Chapter 391 Wendy, Angela, and Lillian's Memories
Caspian chuckled, "Angela, that's just your opinion. Does Wendy think the same way?" After he finished speaking, he stared intently at Wendy.
Wendy was confused, not understanding why Caspian was being so aggressive.
"You guys are overthinking it. Aaron was just telling a polite lie earlier, and you all took it seriously," Wendy said. "I was just joking around."
Angela said, "Wendy, idols aren't unattainable. You like Aaron, and now you have this opportunity, you should seize it. Don't back down because of a few words from Caspian."
Caspian propped his arm on the table, looking at Wendy, and said, "Wendy, the questions I asked were to help you see and understand your true feelings."
"Caspian, why are you talking so strangely? Don't you know Wendy's true feelings? What are you avoiding?" Angela said.
"Angela!" Wendy, nervous, rushed to cover Angela's mouth.
Caspian's expression sterned darkened, and he said nothing.
The others at the table noticed that there might be feelings between Caspian and Wendy, and they looked slightly surprised.
Tom's reaction was particularly big. His eyes wide open, pointing at Wendy and then at Caspian, asking incredulously, "Have you two dated privately?"
Wendy, embarrassed, said, "No, don't make wild guesses."
Angela, calming down, said to Tom, "Anyway, arrange the blind date as soon as possible."
Lillian, sensing the tension, quickly tried to smooth things over, saying to Angela and Wendy, "We've almost finished eating. Let's go back to my room."
Angela turned to Ivan and said, "Take your time drinking. I'll go chat with Wendy and Lillian."
Wendy, almost fleeing, followed Lillian out of the dining room. Back in the room, she couldn't help but complain to Angela, "Why did you have to say that about Caspian in front of everyone? It was so awkward! No one knew before, but now everyone does."
Angela sat on a single sofa, crossing her legs, and said indignantly, "Are you scolding me on behalf of Caspian? Is it wrong for me to dislike the way Caspian talks? He knows you have feelings for him, yet he says those sarcastic things to make you see your heart and obstruct your blind date. What's his deal? He doesn't want you, but he doesn't want anyone else to have you either? How disgusting is that?"
"Caspian isn't like that. He just wants me to see that liking an idol is different from liking Aaron.," Wendy said, exasperated.
Angela said, "You're so naive to think that! I'm telling you, Wendy, he's just deceiving you."
Wendy held her head, sitting to the side sulking.
Lillian, seeing both of them angry, tried to mediate, "Don't be mad."
Lillian said to Wendy, "Angela is just standing up for you. I was also upset hearing Caspian talk to you like that."
"Angela, and you too, saying Caspian was a bit too much. You should have used sarcastic words to talk back to him."
Wendy, hearing this, unhappily exclaimed, "Lillian!"
Angela, annoyed, said, "You feel sorry for Caspian, but does he feel sorry for you? Who are Lillian and I doing this for?"
Wendy, pouting and teary-eyed, said, "I know you both mean well. But can you understand how I feel? Can you just forget about someone you love? You know how it feels, don't you?"
Angela looked at her deeply, then sighed helplessly, "Fine, I understand. I won't argue with him anymore, and I won't say anything to you either." She went over to wipe Wendy's tears, softening her tone, "It's my fault, okay?"
"It's not that, Angela, don't say that. I know you care about me," Wendy said, feeling sad, and burst into tears.
Seeing them reconcile, Lillian breathed a sigh of relief, hugging them both, "After arguing and crying, it's all good."
Lillian suddenly had a thought and said, "Let me show you something."
"What is it?" Wendy asked.
Lillian took out a photo album from the cabinet, spread it out in the middle, and said with a smile, "I found this at Lisa's house the other day and brought it back. It's full of our youthful memories. Let's take a look."
The photos were from their middle school days up to college. As they slowly flipped through the album, their young and innocent faces appeared, so pure and full of life.
"Lillian, do you remember him?" Wendy pointed to a boy in a group photo, laughing, "He pursued you so fervently that even the principal got involved."
Angela, puzzled, asked, "Who is this boy? I don't remember him at all."
Lillian, flipping through the album, said, "It's better not to know. I don't even remember his name. Only Wendy remembers this guy."
"And this person, the top student in the class, got together with the second top student. Later, for some reason, his grades dropped, and the second top student immediately broke up with him and secured the first place," Wendy said, pointing to a boy and a girl, speaking with interest.
"High school was so boring, and there were such dramatic events?" Lillian and Angela asked in surprise, clearly not remembering.
On a new page, the entire page was filled with photos of the three sisters. In the top right corner, there was a photo of the three sisters with a boy. The boy was tall and handsome, standing next to Angela, with his arm gently around her shoulder, smiling brightly.
"This person," Lillian said, taking a closer look, "Who is he? He looks so familiar."
Wendy leaned in to look and suddenly realized, "Lillian, how can you not remember him? He was Angela's first love! We only had the chance to meet him once, and then he went abroad."
"I remember now!" Lillian said, recalling, "This was around Christmas, right? He came from Atlanta to see Angela."
"Yes, it was our sophomore year. He treated us to hot pot, but I don't remember when this photo was taken," Wendy said, unable to recall.
"He suggested taking the photo. It was in front of the mall," Angela said, her eyes sparkling, her voice trembling slightly.
"That was three or four years ago, right?" Lillian counted on her fingers.
"Wait!" Wendy said, frowning at the photo, "Lillian, look, who does the first love look like?"
Lillian looked closely and suddenly widened her eyes, "Oh my God! How does he look so much like Ivan? I said he looked familiar!"
Wendy asked Angela, "Angela, did you get a substitute?"
