Chapter 279 Alexander, Come out!
Harry walked up from behind and teased her, "This isn't your home, you really don't see yourself as an outsider, do you?"
Alexander said, "Let's go inside and talk."
The family sat down on the living room sofa. Lisa looked around with her head held high and praised, "This house is really impressive! Not bad!"
Adam said, "Mom, Do you even know who Alexander is?"
Camille said nothing, her eyes full of envy and her heart full of unwillingness. But she could do nothing, only feel envy and jealousy.
"Lillian," Lisa asked with a big smile, "you're almost at your due date, have you thought about where to go for postpartum recovery?"
Lillian said, "There are still more than two months to go, let's wait and see what happens."
"You're having twins, so you'll give birth earlier than the due date. It's better to plan early to save yourself some trouble later," Lisa said, then added with a smile, "How about I come to take care of you after you give birth?"
Lillian was stunned, "Aunt Lisa, don't you have work? How will you have the time?"
Alexander spoke up, "Aunt Lisa, you're getting older and might not be able to take care of a baby properly. We'll hire a nanny when the time comes."
Lisa thought for a moment, "That's true, it's better to hire a professional nanny nowadays."
"Mom, you're so old, how can you take care of a baby? You dare to think," Adam mocked.
Lillian, afraid Lisa would feel embarrassed, quickly smoothed things over, "Aunt Lisa, after the babies are born, come visit whenever you have time."
"Of course, I even made two quilts for the babies recently. I didn't bring them today, but I'll bring them over next time," Lisa said with a smile, not feeling awkward at all.
Seeing Lisa's happy smile, Lillian couldn't help but feel a bit emotional: When you have money, everyone around you is kind and friendly. In the past, Lisa never smiled at her like this.
After chatting for a while, Lillian felt a bit tired and needed to lie down in her room. Alexander asked them to rest for a bit and then accompanied Lillian out.
The family seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
Adam relaxed by putting his feet up on the coffee table, surveyed the house, and said to Lisa, "Mom, don't be envious. Give me another year, and I'll get you a house like this."
"You're just bragging!" Camille rolled her eyes, clearly doubting his words.
Lisa laughed, "Adam, just hearing you say that makes me happy."
"Well, I can't let your happiness go to waste," Adam said. "Look, Lillian is having a baby, Alexander should give us some benefits, right? I can take advantage of his joy from just becoming a father to ask him to give us this villa. I bet it won't be a problem."
Camille slapped her forehead, "I knew you wouldn't have any good ideas!"
Harry, his face stern, said angrily, "Adam, how could you think of asking Alexander for a villa? How could you even consider it?"
Adam said nonchalantly, "What's there to be embarrassed about? If you don't ask, you won't even have a chance! Lillian is already pregnant with his son, why can't he give us a villa?"
"No way!" Harry raised his voice, "I won't allow you to do that! Don't let people look down on you, and don't cause trouble for Lillian!"
Seeing Harry angry, Lisa quickly tried to calm him down, "He was just saying that, he wouldn't ask. Didn't you say you wanted to see the ocean? It's right there, go take a look. Camille, go with your father to see the ocean."
Camille took Harry's arm and walked slowly towards the beach.
Lisa whispered to Adam, "Adam, don't listen to your father. Your idea is pretty good. Alexander probably has more than one villa like this Seaside villa. We can ask him for one. Living by the sea, with the sea breeze and seafood, would be so comfortable!"
Adam said, "I like this seaside villa too. I'll work hard at my job and try to get it next year!"
They couldn't help but laugh at the thought of living in the villa.
Oscar came back with Lucas and saw them laughing, frowning slightly.
Adam was laughing heartily when he suddenly saw Oscar and Lucas standing not far away. He exclaimed and then patted his chest, still laughing, said, "You guys are back from playing?"
"What are you laughing about? It's scary!" Lucas asked in fear.
Adam moved his chin, patted his face, and grinned, "Scary? I'm so cute!"
"Oscar, let's go upstairs," Lucas said, ignoring Adam, and pulled Oscar's hand, heading upstairs.
Lisa whispered, "Don't get ahead of yourself before everything is finalized, keep a low profile."
At dinner, the chef prepared a sumptuous meal. Alexander drank and chatted with Harry, while Adam stood by.
"Alexander, now that Camille and Adam are working for you, it's a bit of a burden for you, and I feel guilty about it," Harry said sincerely.
"Harry, we're family. I'll help where I can, and Lillian will be happy too."
Harry smiled, "Lisa's personality is characterized by her love of money, please be torrent with her. We've all had tough times and are more obsessed with money."
"I understand," Alexander said understandingly, "You don't need to worry."
A red car slowly drove up and stopped not far from the villa.
Shae looked at the brightly lit villa through the car window, muttering in confusion, "Why are there people here? Did he sell the house?"
She had been drinking at home tonight, feeling upset and missing Alexander, so she decided to come over and take a look at the villa.
She got out of the car and walked towards the door, wanting to see who he sold the house to.
"Ms. Anderson?" Kevin, standing at the door, saw her and asked in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
Shae squinted at Kevin, suddenly realizing, "So the house wasn't sold, Alexander is here? Is he inside?" She said as she tried to walk in.
Kevin stopped her, politely saying, "Ms. Anderson, Mr. Sinclair is having dinner with his family. Please go back."
"What? Samantha is here too?" Shae, momentarily controlled by alcohol, spoke rudely, "What is she doing here? After all the bad things she's done, she still dares to come here?"
"Ms. Anderson, please watch your language," Kevin said sternly.
Shae sneered, took a few steps back unsteadily, cupped her hands around her mouth, and shouted with all her might, "Alexander! Come out! I'm here to see you!"
