Chapter 210 Lillian Shares Her Joy with Her Family

"Twins?" Lillian and Alexander blurted out, totally floored by the doc's news.

"Both boys?" Alexander repeated, still in shock.

The doc, probably used to this kind of reaction, just grinned and nodded, "Yep, the ultrasound shows twin boys."

Lillian stared at the ceiling, thinking, 'No way! Twin boys? This is nuts!'

Alexander, usually Mr. Cool, couldn't hide his excitement. "Are you sure? Can you double-check?"

The doc pointed at the screen, "Look, here's one baby, and here's the other. It's clear as day. Boys."

"Could that be the umbilical cord or a finger?" Alexander's heart was pounding, tears of joy welling up.

The doc reassured him, "Mr. Sinclair, I've been doing this for over twenty years. Trust me, I know what I'm seeing."

Lillian tried to sit up for a better look, but Alexander gently pushed her back down. "Stay put. You can get up soon."

"Mr. Sinclair, these babies are underweight, and their heartbeats are a bit irregular. Was there any sign of a threatened miscarriage before?"

Alexander nodded. "Yeah."

"Go home and rest. Eat more nuts," the doc advised.

Lillian asked, worried, "Will it have any impact?"

The doc comforted her, "Don't stress too much. As long as you catch up on nutrition, the babies will be fine. Just relax."

Alexander helped Lillian clean her belly, then helped her sit up and put on her shoes. She felt a bit surprised and embarrassed by his care.

The doc handed them the ultrasound report, saying, "Have the attending physician take a look."

The attending physician gave similar advice. After leaving the office, they walked slowly.

Alexander walked on the outside, holding her arm protectively.

Lillian looked at him. "Alexander, are you nervous? You're making me nervous too."

It wasn't surprising he was nervous. They thought there was one baby, but it turned out to be two. Anyone would be serious about it.

"Lily, how are you so amazing? I never dreamed you'd give me twins!" Alexander marveled. "Am I too lucky?"

"I feel the same way," Lillian said excitedly. "I thought marrying you was the biggest turning point in my life. But now, twins? I feel like I've hit the jackpot!"

She turned to look at Alexander, who was also looking at her. Their eyes met, and they both saw joy in each other's eyes and smiled.

Back in the car, Alexander buckled her seatbelt and said, "When we get home, you need to rest well. I'll ask Kelly to diversify your diet to catch up on nutrition so the babies can be born healthy."

Lillian grinned, "So, we gotta buy everything in pairs now. When they start walking, you'll hold one, and I'll hold the other. Just thinking about it makes me so happy."

Alexander chuckled, "Double the sweet chaos."

Lillian touched her belly, "Babies, be good in there and get along, okay?"

Alexander drove with one hand and touched her belly with the other, "Hey, little ones, I'm your dad. Be good."

They were both over the moon, taking turns chatting with the babies.

"Should we tell Mom and Grandma the good news?" Lillian suddenly asked.

Alexander thought for a moment, "Let's wait until things are more stable."

"You're right. Better to keep it low-key," Lillian agreed.

They couldn't tell outsiders yet, but family had to know. Lillian had a family group chat ready.

She sent a message: [Good news, everyone! I'm having twin boys.]

Everyone was thrilled. Kelly replied first: [Really? Lillian, you're amazing! What do you want for dinner? I'll make it for you!]

Melvin sent a congratulatory emoji, and Oscar sent an excited voice message.

Back home, the family treated her with extra care, arranging everything she might need within reach.

"Am I just going to lie in bed all the time?" Lillian protested. "I want to go for a walk."

Alexander said, "We'll have Angela come over tomorrow to check on you and see what she says."

Lillian added, "Let's invite Wendy over tonight. She hasn't visited since we got married."

"Whatever makes you happy," Alexander said, blowing on a spoonful of soup and bringing it to her mouth.

"I'm full. I can't drink anymore," Lillian said, turning away.

"Honey, I know you don't want to, but let's just have a little, okay?" Alexander coaxed. "Once the babies are a little bigger, they'll need less frequent feedings."

"Alright, for the babies." Lillian drank a few sips of the soup.

In the afternoon, Alexander worked while Lillian played on her phone in bed. She logged into a forum and saw many replies and private messages since her last visit.

She announced her twin pregnancy on the forum and posted about recent events, uploading a few comic drafts. Feeling accomplished, she then focused on drawing.

In the Sinclair Villa kitchen, Beatrice asked, "Did Lillan take all the medicine?"

"Yes," the servant whispered, showing a small bag. "This much is left."

Beatrice took it and said, "I was rushed this time., the dosage wasn't enough to cause a miscarriage." She sneered. "However, forget it. There will be more opportunities in the future!"
