Chapter 61 Getting Along Well

In the middle of the night, Alexander came back. As he was going upstairs, he noticed that the kitchen lights were still on. Out of curiosity, he went to the kitchen.

At that moment, Oscar was playing on his phone in the kitchen. He couldn't fall asleep because he was fussy about the bed. It was the first time Oscar had stayed in such a luxurious villa, and he wanted to explore it thoroughly. So, he went up and down the stairs, finally settling in the kitchen.

Oscar didn't notice Alexander come in. Alexander stood at the doorway and watched him for a while. Looking at the side profile that resembled Lillian's, Alexander guessed who he was.

"Why are you still sleeping so late?" Alexander suddenly asked.

Oscar was startled and quickly turned around. He found Alexander standing there, dressed casually, tall and handsome, with a distant look in his eyes.

"You must be my brother-in-law. I'm Oscar." Oscar put down his phone, stood up from his chair, and asked nervously.

Alexander looked at his young face, which had a bad complexion. He reminded Oscar, "It's too late. Stop playing with your phone and go to bed."

"Okay, got it," Oscar replied.

Oscar followed Alexander upstairs. Even walking behind him, Oscar could feel a sense of pressure. He thought to himself, 'This must be the aura of a successful person!'

"If there's anything you need, you can talk to Gina or Lillian. I heard you were hospitalized before. Your health is not good. Don't stay up so late," Alexander said expressionlessly and then went back to his room.

Oscar slowly returned to his room. He thought to himself that Alexander would be difficult to get along with as a wealthy person, but he didn't expect Alexander to care about him.

In the morning, Oscar woke up early. Because of his poor health, after being discharged from the hospital, he started learning boxing from his classmates. He insisted on practicing for a while every morning. The yard was large, so Oscar found a nook to start his boxing practice.

Alexander came back from his run and saw Oscar practicing boxing in the yard. He stopped and asked, "Did you start learning a few days ago?"

"Alexander, you're back," Oscar stopped his movements and said a bit awkwardly, "I learned a bit from my classmate before. He said boxing could make me stronger, so I'm trying."

"Alright, great. Keep practicing," Alexander continued jogging and went inside.

After more than half an hour, Oscar went back to his room. He checked the time and thought Lillian might be awake, so he went to her room.

"Good timing. I need to go to the bathroom. Help me up quickly," Lillian said anxiously, frowning.

Oscar couldn't help but laugh as he helped her up, saying, "Lillian, why are you still like this? You're just like when you were a child. As soon as you feel pain, you can't stop screaming."

"Screaming makes the pain go away," Lillian replied, entering the bathroom and closing the door.

The two talking voices woke Luke up in bed. Seeing Oscar, he politely greeted, "Good morning."

"Good morning, Luke," Oscar quite liked Luke, finding him very well-behaved.

Gina knocked on the door and said, "Breakfast is ready."

"Okay," Oscar responded.

After Lillian came out of the bathroom and was helped onto the bed by Oscar, she told him, "You can have breakfast in the kitchen. Don't go to the dining room."

Oscar looked at Lillian in confusion, but he didn't ask her why. He nodded and said, "Shall I bring your breakfast here, and we can eat together?"

"No, you go ahead and eat first." Lillian refused firmly.

Oscar knew that Lillian must have her reasons for refusal, so he left the room with Luke.

Alexander was not in the dining room. Oscar went to the kitchen, where breakfast was already set. Luke sat on the side, having breakfast with him.

"Gina, why isn't Uncle Alexander coming down for breakfast?" Luke asked.

"Mr. Sinclair is making a phone call upstairs. He'll be coming soon." Gina answered.

Oscar asked Luke in a low voice, "Does Lillian never eat with Mr. Sinclair during meals? Does she always come to the kitchen by herself?"

Biting into his muffin, Luke replied, "She doesn't eat with Uncle Alexander. She eats with Kelly in the kitchen. But Kelly has been accompanying Melvin in the hospital recently, so Gina has taken her place."

Oscar pondered while eating. He thought to himself, 'They really don't have any feelings for each other. They don't even eat together or sleep in the same room. They're just a nominal couple. It will be simpler for Lillian to find a boyfriend in the future.'

However, Oscar still felt that Alexander was quite charming! He believed that a successful person like Alexander would always have unique charm in his actions and manners, which deeply attracted him. Oscar even admired him.

Outside the dining room, footsteps could be heard as Alexander came downstairs. Alexander asked, "Where's Luke? Hasn't he woken up yet?"

"Uncle Alexander, I'm in the kitchen. I'm having breakfast with Oscar," Luke shouted.

Alexander replied indifferently, "Well, you two can go ahead."
Alexander wondered, ‘What happened? Why does Luke like Oscar and Lillian so much? They became so close right after Oscar moved in, and they even ate together. The previous Luke, who used to always stick around me, had disappeared.’

Alexander felt a little jealous.

After Oscar finished eating, he prepared breakfast for Lillian and brought it out.

On the way, he greeted Alexander, "Good morning, Alexander. I'm going to bring breakfast to my sister."

"Good morning, Uncle Alexander. I'm going to see Lillian eat," Luke followed Oscar, smiling and saying to Alexander.

Alexander put down his fork and called him, "Luke, come here."

"What is it, Uncle Alexander?"

"Come take your medicine. Also, do you need to change the medicine on your arm today?" Alexander asked with concern.

Luke said, "Uncle Alexander, my arm doesn't hurt today. Can I not take the medicine?"

"No, you can't," Alexander replied with a stern face.

Luke pouted and said, "I know. I'll come take the medicine later."

With two patients at home, the smell of medicine was always lingering lately.

After watching Luke finish taking his medicine, Alexander went to work. He went to Lillian's room and stood at the door, asking her, "Did you ask for leave from Mr. Coleman?"

"I did," Lillian replied.

Looking at the three people in the room, Alexander found it a bit funny and said, "You guys rest well at home. Luke, your arm is injured, but it won't affect your studying. Send me a video of you studying picture books in the afternoon."

"Goodbye, Uncle Alexander," Luke frowned and waved at him, looking unhappy.

"Alexander, take care," Oscar said with a faint smile.

Alexander nodded and glanced at Lillian again. Everyone else had said goodbye except her, which made Alexander feel a bit uneasy.

Lillian looked at him. She sensed Alexander's thoughts and said to him, "Mr. Sinclair, goodbye."

"Goodbye." Alexander heard Lillian's words and felt much better. He closed the door and left.

Lillian found him interesting but also unreasonable. She looked at Oscar, then at Luke, and the three of them burst into laughter.
