Chapter 348 Lillian and Alexander Go to the Ski Resort
Alexander closed his eyes and asked nonchalantly, "Why are you asking this?"
Lillian said, "Nothing. I just want to know what you usually do for fun. Before we got married, did you ever go to the clubs?"
Alexander caught the implication in her words, opened his eyes, turned his face to look at her, and asked, "Who told you something today?"
"No one." Lillian leaned on his shoulder, playing with his fingers, and said softly, "I've never asked about your private life before we got married. I just want to know more about you."
Alexander sneered, "It must have been Angela who said something to you, right? I think you should stop hanging out with her; she's a bad influence!"
"Not at all. Angela is far more knowledgeable than Wendy and me. She shares things we are unaware of, and we learn a great deal from her," Lillian retorted.
"So you came to ask me about my pre-marriage private life?" Alexander sneered, "Let me tell you, I have a cleanliness obsession and have never had any sexual relations with anyone else, before or after marriage. You can rest assured!"
"What about Caspian? Angela said he looks like someone who indulges in his desires!" Lillian asked curiously.
Alexander gave her a sidelong glance. "I've never been to those kinds of clubs. How would I know what he's like? Mrs. Sinclair, you're asking the wrong person!" Then he turned over and pressed down on her, deliberately asking fiercely, "Mrs. Sinclair, you've gotten smarter recently, even trying to get information out of me."
"No, I didn't." Lillian pouted pitifully, wrapped her arms around his neck, and said coquettishly, "I'm also worried about you, afraid you'll go astray."
Alexander smiled helplessly, leaned down, and kissed her lips. "Honey, my body and heart belong to you."
The following weekend, Alexander indulged in a rare lie-in. Upon waking, he groggily reached out for Lillian beside him, only to find a space. "Honey?" he mumbled.
Lillian was already up, sitting at the table opposite, drawing. Hearing him call her, she responded, "Honey, I'm here."
Alexander sat up, yawned, and asked, "Why are you up so early? What are you doing?"
"I haven't told you, have I? I got a job online, drawing comics. I've already signed a contract." Lillian looked up at him, smiling. "I have a job now too."
Alexander got out of bed, walked over to see her work, and asked, "Which company? Is it reliable?"
"It's Imaginarium Ink. It has a good reputation in the industry, so you can rest assured." Lillian tilted her head, looking at the drawing, and said slowly, "Actually, I mainly wanted to find something to do. Now that Henry and William are so young, I can't bear to go out and work all day and then come back. I would miss them." Lillian said.
"The company is fine, so you can continue with it for now. It's your hobby, and you can work from home, which is wonderful," Alexander said, planting a kiss on the top of her head. "I'll take a shower first, then we come down for breakfast."
Yesterday, Jackson and Ainsley came and took Lucas to stay with them for a few days. Feeling lonely, Oscar had invited his roommates over to play today, and they would arrive soon.
Lillian and Alexander rarely had time to themselves, so they planned to go out after eating.
With the arrival of winter, there was little left to enjoy at the amusement park. The outdoor attractions were reduced to the ski slopes and hot springs.
"Honey, let's go skiing," Alexander suggested.
"Okay, I've never skied before. You have to teach me." Lillian said excitedly.
At that moment, Kelly came out of the kitchen and said to Alexander, "Mr. Sinclair, your birthday is this Wednesday. Where are you celebrating this year?"
Lillian nibbled on a muffin, blinking at Kelly as she mouthed the words, "Is his birthday coming up soon?" After getting close to Alexander, she specifically checked his birthday and noted it in her memo. But she had still forgotten.
Kelly smiled and nodded silently.
Alexander looked up at Lillian and said, "It's not too late to know now. You still have a few days to prepare a birthday gift. I'll let it slide this year, but if you forget again next year, I'll be mad!"
Lillian shrank her neck and apologized, "Honey, I'm sorry. I only remembered your birthday is in November, but I forgot the exact day." She then asked flatteringly, "What do you want for your birthday?"
Alexander said, "Anything you give me will be fine."
"Really? In that case, I need to think carefully. I can't give you something too shabby; this is the first time I'm giving you a birthday present, after all," Lillian said earnestly.
After eating, they drove to a ski resort on the outskirts of the city.
After renting all the equipment and gearing up, Lillian stood still like a statue, unable to move.
"Lillian, come on, bend over like this," Alexander shouted and demonstrated.
Lillian's legs slowly moved forward, clumsily like a robot, and she said in a tearful voice, "Honey, I'm scared."
"Don't be afraid. It's okay if you fall." he comforted.
"No way." Lillian saw Alexander ready to go and said, "Honey, you go first. Let me see how cool you look!"
"Okay!" Alexander adjusted his ski goggles and then swooped down like a bird.
"So cool!" Lillian's gaze followed him as he moved, his impeccable form, graceful drift, and flawless execution eliciting admiration and awe; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call him a true professional.
"Honey, you're so cool!" Lillian waved her ski poles, shouting excitedly.
Alexander came back and said to her, "If you're too afraid to try, let's go over there and ride the snow tubes instead. Then I can take you for a couple of laps on the snowmobile."
"Sounds great!"
After changing their gear, they took a large snow tube and headed to the tubing track. This area was noticeably more crowded than the skiing section; the tubing track was long and winding, popular among those who couldn't ski.
Lillian and Alexander were standing in line, laughing and talking when someone suddenly patted Alexander on the shoulder. "Mr. Sinclair, what a coincidence."
It was Jared, with Amy.
"Jared?" Alexander was also quite surprised. He looked at Amy beside him, but she didn't react, not even a smile.
Lillian also looked at her, noticing that the calculating look in her eyes was gone, replaced by a somewhat dazed and innocent expression.
"Jared, I want to play on the snow tube." Amy tugged at his arm, swaying back and forth.
Alexander let them take his place and stood at the end of the line with Lillian, who said with a sigh, "Honey, Amy has changed so much."
