sneered. "He promised that once we got to the villa, he wouldn't bother me. But look at him, always hovering around. I shouldn't have trusted him."

Feeling wronged, Caspian said, "I just wanted you to keep Lillian company."

"Stop using Lillian as an excuse. She has Alexander!" Evelyn snapped, pushing her chair back and storming upstairs.

Caspian, frustrated, put down his fork and muttered, "That unromantic woman!"

Lillian, enjoying the drama, turned to Alexander. "Do you think the more they argue, the more they like each other?"

"I don't know. I think they're just bored," Alexander replied sarcastically.

Later, Evelyn went to her studio. Lillian spent her time painting and chatting with friends online, sharing photos of the villa and the beach.

User 1: [A beach villa! If Crazia Alex confesses to the Seventh Princess here, with the beach, waves, and a distant sunrise, it would be so romantic.]

User 2: [I agree. If the Seventh Princess paints it, it would be even better. Looking forward to Crazia Alex's confession to the Seventh Princess.]

User 3: [I want to see the inside of the villa. The Seventh Princess is so lucky.]

Reading the replies, Lillian imagined the romantic scene they described and laughed.

Just then, Alexander walked in and saw her grinning like a cat that got the cream. "What are you laughing at? You look like you've done something naughty."

"Nothing, just saw a funny video. It's pretty amusing," Lillian said.

Alexander leaned in to see her tablet. "What funny video? Let me see."

"I didn't save it. It's gone!" Lillian clutched the tablet to her chest, panicking.

Alexander smiled and didn't push further. "Invite your friends over for the weekend. Have you called them yet?"

"Not yet, I'll call them in a bit," Lillian replied, still on guard.

Alexander glanced at the tablet and said, "I won't look. You're so jumpy. I'll leave you to it, okay?"

After Alexander left, Lillian relaxed and invited Angela and Wendy to the villa. They quickly agreed, and she sent them the location.

On Friday night, Kevin brought Luke over. Luke immediately complained about being left alone. Alexander went upstairs to work without a word, while Lillian cheered Luke up by playing games with him.

Saturday morning, friends started arriving. Theodore was first with appetizers. Tom, happy to see Angela, tried to hug Lillian but stopped when Alexander glared at him.

Angela and Wendy arrived around noon with fruits and drinks, feeling they should bring something for their first visit. Lillian felt like she was seeing family, and her loneliness vanished.

Unexpectedly, Jackson and Nico also showed up. Nico looked tired but brightened up when she saw Luke. Lillian marveled at the power of maternal love.

Caspian noticed most friends had arrived, but Evelyn was still out. She had mentioned an appointment. He texted her, but she didn't reply.

On the way back to the villa, Evelyn drove, glancing at Shae beside her and worriedly said, "Isn't it rude to show up unannounced? Won't Alexander be upset?"

Shae, fixing her hair in a small mirror, replied, "No, Alexander won't be mad at me. Don't worry."

Evelyn frowned, feeling uneasy. "Do you really know the president of the Marine Company? If I take you to the villa, you have to keep your promise! If you deceive me, you'll be done for."

"Evelyn, I'm your good friend. How can you talk to me like that?" Shae put away the mirror. "I won't lie. I didn't tell Alexander in advance because I wanted to surprise him."

"So did you use the president of the Marine Company to threaten me?" Evelyn asked, annoyed.

"It's just a trade, okay?" Shae laughed.

Evelyn looked at her, feeling something was off. "You seem strange today, but I can't say exactly how. Just don't cause any trouble."

"I'm just here for the party. I won't bother Lillian," Shae said generously.

Evelyn regretted her impulsive decision, but it was too late as they were almost at the villa.

Her phone buzzed with a message from Caspian, but she ignored it.

Shae quickly tapped the voice message, and Caspian's unhappy voice came through, "Evelyn, are you lost? Hurry up and come back."

"Caspian seems to care about you," Shae said enviously. "I wish Alexander cared about me like that."
