Chapter 236 Lillian Entertains Alexander

It was nice. After breakfast, Lillian sat on the sofa on the balcony, holding her tablet and watching a show. Angela's balcony was wide and spacious, decorated with flowers and plants, like a small garden.

Angela sat nearby, sipping tea, and said, "It's actually good that you can't join us for the road trip. I was against it from the start, but Wendy kept insisting on bringing you along. Let's talk about it after you have the baby."

Lillian asked, "Do you two have decided? Are you going on a road trip to the prairie? Your vacation is so short. Can you make it back in time?"

"I don't really care. It's Wendy who wants to go to the prairie to relax. I'm just accompanying her," Angela said helplessly.

Lillian said, "Well, I wish you a safe trip. Bring me back some local delicacies."

At that moment, Alexander called her, "Honey, I'll be there in ten minutes. Get ready and ask Angela to take you downstairs."

"So soon? Is Oscar home? I thought it would be in the afternoon. Wait for me downstairs." Lillian ended the call and said to Angela, "Alexander is almost here. I have to go."

"You're anxious," Angela stood up as well. "However, seeing how well you two are getting along, I'm happy for you."

Lillian said, "Angela, don't just be happy for me. You should find a boyfriend, too. I can look for someone from Alexander's circle. I think Mr. Wellington is quite nice. Do you remember him?"

"I remember. He's a decent guy," Angela recalled driving him last time and said, "However, I don't have any feelings for him."

"Mr. Wellington is mature and steady. Don't you like that type?" Lillian asked curiously as she walked towards the room.

"No, I still prefer being alone," Angela said seriously, helping her with her bag.

"I hope you won't go back on your words later," Lillian thought. Angela couldn't stay single forever.

Ten minutes later, Angela took Lillian downstairs. Alexander was leaning against the car, talking on the phone, and didn't notice them coming out.

"Angela, isn't my husband handsome?" Lillian asked excitedly.

Angela replied truthfully, "He is indeed very handsome."

Lillian looked at him with satisfaction and said, "If my two sons inherit his looks and build, I'll be content."

"What's wrong with them looking like you? You're very beautiful, too. Why do both have to look like him?" Angela disagreed with her.

"I think boys should look more like him," Lillian said.

Angela snorted dismissively.

Alexander finished his call, turned around, saw Lillian walking over, quickly went to her, hugged her, and took the bag from Angela.

"Thank you, Dr. Turner," Alexander thanked her.

Angela said, "Mr. Sinclair, no need to be so polite. It's my duty."

Alexander held Lillian's hand and walked to the car, took out a set of cosmetic gift boxes, and gave it to Angela, saying, "This is a gift for your kindness."

"Thank you, Mr. Sinclair." Angela accepted it gladly.

Lillian said to her, "I'm leaving now. Call me if you need anything."

"Bye-bye." Angela waved as she watched them get into the car. She looked down at the cosmetic gift box and was surprised by the brand.

Back home, Lillian couldn't wait to go upstairs to see Oscar. Oscar was playing on his phone and smiled when he saw Lillian rushing in. "I can't run away," he said.

"Have you recovered well this week? You look more rosy," Lillian said with relief, sitting in front of Oscar.

"Kelly makes me nutritious food every day. If I didn't look better, it would be a waste of her efforts," Oscar joked.

"Has Emily gone back?" She asked again.

"Of course, she wouldn't stay here."

Seeing Oscar in good spirits, Lillian was completely relieved. "Alright, you play. I won't disturb you. I'll ask Kelly to bring you some fruit. Is your heart feeling okay?"

Oscar replied, "I've been taking my medication, no discomfort."

Lillian said, "That's good."

In the evening, Kelly and Gina made a big table of delicious food to celebrate Oscar's successful recovery. Everyone was happy and had a great dinner.

At night, Lillian lay in Alexander's arms, gently rubbing her belly, and said, "I ate so much tonight. I didn't feel comfortable eating at Angela's place so I miss Kelly's cooking every day."

"Honey, you've worked hard," Alexander turned to kiss her head.

"It's nothing. The nutrition is enough, but the taste is a bit off," Lillian said indifferently, turning to him, touching his face, and saying with concern. "But you, you've had a hard time these days, haven't you? I see you've lost weight."

"I just haven't been eating well. Once I eat normally, I'll gain the weight back," Alexander held her hand, placed it on his chest, and said sincerely. "I'm really sorry for making you worry so much lately. I haven't taken good care of you."

Lillian comforted, "Honey, you can't control everything. Don't blame yourself. I'm already very grateful to you for taking such good care of me and Oscar. You have nothing to apologize for."

"Why?" Alexander asked, puzzled.

Lillian looked at him with her watery eyes and said, "If I weren't so charming and made you fall in love with me, I wouldn't have become a target for those people, causing you so much worry and pain. It's all my fault."

Alexander couldn't help but laugh at her performance. "Honey, you're so funny. You're right. It should be you apologizing to me."

"Honey, I'm sorry. It's all my fault for making you fall in love with me! What should I do? The one I love is right in front of me, but we can't be together forever. Oh God, why are you treating me this way?" Lillian got more into her act.

Alexander hugged her, laughing. "Honey, stop teasing me. My stomach hurts from laughing."

His laughter vibrated through his chest and into Lillian's ears.

She looked up at him and asked, "Are you felling better now?"

Alexander looked at her affectionately, touched by her attentiveness.

"Honey, thank you." He lowered his head and kissed her lips.

They had a good night's sleep. The next day was the weekend, and Lillian wanted to go shopping. She had been bored at home these days. Coincidentally, Jackson said he missed Lucas. After asking for Lucas's opinion and getting his agreement, they sent him over. Then, the two of them went shopping.
