Chapter 76 I Won't Touch You
Lillian became nervous, but she pretended to be calm and replied, "You didn't do anything. The servant helped you onto the bed, and then you fell asleep."
"Did anyone come?" He didn't notice her discomfort and asked further.
"No one came. I fell asleep too," Lillian whispered to him, her head almost in the bowl.
Alexander looked up and stared at her coldly. "What's wrong with you today?"
"Huh?" Lillian looked up at him. "Nothing. I'm fine."
"Look into my eyes!" Alexander commanded with coercion.
Lillian's gaze flickered, and she blinked her eyes. "I told you, nothing is going on."
Alexander asked directly, "Did I do something to you last night?"
"No, no, really, we didn't do anything!" Lillian responded in a panic. She skipped breakfast and hurriedly got up, accidentally knocking her leg against the table.
Lillian hurried away in a panic while Alexander supported his forehead with one hand and lightly scratched his brow. He couldn't remember what he had done last night.
The morning air was fresh, with a subtle sea breeze because the small building was close to the seaside.
Lillian stood in the open space in front of the small building and did some exercises. Her cousins walked by with smiles in the distance. She looked at the spacious yard and thought about exploring it, expecting there would be fun things to do.
"Lillian, what are you looking at?" Rena came out of the house, propped her waist with one hand, and stood beside her.
Due to yesterday's accident, Lillian became guarded against Rena. So, she discreetly stepped back slightly and smiled faintly, saying, "Nothing. I just finished breakfast and did some exercises."
"The weather is nice," Rena looked up at the sky and said to her, "I heard from the servants that the western gate of the garden leads to the sea. The water there is clear, and the sand is soft. I'm thinking of going to play."
"Really? Then you can go with Blake," Lillian said nonchalantly.
Rena looked at Lillian apologetically and said, "Lillian, I'm really sorry about yesterday. I didn't expect that I would end up like that just from eating two oranges. I hope you won't be mad at me."
Lillian said, "Rena, we're all family. Your words are too polite. No one would have expected this. How could I be mad at you? I was even hoping you not to be mad at me."
Lillian could say these words to deal with people, but she didn't care to tell them. Regardless of whether Rena did it intentionally or unintentionally, Lillian had already drawn a line with Rena. She couldn't see the sincerity in Rena's eyes.
"Your words make me feel relieved," Rena affectionately held her hand and said happily, "All men in the family are going to play polo today. Shall we go and watch together?!"
"Polo?" Lillian asked, "Where?"
"Of course, at the polo field," Rena said.
At this moment, Alexander came out. Seeing them chatting happily, he approached and embraced Lillian's slender waist, then gently said, "Why didn't you wait for me? You ran out earlier."
Lillian felt as if she had been electrified. A tingling sensation shot from her waist to her limbs. She straightened her back, revealing a perfect smile, and tenderly said, "I came out to wait for you."
"Hey, Alexander, why are you flaunting your relationship again?" Rena's hand rested on her belly as she joked, "Good baby, we don't need to see Uncle Alexander and Aunt Lillian flaunting their love."
Blake also stepped out from inside and saw that Rena seemed to be joking with Alexander and Lillian, so he asked boldly, "What are you guys talking about?"
"I'm telling our baby not to pay attention to Uncle Alexander and Aunt Lillian flaunting their love," Rena replied.
"Honey, that's not fair." Blake turned to Alexander and said, "Alexander, it's okay. Flaunt away. We all envy you guys."
Lillian silently watched Blake and Rena, feeling a bit nervous. Her attention was solely focused on Alexander's hand resting on her waist. She thought, 'When will he let go?'
Alexander chuckled, "I'll take Lily for a stroll in the garden. We'll see you guys at the polo field later."
"Okay," Blake casually raised his hand.
They slowly walked along the stone path. Alexander's hand had already moved from Lillian's waist to her shoulder. He held her intimately, occasionally lowering his head to whisper in her ear.
The first time, Lillian thought he had something to say, so she listened carefully, but he said nothing. The second time, he leaned in again but still didn't say anything.
Lillian realized that he was acting. Blake and Rena were watching them.
"Mr. Sinclair, can you at least say a few lines? Otherwise, it's really awkward every time you lean in," Lillian finally spoke.
Alexander complied this time, whispering in her ear, "I have nothing to say to you!"
Annoyed, Lillian retorted, "If you have nothing to say, then don't make me play along with you!"
"Clause 66 of the agreement states that the wife must unconditionally cooperate with her husband," Alexander responded.
"No way! Do you actually remember that? Are you trying to deceive me?" Lillian asked in astonishment.
Coldly, Alexander sneered, "If you don't believe me, send a message to Kevin and ask him to send you a screenshot. But I advise against it, it's unnecessary."
"Whatever!" Lillian rolled her eyes and then gloomily asked, "Are there any provisions in the agreement that protect me?"
"Like what?"
"Anything that benefits me. The things you've said to me so far feel more like a tyrannical clause, all protecting you." Lillian said angrily.
"Not engaging in any intimate relations with you. Do you think this clause benefits you?" Alexander asked.
"Ah? Well, that's fine," Lillian said, unsure of what was happening as explicit thoughts suddenly filled her mind.
Alexander looked at her blank expression and asked, "What are you thinking?"
"Oh, nothing. This clause really does protect me, so thank you," Lillian replied.
She didn't know what made her ask, but she blurted out foolishly, "So, kissing is also not allowed, right? That's also a form of protection for me, isn't it?"
Alexander was taken aback. "You mean kissing?"
"Ah?" Seeing his puzzled expression, she realized she had said the wrong thing and quickly corrected herself, "No, I was just asking randomly, extending the topic."
They turned into another narrow path, out of Blake's sight.
Alexander removed his hand from her shoulder and said sternly, "Don't worry, I won't have a sexual relationship with you!"
In just a few seconds, his demeanor and aura had completely changed. Although Lillian couldn't sense any disgust, she could feel his seriousness.
"That's good," Lillian didn't know if she felt happy or worried. Her mind was in chaos, and she could only respond lightly.
