Chapter 356 Evelyn Was Sexually Harassed
The client Evelyn met with today was of great importance and extremely challenging to secure a deal with. To negotiate this business, she had made numerous trips back and forth.
"Which company is it that requires you to personally negotiate?" Amos asked, puzzled.
Evelyn looked down at the documents and said, "Visionary Pathways Inc. They're opening a branch, and need interior design for an entire building."
Amos asked, "What's the issue now? Is Visionary Pathways Inc. that powerful? They're opening a branch, after all."
"The problem is the competition," Evelyn said. "Don't bother me right now; I'm busy."
Amos obediently stopped talking and drove to Visionary Pathways Inc.
As they arrived at the destination, Evelyn said, "Amos, I don't know when I'll be done. If you get bored, just drive around and wait for my call."
Amos hugged he and encouraged her, "Honey, you can do it!"
Watching Evelyn enter Visionary Pathways Inc., Amos leaned back in his seat, took out his phone, and made a voice call to Brenda.
Evelyn took the elevator to the CEO's office.
When Visionary Pathways Inc.'s CEO, Daniel King, saw her, he enthusiastically stood up from his chair and walked towards her.
Evelyn smiled slightly and subtly avoided him.
Daniel was somewhat lecherous; every time she came, he tried to make physical contact with her.
"Mr. King, hello," Evelyn said with a smile. "I'm here today to discuss our cooperation."
"Evelyn, come and have a seat before talking." Daniel, who was more than ten years older than Evelyn, spoke with an air of seniority.
At this moment, the secretary brought in tea and then quietly left.
Daniel crossed his legs and said meaningfully, "Evelyn, as you're aware, you're not the only company approaching us for collaboration. There are so many proposals that I'm finding it quite difficult to decide."
"Mr. King, as I said before, if you have any requirements, just let us know. We'll do our best to meet them," Evelyn said sincerely.
Daniel stroked his chin, leering at her from head to toe, and then smiled maliciously, his gaze finally settling on her chest.
Evelyn frowned, covered her mouth with her hand, and lightly coughed before saying to Daniel, "Mr. King, do you have any specific requirements for our proposal?"
Daniel grinned and moved closer, placing his hand on her thigh. "I have no requirements for the proposal, but I do have some for you."
Evelyn's face darkened, but she held back her anger, gently removing his hand and softly saying, "Mr. King, as long as you have no issues with the proposal, that's fine. If you don't want to see me, I can leave now and have someone else from our company discuss the cooperation with you."
Daniel said, "Evelyn, why are you playing dumb with me? I quite like you; don't you like me?" As he spoke, his hand once again roamed up her leg.
Unable to bear it any longer, Evelyn angrily slapped his hand away and sternly said, "Mr. King, please watch your behavior!"
"I could tell from the start that you have a strong personality, but I like that!" Daniel didn't restrain himself; instead, he lunged at her.
Furious, Evelyn pushed him away and said angrily, "Daniel, watch your behavior! With your character, I wouldn't want to cooperate with you anyway. Goodbye!"
She walked quickly towards the door, but Daniel became even more brazen, grabbing her from behind and laughing in her ear, "Thinking of leaving? Well, it's not that easy! Today, I won't show you any respect, and let's see what you can do about it!" He then started kissing her ear.
Evelyn screamed in disgust, struggling with all her might, "Let go of me! You bastard! My boyfriend is waiting downstairs, and he has a bad temper. If you don't want to get hurt, let me go now!"
Daniel laughed. "Scream all you want; no one can hear you. My office is soundproof." He forcefully turned her around, holding her waist as he moved closer.
Disgusted, Evelyn lifted her leg to kick him hard and kneed him forcefully.
But Daniel seemed very experienced; he dodged easily. "Evelyn, you're ruthless. If you damage my penis, how will you compensate me?" His lecherous smile disappeared, replaced by a vicious look as he pushed her onto the sofa and pounced on her.
Evelyn kicked and punched in panic, pulling her phone from her coat pocket.
Daniel slowed down in pain after she scratched him twice.
Seizing the opportunity, Evelyn kicked him away and quickly called Amos.
Daniel got up, took a few steps forward, and pounced on her again, causing her phone to fall.
"Get off me, you bastard!" Evelyn's fingernails scratched his face without mercy.
Daniel restrained her hands and angrily said, "Today, I must fuck you."
Amos was leisurely playing on his phone in the car when the call interrupted him. Hearing Daniel's vicious words, his eyes widened. Without hesitation, he quickly got out of the car and ran into the building.
The security guard at the entrance tried to stop him, but Amos, in his urgency, didn't have time to argue. He knocked the guard down with two punches and got into the elevator.
In a fit of anger and urgency, he stormed into the office, where Daniel was still locked in combat with Evelyn. Judging by the wounds on his face, he wasn't holding the upper hand.
Seeing the security guards catch up from behind, Amos turned and locked the door forcefully, then approached Daniel. Without a word, he grabbed Daniel by the collar and punched him in the face.
Evelyn screamed in fright, "Amos!"
Furious, Daniel shouted at the voice-activated door, "Unlock!" The door lock responded and opened.
Then he ordered, "Open the door!" The door obediently opened and the security guards swarmed in.
Daniel wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and angrily shouted, "Beat him up!"
Several security guards surrounded Amos, punching and kicking him.
Evelyn cried and shouted at Daniel, "Stop!"
"Stop? If you sleep with me, I'll make them stop!" Daniel said shamelessly.
Trembling with anger, Evelyn slapped him hard. "Daniel, remember what you did today. Do you think I'm easy to mess with? Do you think the Phillips family doesn't have pull in Rihegde? Ever heard of Alexander? That's my brother!"
