Chapter 300 Discussion on Parenting Concepts

After lunch, Lillian felt sleepy again. Alexander lay beside her and said, "I'll lull you to sleep."

Kelly and Gina had gone out for lunch and hadn't returned yet, giving the couple some time to be intimate.

"Aren't you going to work this afternoon?" Lillian sighed as she snuggled into his arms, "It's so nice after giving birth. I can finally be close to you again."

Alexander smiled and stroked her hair. "I'll leave after you fall asleep."

Lillian lay in his arms, listening to his strong heartbeat, feeling safe and content.

"Honey, after seeing our babies, I want to see them again. I love them so much."

Alexander said, "Me too. I've been busy at the company these days, and even during meetings, I get distracted thinking about you and our son. I want to come back and be with you both. So this is what it feels like to be a father"

"Maybe fathers and mothers feel differently," Lillian said. "I'm experiencing breast engorgement now. Kelly said that when I have breast engorgement, it means the babies are hungry. When I think about not being with them and them having to drink formula, I feel so guilty and heartbroken towards them."

"Your emotion is more intense because you gave birth to them. " Alexander gently patted her and said, "Honey, just giving birth to them is already amazing. Don't talk about feeling guilty, okay?"

"Honey, will you spoil them in the future, or will you be a strict father?" Lillian looked up at him curiously.

Alexander chuckled and said, "To be honest, I've read some parenting books and followed some parenting bloggers. They all have different opinions. I might spoil them and be strict, depending on the situation."

Lillian said, "You're better than me. You even follow parenting bloggers. My educational philosophy is to let them grow freely. It seems like our views are different."

Alexander said, "I think talking about this now is useless. We'll know how to deal with them when they grow up."

Lillian said, "That's true. So this responsibility falls on your shoulders!" Lillian said, wrapping her arms around his waist and smiling.

Alexander said, "Alright, I'll take care of you and our sons."

Lillian said, "Don't take care of me. I'm an adult."

Alexander said, "But in my eyes, you're just like the babies. You all need protection."

Lillian said, "Honey, you're so good at sweet-talking."

Alexander said, "My words are sincere."

Their conversation gradually quieted down, and Lillian fell asleep.

Kelly and Gina returned, and Alexander got up quietly, said a few words to them, and went back to the company.

At Beatrice's house.

"Ethan, shall we go see Lillian tonight? I just called Alexander, and he said Samantha might not go to the hospital today but will go tomorrow," Beatrice asked.

Ethan said, "Let's go to the hospital after dinner. That way, we can avoid running into her and seeing that unpleasant expression. Lillian just gave birth, and we don't want to upset her."

Beatrice said, "I don't want to argue with Samantha either. Lillian gave the Sinclair family two babies, which is a good thing. We can't let her be unhappy."

She sighed and stared blankly at a spot, not speaking.

"Are you thinking about the baby Nico miscarried?" Ethan asked.

Beatrice nodded, "Yes if she hadn't had a miscarriage, the baby would be a few months old by now. How great that would be."

"Let's wait for Blake's future wife to give him a child instead. Now that he's divorced recently, there's no need to rush about the child," Ethan comforted her.

Beatrice looked at him, hesitated, and asked, "Ethan, you said before that whoever has a child first, Blake or Alexander, would get your shares. Now that Blake has no hope, the shares should go to Alexander, right?"

Her tone was full of disappointment and a bit of reluctance, observing Ethan's expression.

Ethan pondered for a moment, then took Beatrice's hand and said meaningfully, "What I said, I will do. But I won't treat you unfairly. After all these years, don't you know how I feel about you? The Sinclair family has more than just 'the Whale Group'; there are other assets. Don't worry, you'll have your share."

Beatrice said, "I'm not in a hurry. I'm just worried Blake will feel bad. He's had a tough year, facing one setback after another. But he also did wrong, so I won't insist. With you by my side, I should be content."

"Blake is indeed a fool!" Ethan said sternly, "Brave but not wise!"

He continued, "If he can manage the jewelry store well, that's enough. Alexander oversees the company, and other shareholders watching closely, along with the cousins from the uncle's side. It will be extremely hard for Blake to take over the group. When I pass away, I'll leave my all inheritance to him."

"Blake is indeed not as good as Alexander. I've accepted that fact." She leaned against him and said softly, "Ethan, I'm content with your intentions. I've spent my life with you without a title. Blake is our son, and he's at a disadvantage. You really can't treat him unfairly."

Ethan said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of our son."

Beatrice didn't say anything, but she was satisfied with Ethan's words.

After dinner, Beatrice and Ethan went to the hospital. Lillian and Alexander had just finished eating and were chatting when they arrived.

"Lillian," Beatrice said warmly, "How are you? You need to keep a happy mood. If you have any problems, speak up. I'm afraid you might develop postpartum depression."

Lillian said, "I'm very happy every day. I just miss the babies."

Lillian was surprised that Beatrice mentioned this because no one else had told her to keep a happy mood or mentioned postpartum depression. She couldn't help but admire Beatrice for always hitting the key points, making her seem like a truly understanding person.

Beatrice said warmly, "Ethan and I haven't seen the babies yet. Are they doing well?"

Lillian said, "They're fine."

Beatrice turned to Alexander and said, "Alexander, take us to see the babies. I'll chat with Lillian when we get back." With that, they left the room.

Lillian let out a long breath and whispered to Kelly, "How can she face me without any guilt?"

Kelly instinctively glanced at Gina and replied softly, "She may have gotten used to maintaining a calm expression."

Lillian responded, and with Gina there, she didn't want to complain to Kelly anymore.

She picked up her tablet and logged into the forum.

After giving birth, she told her forum friends and received many congratulations. In her good mood, she drew a few comics, filled with love.
