Chapter 403 Amy Gets Upset
In the banquet hall, Leah sat there bored, drinking alone.
Amy somehow came back, sat across from her, and asked, "Leah, I can't remember Alexander's phone number. Tell me quickly, I need to talk to him."
Leah looked at her speechlessly and lazily asked, "What do you need him for? I'll tell him when I get home."
"No, you can't know about this. Just give me the number," Amy seemed very anxious.
Leah replied perfunctorily, "I don't remember his number either, and I forgot my phone. I'll call you when I get home."
As soon as she finished speaking, Cynthia stormed over, plopped down, and asked, "Where's Alexander? Did he leave?"
"Why should I tell you?" Leah rolled her eyes at her.
Amy frowned at Cynthia, nudged her arm, and asked confusedly, "Who are you? Why are you looking for Alexander?"
Cynthia looked at the unfamiliar face in front of her, shrugged her arm, and said irritably, "Who are you? What business is it of yours?"
"No, I'm asking you, why are you looking for Alexander?" Amy asked again, her eyes unfriendly.
Cynthia was also annoyed, "I want to find him, what's it to you? You're not his wife!"
Amy stubbornly said, "I'm not now, but I definitely will be in the future!"
"Stop dreaming! He already has a wife, didn't you know?" Cynthia retorted.
"Can you two stop arguing? It's so annoying!" Leah said to Amy, "Where's Jared? Why isn't he with you?"
Amy ignored her, her eyes filled with rage, grabbed Cynthia's wrist, and asked sternly, "What did you say? He's married? How could he be married at his age?"
"Are you crazy? Alexander is already thirty, is it strange for him to be married? Not only is he married, but he also has kids!" Cynthia looked at her like she was an idiot and said.
Amy was shocked, muttering, "That's impossible. Alexander is only seventeen, how could he be thirty? You must be lying to me!"
Seeing her like this, Leah angrily said to Cynthia, "Stop talking, she is sick! You should leave!"
"Leah, I want to leave, but look, she's holding onto me and won't let go! This woman is too strong!" Cynthia said angrily.
Leah looked around but couldn't see Jared.
Leah, afraid that Amy would have another episode, quickly coaxed her, "Amy, don't listen to her nonsense. Alexander isn't married. Let go of her, and I'll take you to find Jared."
"No!" Amy screamed, her voice hoarse, "What's going on? What time is it now? Is Alexander married or not? Tell me!"
Before Leah could speak, Cynthia interjected, "Of course, he's married, he just didn't have a wedding!"
"Cynthia!" Leah angrily pushed her hard and scolded, "Can you shut up?"
Amy was completely triggered by Cynthia's words, her head aching, and many familiar scenes flashed through her mind.
She clutched her head with both hands, eyes tightly closed, and screamed in pain.
Her actions attracted the attention of the people around her. Jared hurriedly squeezed through the crowd, holding a chocolate in his hand.
"Amy, what's wrong?" Jared hugged her with one arm and gently coaxed, "I bought you chocolate. I'm late, are you mad?"
Amy looked up at him from his arms, her eyes filled with panic, and said tremblingly, "Jared, they said Alexander is married, and he's thirty! How is that possible?"
Jared's expression turned grim, and he looked at Leah with a stern face.
Leah quickly shook her head, "I didn't say it, she did." She pointed unceremoniously at Cynthia.
"Jared, tell me, is what they said true? Is Alexander married? What about me? Does he not want me anymore?" Amy cried out in despair, asking.
She looked at Jared with hopeful eyes, then suddenly felt something was wrong, pushed him away, and rushed towards Cynthia, pressing her shoulders, her expression twisted, and loudly asked, "Is what you said true? Is he married with kids?"
Cynthia was also scared by her appearance, her previous arrogance gone, and stammered, "Yes."
Jared walked over, broke their arms apart, and pulled Amy away, saying as he walked, "Amy, let's go home first."
"No!" Amy shook off his arm, crying, "I don't want you to care! You liar!" She said, then turned and ran away crying.
Seeing this, Jared anxiously shouted from behind, "Amy, come back!"
"Can't you read the situation? I told you she's sick, and you still told her the truth!" Leah said angrily.
"And you're blaming me? How was I supposed to know if what you said was true? She seemed to be talking normally, not like someone sick at all!"
"Too lazy to talk to you!" Leah glared at her and walked away.
After Jared ran out, Amy was nowhere to be seen. He anxiously called her name but couldn't find her.
"Amy! Amy!" He walked and shouted, not daring to go far, afraid she was nearby.
Amy squatted between two cars, listening to Jared's calls, feeling extremely distressed. 'What is going on? No, I must find Alexander and ask him clearly!'
She just stood up and felt dizzy. Wearing only a thin dress, she was already shivering from the cold. She stepped towards the street, trying to hail a cab. Just as she raised her hand, Jared suddenly appeared and grabbed her.
"Amy, where did you go?!" Jared hugged her tightly, asking fearfully. Then he took off his suit jacket and put it on her.
"Let's go home."
"I want to find Alexander, I need to ask him clearly why he doesn't want me!" Amy cried and shouted.
Jared coaxed, "Let's get in the car first, it's so cold outside, you'll catch a cold."
Sitting in the warm car, Amy kept her head down, crying, and muttering, "Why? Even if he got married, it should have been with me."
Jared said, "Amy, this is a long story. I'll explain it to you at home."
Amy said, "Tell me now, I want to know now. Don't lie to me!"
She asked again, "Leah just said I'm sick, what's wrong with me? I'm fine, aren't I?"
Jared looked at her with a pained expression and said, "Amy, you don't have any major illness, you just had a car accident before and got amnesia."
