Chapter 215 Shae and Taylor's Conspiracy

In the drizzle, Alexander smiled at Amy's photo on the tombstone. Her eyes seemed to say, "I'm doing just fine."

"Amy, I got married," Alexander said. "Her name's Lily. She's sweet and pregnant now."

He paused, feeling emotional. "After you passed, I thought I'd never love again."

He smiled. "Would you be mad at me for moving on?"

He laid out her favorite desserts. "I still miss you."

Alexander sighed, patting the tombstone, feeling conflicted.

"Alexander," Shae said, walking up quietly.

Alexander composed himself. "You talk to Amy. I'm leaving."

"Alexander!" Shae pleaded. "It's just us here every year. If you leave, Amy will be sad."

"I've told her everything. She knows I'm married and won't be mad." He glanced back. "You should update her on your life."

Shae frowned, watching him leave, frustrated.

She placed flowers by the tombstone, looking at Amy's photo. "You're so pathetic. He's married and having a kid. What place do you have in his heart now?"

Shae sneered. "He once loved you, now he loves someone else. Doesn't it break your heart?"

"You're dead. How could you feel heartbroken?" Shae said angrily. "Why did you die? Stop smiling at me!"

Amy's photo still smiled brightly.

After venting, Shae hurried down the hill and saw Alexander.

"Alexander!" She jogged over, out of breath. "I need to talk to you."

By the car, Alexander asked coldly, "What do you want? We have nothing to discuss."

"I need to tell you something you don't know!" Shae said urgently.

Alexander looked confused. "I don't want to know. Don't tell me," he said, opening the car door.

Shae grabbed the door. "No, you have to know!"

"Shae, let go. I've made everything clear. Stop this!" He gently made her let go, then drove away.

"Idiot! You don't even want to know anything. How stupid!" Shae shouted, tears in her eyes.

At a factory gate in the suburbs, Shae impatiently waited until she saw Taylor come out.

"What a dump! Why'd you get a job here?" Shae said, looking around disdainfully.

Taylor snapped, "It's all Alexander's fault! I've been blacklisted by all the Rihegde companies. No one will hire me."

"How'd you land this gig? What are you doing here?" Shae asked.

Taylor replied, "A friend hooked me up. I'm working as his secretary now."

Shae's eyes shifted, thinking about the shady connections but kept quiet.

Taylor smirked, "Don't worry. I won't drag you into our business."

"Good to know," Shae said, realizing Taylor wasn't as simple as she seemed.

"Did you come from the cemetery?" Taylor teased. "Alexander ignored you, didn't he?"

Shae glared. "Are you gloating? Alexander's all about Lillian now, treating her like gold."

Taylor asked, "When are you going to act? If you wait too long, Lillian's baby will be born!"

"It's not urgent. The later, the better," Shae said, warning, "We're in this together. If you mess up, it won't help you either!"

"You're always so unhurried. When she's seven or eight months along, the baby can survive. Why not act now?" Taylor asked maliciously.

"You don't get it. It's complicated," Shae instructed. "Just follow my lead, okay?"

"Fine, I'll follow your lead," Taylor said coldly, not arguing.

After Shae drove off, Taylor muttered, "Do you think I'll just follow you? Ridiculous!"

Back in the factory office, Lloyd Cooper saw her and asked, "Where were you? I couldn't find you."

Taylor smiled, sat on his lap, and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Just getting some fresh air at the gate."

Lloyd pinched her butt. "You're disobedient. Why are you running around?"

Taylor giggled, moving restlessly on his lap, making Lloyd's heart race. He grabbed her chin and kissed her.

"Don't be like this," Taylor said, playing coy. "I have something to tell you."

"Tell me later," Lloyd said, pressing her onto the desk.

At Beatrice's house, the three of them sat in the living room, looking serious.

"Is the news accurate? Lillian's pregnant with twin boys?" Beatrice asked in disbelief.

Blake nodded. "Yes, it's accurate."

Rena's eyes were red with jealousy. "She's so lucky to be pregnant with twin boys on her first try! It's infuriating!"

"What's the use of being angry? You weren't as capable as her! If you had triplets, she'd be the one angry now!" Beatrice scolded irritably.
