Chapter 78 You've Fallen for Him, Haven't You?

"Oh! The match is about to begin!" a girl next to them shouted.

The girls looked in the direction of the sound and saw that the field had been divided into two teams. Alexander was on the red team, wearing a red ribbon on his arm, while Blake was on the yellow team.

It was Lillian's first time watching polo, and she found it very fascinating.

Suddenly, Benjamin jogged over while carrying Alexander on his back and sat down in the front row where Lillian was. Lillian looked up at him, wondering why he had suddenly come over.

"Lillian, Alexander wants you to give him something that symbolizes a victorious start!" a girl laughed and told her.

'Do they have this kind of tradition for a polo match?' Lillian wondered.

Lillian looked down and saw that she was wearing a platinum bracelet on her wrist, the same one she had bought together with Kevin when he took her shopping. Lillian took off the bracelet and handed it to Alexander, asking, "Is this bracelet okay?"

Alexander calmly replied to her, "Honey, come and put it on me."

The word "Honey" naturally came out of Alexander's mouth, carrying a sense of indulgence. Lillian walked over and put the bracelet on him.

"Good luck, hubby!" Although they were acting, when Lillian forced herself to say "hubby," her heart trembled with the words.

Alexander smiled at her, bent down, touched her face with his hand, and then turned around and returned to the field.

The other players on the field also received items from their wives or sisters and put them on. Blake didn't come over because Rena didn't come.

The match began!

The sound of horse hooves immediately filled the air, and the dust started to rise. Alexander took the lead, charging towards the white ball, brandishing his mallet like an arrow. Behind him, Blake didn't back down and fiercely chased after him.

The teammates followed closely behind, chasing each other. In the chaos, Alexander bent down perfectly, raised his mallet, waved his hand, and hit the ball towards the goal.

"Wow!" cheers immediately erupted on the field.

Lillian watched attentively, suddenly stood up, and shouted, waving her hands, "Alexander! That's amazing!"

Leah looked at her as if she was looking at a weirdo, then pulled her down and whispered, "Can you please be more composed?"

Lillian also realized that she had lost control. She embarrassedly sat down, feeling much calmer.

On the field, the intense match continued.

Blake relentlessly chased after Alexander, engaging in fierce battles and interceptions. In one desperate effort, he finally shot a goal.

Meanwhile, Alexander remained calm and steadily executed his tactics. With sharp focus and aggressive interceptions, he thwarted all of Blake's attempts and scored three consecutive goals!

"Oh! Go, Red Team!" The spectator cheered.

Time was up, and the Red Team emerged victorious.

Blake rode over on his horse and self-deprecatingly said to Alexander, "Alexander, I still can't match up to your polo skills!"

"Blake, you are not bad!" Alexander said without any modesty.

As the polo match ended, groups of girls in the seating area left in twos and threes.

Leah asked Lillian, "Do you want to go back with me or wait here for Alexander?"

"Well, do you think it would be more appropriate for me to go back with you or wait here for him?" Lillian retorted.

Leah looked at Alexander, who was walking towards the stable, and she said, "Then you wait here."

Under the sunshade, Lillian drank her beverage and waited for Alexander to come out. When she was playing with her phone, someone suddenly sat next to her.

"Lillian, are you waiting for Alexander?" Blake, who had changed his clothes and still smelled of shower gel, asked with a smile.

His smile made Lillian wary. She closed her phone and said, "Yes. Blake, why aren't you going back?"

"I'm tired from playing polo, just taking a break." Blake casually chatted with her, jokingly saying, "Your husband is so impressive. He beat me quite badly."

Lillian chuckled lightly, "I think you played well too. It's just a recreational match. After all, having fun is what matters the most."

"Yes, happiness is the most important thing, and today's polo match was really interesting!" Blake agreed. "By the way, has Alexander mentioned anything about when you guys are having the wedding? Girls usually look forward to weddings, right?"

"About the wedding, I listen to Alexander. I'm someone who dislikes trouble, so the simpler, the better," Lillian muttered to herself, wondering why Blake suddenly brought up the wedding.

"Since Alexander loves you so much, he naturally wouldn't want to make things difficult for you," Blake replied.

"Yes, he is really good to me," Lillian said.

"How did you guys get together?" Blake asked with interest. "You were his secretary at first, and then the office romance happened. Did that cold dude pursue you first?"

Lillian paused for a moment, awkwardly chuckled, and said, "Yes, you could say that he pursued me first."

"That's really rare! I've never heard of Alexander actively pursuing anyone before. You're the first! It seems like Alexander really likes you!" Blake added.

"Oh, really? I like him a lot too," Lillian squeezed her thigh and said stiffly.

"Lily!" Alexander approached them, looking fresh, and asked, "What are you guys talking about?"

"We were just casually chatting," Blake stood up. "Well, I won't bother you guys anymore. I'll leave first."

After watching him ride away on his scooter, Alexander turned to Lillian and asked, "How do you want to go back? Do you still want to go see the animals?"

"Can we go to the beach? I've never seen the ocean before," Lillian said pitifully.

"If you want to see the ocean, we can go to the beach tonight. Some marine creatures emit blue or red light, and you will love it." Alexander suggested.

"Really? Then let's go see it tonight!" Lillian said excitedly.

As they walked back slowly, Lillian said shyly, "I'm so ignorant. I've never even seen the ocean. Will you laugh at me?"

Alexander smiled gently. "Why would I laugh about it? You'll have more opportunities in the future."

Lillian glanced at Alexander sideways and cautiously asked, "Mr. Sinclair, have you noticed that your attitude towards me has been better these past few days? You don't dislike me as much anymore."

"Or is it that you're deeply involved and can't get out?" Lillian asked again.

Alexander smiled. "I think it's that you've gotten too deeply involved and become overly emotional."

"Oh? Is that so?" Lillian felt a bit disappointed.

Alexander pretended to be calm and asked, "It seems like you're expecting something, aren't you?"

"No, I'm not expecting anything!" Lillian shook her head vigorously, denying it as much as possible.

'What the hell was I expecting? Am I expecting him not to hate me? But why would I expect that? You like him, don't you?' A small voice whispered in her ear.

‘Am I falling for him? How could that be?’

Suddenly, Lillian's heart was beating fast. In her mind, scenes of Alexander flashed like a movie. Alexander holding her hand, smiling at her, kissing her, even on a horse. All kinds of scenes intertwined to form one last image of her in his embrace.

'Yes, absolutely! I must have coveted his hug to do this! No, I can't lose control over a hug. I don't like him. I only want the security of his hug!
YES! That must be it!' Lillian thought to herself
