Chapter 90 Return My Favor

"I can't." Alexander replied without hesitation.

Lillian turned to look at him, "Why? I've been accommodating you to visit your ancestral home. Why can't you accompany me to my family's place? Do you look down on us as poor?"

"It's not about wealth." Alexander said, "You need to know your place."

"What's wrong with my place? I know my place clearly. I know I'm the apology gift. I bow down to you, letting you insult me. I don't even have the right to negotiate with you. I've done everything I can to cooperate with you. But shouldn't you also know your place? Since it's a contractual marriage, can't we cooperate with each other?" Lillian said in a bit angry voice.

Alexander said with his eyes shut, "I have no obligation to cooperate with you. The agreement we signed only includes terms where you cooperate with me."

"Here we go again!" Lillian was frustrated. "How many oppressive terms did you put in that agreement? Why is it that every request I make seems to conveniently contradict the agreement?"

"I've said, if you have any objections, you can go and read the agreement. Don't question me." Alexander sneered. "Besides, even if you knew it was an unequal treaty at the time, could you have not signed it?"

Lillian forced herself to calm down, took a deep breath, and pleaded, "Alright, let's not bring up the past. Let's talk about now. Can you, for all the times I've cooperated with you, cooperate with me once? Consider it repaying my favor. Harry has been kind to Oscar and me, always wanting to see who I would marry. Is that so difficult?"

"Repay your favor?" Alexander smirked.

"Is that so? You're the one who took my first night. And you're the one who got me kidnapped. Aren't these things all because of you? Don't you owe me for that?" Lillian said angrily.

Alexander remained silent for a moment, lost in his thoughts.

Lillian called out to him again, "Alexander, say something."

"Alright, I'll go with you tomorrow. But it's a one-time thing." he said before turning over.

Lillian breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid that what she had just said would anger him and ruin his agreement.

"Thank you, Alexander. I won't bother you anymore. Get some rest. We'll leave early and come back early tomorrow." After he agreed, Lillian's tone became cheerful.

Alexander ignored her, thinking to himself, 'She's in a good mood, so she calls me my name so gentlely.'

The next morning, Lillian woke up early. Alexander and Lucas were still asleep. She quietly got out of bed and went back to her room.

Kelly knew that they were going to visit Lillian's family today, so she prepared a few high-end gift boxes for Lillian and said, "I prepared these for you before the Christmas vacation. Take them with you."

Lillian looked at them and said happily, "Kelly, thank you. I was wondering what to buy before going back."

"Give this one to Lisa. She'll be happy." Kelly smiled and asked, "Would you come back for dinner tonight?"

"We'll probably be back after having lunch."

The three men upstairs came swaying down. Let's not mention Lucas, but Alexander and Oscar looked like they had just gotten out of bed and come down to have breakfast.

"I thought we were leaving early today. Why haven't you two packed yet?" Lillian asked, trying to coax them.

Alexander, in his loungewear and glasses, paid no attention to her words as he focused on his tablet.

Oscar said nonchalantly, "Why leave so early? I don't want to see Lisa and Lola."

"Don't you want to see Harry?"

Oscar nodded, "I do miss Harry after such a long time."

Kelly served breakfast to Alexander, and said to Oscar, "Hurry up and eat. Once you're done, you can go back." She then called Alexander again, "Alexander, breakfast is ready."

Lillian and Oscar went to the kitchen to eat.

Lillian said to Oscar, "I know you dislike Lisa and Lola. I don't like them either. But for Harry's sake, let's not act up.”

"What I hate even more is Adam!" Oscar said angrily. "It's all because of him! I really want to take my anger out on him when I go back today!"

Lillian advised, "You can't do that. Don't dwell on the past. The die is cast. Besides, don't you really like Alexander? Consider it a good thing that Adam indirectly introduced you to the president of the Sinclair Group."

"That's true, but I'm still angry that he's such a coward. He always pushes you out and asks you to take his place. He's scum!"

"Let's not get angry for someone like him." Lillian comforted. "We're living better than him now, and that's what matters."

After breakfast, they came out of the kitchen, only to find that Alexander had already finished eating and was nowhere to be seen. Lucas was still eating slowly and said to the two of them, "Come back early in the evening."

Oscar went upstairs. Lillian tidied up and sat on the sofa, waiting for them. Not long after, Alexander went downstairs, followed by Oscar.

Dressed in a dark suit, his tall and straight figure exuded a sense of oppression. Among the people of his class, Alexander was the most prominent one.

Coming downstairs, Oscar, like a bodyguard, helped Alexander put on his cashmere coat, making him even more handsome.

Lillian was a little dazed. Who doesn't love to look at a man who is both handsome and wealthy?

"Lillian, let's go." Oscar called her, following Alexander to the door.

"Okay, let's go." Lillian replied, a bit awkwardly keeping up with their pace.

Kevin drove toward Lisa's house. Following the instructions of the Hill siblings, the car entered an old residential area. The road became narrower and more difficult to navigate, eventually forcing them to stop at an intersection.

"Alexander, I'll park the car on the side." Kevin said.

"Just have Oscar carry the things. You can wait in the car." Alexander instructed.

Lillian stood aside, feeling a bit out of place. She guessed that Alexander had never been to such a run-down place in his life.

Oscar, carrying the gift box, led the way and returned to Harry's home.

Lisa greeted them warmly, "Alexander, come in quickly. No need to change your shoes, just come in. Adam, Alexander is here. Come out."

Lillian felt awkward and uneasy as she looked at Alexander. Alexander remained indifferent, sitting on the slightly sunken sofa.

Lisa took the gift box from Oscar's hands and saw the words 'Collagen Peptides' and 'Fish Oil' on it, which surprised her and made her smile.
