Chapter 251 Blake Is Interrogated

Justin's birthday party ended in the evening. Alexander accompanied Ethan while Samantha saw the guests off at the door.

"Alexander," Ethan said earnestly during a brief pause. "Blake can be a jerk sometimes. He shouldn't have accused you in front of Justin today. Don't hold it against him."

After shaking hands with a departing guest, Alexander replied understandingly, "Dad, Blake is straightforward. I won't hold it against him."

Ethan asked, "Did you notice anything unusual about the parrot cursing Mr. Justin Sinclair? It doesn't seem like something Blake would do."

"I haven't paid attention to that. I should avoid suspicion." Alexander glanced at Ethan and added. "Dad, I understand what you mean, but this matter is extraordinary. Besides, Blake and I have misunderstandings. How can I speak on his behalf?"

Samantha glanced at Ethan and said unhappily, "Don't forget. Alexander is also your son!"

"I don't need you to remind me!" Ethan replied in a steady voice, then nodded to Alexander and said. "You're right. Let Mr. Justin Sinclair handle this matter."

After the guests and relatives had left, the family, except for Blake, sat neatly in the living room.

"Everyone is tired today. Let's discuss any issues tomorrow," Linda said.

Justin, with a serious expression, sat in the center and said, "It will be too late to deal with it tomorrow. Now that there are no outsiders, let's resolve the issues to prevent future troubles!"

Beatrice, sitting there, felt a chill run down her spine and broke into a cold sweat.

"Bring Blake up," Justin said slowly.

Beatrice lowered her eyes and remained unfazed, but her heart was pounding. She wanted to say something but didn't know what. She looked up at Justin and weakly called out, "Dad, Blake..."

"Shut up," Justin interrupted her coldly, staring straight ahead. "You'll have your turn to speak later."

Beatrice had no choice but to keep quiet, planning how to respond later. Samantha remained calm, but she could only feel pleased about Beatrice and Blake's current predicament in her heart.

"Leah, take Lillian back to the room," Justin instructed.

Lillian looked at Justin in confusion, then at Alexander.

"Grandpa, why? Lillian and I are part of this family, too. Why can't we stay here?" Leah asked stubbornly.

Justin patiently explained, "Lillian is pregnant. It's not suitable for her to hear these things. You're still young, and knowing too much isn't good. Go on now."

Lillian vaguely guessed that Justin was referring to something that might involve her and that he was worried she might get upset.

She said, "Grandpa, Leah, and I will go back to the room." She stood up, took Leah's hand, and left.

Blake was soon brought up, standing in the middle like a prisoner, his head hanging low.

"Bastard!" Justin raised his cane and struck Blake's knee heavily.

Blake cried out in pain and knelt on the ground, calling, "Grandpa!"

Justin scolded, "Don't call me. I don't have a grandson as ruthless as you!"

Seeing Justin getting angry, Linda scolded him, "If there's something to discuss, just discuss it. Why do you get angry? Don't you care about your health?" She turned and took the ginseng tea from the table beside her, handing it to him.

Justin took a sip and said to Blake, "Are you going to confess, or should I show you the evidence?"

Beatrice, worried about Blake, got up and knelt beside him in a hurry, saying to Justin, "Dad, Blake is really being wronged about the parrot. He didn't do it. What do you want him to confess?"

Justin, leaning on his cane, asked with interest, "Didn't he do it?"

Blake desperately defended himself, "Grandpa, it really wasn't me! That was a birthday gift for you to make you happy. How could I be so stupid to do such a thing? Someone must be framing me, trying to sow discord between us."

Justin listened seriously, nodded slowly, and then asked, puzzled, "If you didn't do the parrot thing, what about the hospital incident? Explain that to me. Besides, what did you make Cynthia do?"

Justin's slow words sent a chill down Blake's spine. His pupils dilated as he looked at Justin in terror. Beatrice almost collapsed, barely managing to grab Blake's clothes in time.

These were the facts, and their reactions were unsurprising.

Blake's gaze moved from Justin to Alexander, glaring. He quickly recalled the conversation he had with Beatrice in the room earlier. He instantly understood that the evidence Justin mentioned was probably the surveillance video of their conversation.

He laughed at himself inwardly, wondering, 'Where the surveillance is hidden? It is well-concealed.' Even at this moment, he had the mind to think about this.

Seeing Blake not speaking, Beatrice thought he was scared stiff. She urgently said to Justin, "Dad, you have to believe Blake. He really hasn't done anything wrong."

Justin glared at Beatrice, pointing his cane at her and scolding, "Blake turned out this way because of a mother like you!"

Beatrice was stunned. "Dad, what did I do wrong? How much time has Ethan spent with Blake since he was a child? Wasn't it me who raised Blake? I put a lot of effort into it."

Justin turned his head away, not wanting to see her play the victim.

Samantha said, "Beatrice, isn't this all your own doing? Haven't you understood what Dad means? It's easy to have a child, but raising one is hard. You're like a mirror, and Blake has followed your example. What exactly did Blake do? I think you should honestly tell everything and stop making Dad angry."

Beatrice, with a sullen expression, cursed Samantha in her heart and looked pitifully at Ethan.

Ethan received the signal, and was about to plead when Justin's words stopped him.

"Ethan, you don't know about the 'good deeds' they've done, do you? Then shut up and wait for them to explain everything to you," Justin interrupted.

Justin looked at Blake, getting angrier the more he looked, and said furiously, "Tell me, what qualifies you to be the eldest grandson of the Sinclair family? You are malicious, repeatedly taking advantage of people around you to harm Lillian and her unborn child. Tell Ethan all this so he knows what kind of Blake he's been doting on!"
