Chapter 249 Blake's Downfall
The parrot flapped its wings a few times and landed precisely on Blake's shoulder in the crowd.
Everyone present heard what the parrot said and was astonished. The fact that the bird landed on Blake proved who its owner was. People pointed at him and whispered among themselves.
Blake was bewildered and angrily tried to shoo it away, shouting, "Get lost!"
Alexander walked over quickly and met Justin, who was also heading towards Blake.
Seeing Justin, Blake shuddered in fear and hastily explained, "Grandpa, it's not me! I didn't teach it to say that!"
With that, the parrot on his shoulder croaked again, "Old bastard's birthday!"
Justin stepped forward and slapped Blake hard, knocking him to the ground!
Blake wished he could strangle the parrot, but after it finished shouting, it flapped its wings and flew away as if it had completed its mission.
"Grandpa!" Blake crawled over on his knees, hugging Justin's leg, loudly defending himself, "Grandpa, listen to me. I really didn't teach it to say that!"
Justin kicked him away, gritting his teeth in anger. "I'll deal with you after the party! Alexander, take him away to avoid ruining the guests' mood!"
Alexander came over to help Blake up, whispering, "Blake, let's go back first. Don't make a scene here."
Blake lowered his head in a daze. After hearing Alexander's words, he suddenly realized something, turned sharply to look at him, and asked angrily, "Was it you?"
Alexander looked puzzled. "Blake, what are you talking about?"
"Stop pretending!" Blake shouted furiously. "It was you! You did all of this!"
Alexander said sternly, "Blake, Grandpa is here. Don't talk nonsense!"
"It was you! I can't think of any other reason! Alexander, you're so insidious!" Blake stood face to face with him, narrowed, and spoke each word with anger.
Family feuds and half-brothers turning against each other—such scenes were uncommon, and the surrounding onlookers watched with great interest.
Justin signaled to the bodyguards beside him, and two of them came forward, each grabbing one of Blake's arms and taking him away.
Seeing this, Melvin quickly said to the guests, "Everyone, it was just a small episode. I hope it didn't affect your mood. Please continue to enjoy yourselves."
"Grandpa, it's your birthday today. Don't let this ruin your mood," Alexander said.
Justin sneered, patted Alexander on the shoulder, and turned to walk away.
Lillian came over and said softly, "Grandpa must be very upset. Being cursed by his grandson must be hard to bear."
Alexander said, "He's probably more angry than upset about what Blake did."
In the villa, Beatrice was chatting with some relatives when someone suddenly came over and whispered in her ear. Her expression changed dramatically, and she asked in shock, "Are you serious?"
The person nodded. Beatrice's body went limp, almost falling off the sofa.
"Beatrice, what's wrong?" Someone beside her supported her and asked in confusion.
Beatrice stood up shakily and said to the person, "Let's go. Take me to Blake."
The others guessed it had something to do with Blake.
"Blake must have caused some trouble again."
"Although Blake and Alexander have the same father, he can't compare to Alexander. They dream of inheriting the Sinclair family, but it's just wishful thinking."
Samantha came downstairs, overhearing their discussion with a smug smile on her face. She walked over and asked, "I'm late. What are you talking about?"
A guest replied, "Just Beatrice's son Blake causing trouble again. She left in a hurry."
Samantha responded with a puzzled tone, but someone had already reported to her earlier, and she was quite pleased.
Two security guards were stationed at the door on the top floor. Seeing Beatrice, they opened the door for her.
Blake was sitting on the sofa, his head buried in his hands. He looked up in pain to see who had come in.
"Mom." His face was defeated, and he sighed deeply.
Beatrice walked in and urgently asked, "Blake, what happened?"
Blake sat up straight, clenched his fists, and pounded the sofa heavily, saying angrily, "It must be Alexander! He did something to the parrot to frame me!"
"The parrot? What trouble did that parrot cause again?" Beatrice said angrily. "I should have killed it yesterday!"
"That parrot!" Blake said through gritted teeth. "It somehow got out and started shouting, 'Old bastard's birthday!' It can't talk without being taught."
Beatrice was shocked, her body swaying. Although she had been through a lot, she couldn't handle his words, so she asked in a trembling voice, "What? What did the parrot say? We didn't teach it that!"
Blake said, "I was careless. I should never have wanted that parrot in the first place!"
Beatrice took a deep breath to calm herself and asked, "What did Justin say?"
"Justin said he would deal with me after today!" Blake was scared. "Mom, what do you think Justin will do to me? I'm innocent!"
Beatrice sneered. "It doesn't matter anymore. Since Justin believes you taught the parrot to say that, nothing we say will change his mind."
"Then what do we do? Just taking it lying down?" Blake said in a panic. "Mom, find Ethan. Ethan will definitely help us."
"I'm afraid Ethan can't help this time," Beatrice said. "Nico lost her child, and you were at fault first. Justin's anger towards you hasn't subsided. How could Ethan speak up for you?"
Blake was stunned, muttering, "Then what can we do?"
Beatrice sat there thinking for a long time, then looked at Blake and asked, "Is there anything else you're hiding from me? Don't let me be caught off guard again!"
"No... nothing else," Blake said nervously, stuttering.
Beatrice noticed something was off, stared into his eyes, and asked sternly, "I'll ask you one more time. Is there anything else? Speak!"
Blake lowered his head and said weakly, "Yes."
"What is it? Tell me everything honestly!" Beatrice shouted hysterically.
Blake hesitated for a moment and then said softly, "After Oscar was stabbed, I secretly went to the hospital to remove his oxygen mask but failed. Additionally, the incident yesterday, where someone was pushed, was also orchestrated by me through Cynthia."
Beatrice instantly stood up and slapped him hard!
