Chapter 380 Dinner Party
That day's dinner was lavishly prepared by the chef, featuring high-end ingredients and gourmet dishes. Alexander was in a good mood and invited the servants, including Kelly, to join them. Lillian smiled at him, understanding that this change was for her.
Everyone gathered around the round table. The TV in the living room was on, adding to the lively atmosphere.
Lillian raised her glass and started with a toast. "Today, we are sharing a meal, which makes us a family! Tonight, let’s not hold back. Eat, drink, and enjoy!"
Alexander echoed, "Lily is right, enjoy the food and drinks."
Kevin laughed and said, "Mr. Sinclair, rest assured, I work 24/7 all year round. Tonight, I don't have to drive for you, so I won't hold back!"
"Come on, let's toast!"
William and Henry waved their arms and reached out, mumbling. Their adorable behavior made everyone laugh heartily.
Outside, it was desolate, but inside the villa, it was filled with laughter and joy.
Lillian ate heartily and kept serving food to Kelly. Over the past year, she had received so much love from Kelly that she already considered her family.
After eating, Lillian took the children to the living room so Heather and Patricia could enjoy their meal.
She put on a cartoon for the kids, who were engrossed, their eyes glued to the screen.
She took out her phone and recorded a video of the children, sending it to Linda, Samantha, and Ethan. Linda, being the most attentive, called back immediately and chatted with Justin, entertaining the kids on the phone.
"Grandma, when are you and Grandpa coming back? I miss you," Lillian asked.
Kelly came over with some fruit and greeted Linda warmly.
"We'll be back in a few days. I miss William and Henry so much!" Linda said, her eyes squinting with joy as she looked at the kids in the video.
Ethan laughed as he watched the video of the children.
"What are you laughing at?" Beatrice sat down and looked at the kids on the phone, saying, "They've grown so much!"
"Lillian just sent the video. Look, isn't it fun?" Ethan said, clearly enjoying it.
Beatrice playfully said, "You can enjoy them for now. But when we have our child, you better love our child the most!"
"Of course!" Ethan said seriously, "That's my child. If I don't love my child, who will I love?"
Beatrice smiled arrogantly and asked, "Why hasn't Alexander returned to Aetherland?"
"He said he'd go back in a few days, and Thomas agreed."
Beatrice pouted and said, "Thomas always favors Alexander. When Alexander says he'll go back in a few days, Thomas agrees immediately. But when you say you won't go back, he scolds you harshly! The difference in treatment is so obvious."
She sighed, "It's all my fault for making things difficult for you."
Ethan couldn't bear to see her upset and comforted her, saying, "Why talk about unhappy things? The most important thing now is to marry you. I can't let our child be called a bastard like Blake. I owe Blake a lot, and I can't let this happen to this child."
"But Samantha won't agree to a divorce. What should we do? You can't force her to divorce, can you?"
Ethan rubbed his head helplessly and said, "I have my ways. Don't worry about it."
Blake came over and said, "Dad, Mom, stop talking about depressing things. Whatever it is, we'll deal with it later. Come and have dinner!"
Ethan helped Beatrice to the dining room, saying, "Blake is right. We'll talk about it later."
After the babies fell asleep, Lillian took Lucas to play in the snow in the yard. While they were having fun, someone rang the doorbell.
The sudden sound startled everyone in the night. Lucas clung to Lillian, and they looked outside.
"Caspian?" Lillian asked tentatively.
Inside, Gina ran to open the door, and it was indeed Caspian.
"What brings you here?" Lillian relaxed and asked him.
Caspian was holding a bottle of wine and said, "I was bored at home, so I came to find Alexander."
"Come in, we haven't finished drinking yet."
At midnight, Lillian stood at the dining room door with a bowl, eating cake and looking at the drunken men at the table. She muttered to herself, "How much did they drink?"
She nudged Alexander, "Honey, want some cake?"
Alexander groggily sat up, opened his mouth, and waited to be fed. Lillian laughed and fed him a bite, then said, "Let's go upstairs to sleep."
"I can't stand up," he said, eyes closed, mechanically chewing the cake.
Caspian, lying on the table, mumbled "Evelyn."
Lillian rolled her eyes, put the bowl on the table, and helped Alexander upstairs.
Outside, the snow continued to fall, turning the world into a white wonderland.
As the sun rose, casting an orange glow on the snowy ground, a new day began!
Today, Alexander was in a good mood and had prepared gifts for the whole family.
Caspian, curled up in a single sofa, asked, "Alexander, where's mine?"
"You freeload at my place and still ask for a gift? What will you give me in return?" Alexander asked.
Caspian said, "Didn't I bring that good bottle of wine last night, which you drank?"
"I haven't asked you yet, why did you come to my house yesterday?"
As soon as Alexander finished speaking, the doorbell rang again.
This time, it was Theodore.
"Theodore," Caspian teased, "You didn't come as early as I did. I came last night."
"I wanted to come last night too, but I couldn't get away," Theodore said, taking off his coat and looking around. "No matter which house Alexander moves to, I always feel comfortable. It's much quieter than my place."
Lillian was puzzled, wondering why everyone was coming to Alexander's house.
