Chapter 95 Confrontation
Blake arrived quickly.
Kelly politely said to him, "Blake, Alexander is in the study upstairs."
Blake smiled and nodded, "Kelly, long time no see! You still look great."
Kelly smiled and led him upstairs.
In the study, Alexander saw Blake and said gracefully, "What brings you here?"
Blake sat opposite him, his expression a mix of hesitation and resentment, making him look strange and unpleasant.
Alexander smiled without urging him, just staring at him, waiting for him to speak first.
"Alexander, you really have some tricks up your sleeve. I admit defeat!" After a while, Blake finally spoke.
Alexander sneered, "I should be the one admitting defeat to you."
"There's no one else here. You don't have to pretend with me!" Blake angrily took out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and took a deep drag.
"Alexander, are you feeling proud seeing me so down and out now?" Blake laughed at himself, "You are really ruthless!"
"If I weren't ruthless, would you still be sitting here talking to me now?" Alexander cut to the chase, "You came from Dad's place, right? Didn't dad forgive you?"
Blake extinguished the cigarette and sincerely said, "Alexander, this time it's my fault. Please forgive me. I promise I won't do such foolish things again. Just forgive me this once."
Alexander shook his head and mocked, "Blake, as far as I remember, this is the first time you've apologized to me."
"This is the first and the last time. I will never let this happen again!" Blake said angrily.
"I look forward to it!" Alexander said with a cold smile.
Blake laughed helplessly, "I must have lost my mind, coming to you for forgiveness after being scolded by dad!"
"Forgiveness isn't the issue between us. You came for something else, didn't you?" Alexander asked mockingly.
Blake snorted, "Why ask when you already know? I just want to know, how did you get dad to come over that day? Who did you bribe on my side?"
"I think you misunderstood. Dad coming over wasn't because I tipped him off. I was tied up by your people at the time. You overestimate me." Alexander asked with a puzzled look, "Didn't your men check on others?"
"Alexander, you won't say, will you? Are you afraid I'll record it and send it to dad?" Blake sighed, "Dad doesn't even want to look at me now."
Alexander sneered at him without speaking.
Blake stood up and threatened him viciously, "Alexander, don't be so smug. One day you'll come begging to me! Just wait and see!"
"Blake, I advise you to go home and cultivate yourself. Rena's belly is getting bigger by the day. You should learn what a father should do, so you won't be flustered when the child is born."
Blake glared at him and stormed out.
In the living room, Lillian and Kelly were playing hide and seek with Lucas. Just as Blake came downstairs, Lucas hugged him.
"Get off!" Blake angrily pushed him away.
Lucas fell to the ground, stunned and obviously scared.
Lillian and Kelly ran over to help Lucas up. She angrily questioned Blake, "Why are you being so rude to a child?"
"None of your business, get lost!" Blake vented his anger on the women and children, pushing Lillian aside forcefully.
"What are you doing? How dare you be violent toward women and children? Are you even a man?" Lillian was furious.
"Blake, what are you doing?" Kelly asked unhappily.
Blake pointed at them, "All of you get off. You're in no position to question me!"
"Can I?" On the stairs, Alexander asked coldly.
"Alexander, he pushed me and Lillian!" Lucas came over pitifully, tears of grievance falling.
Alexander walked up to him, his eyes cold, and said calmly, "Our business is between us. You push my wife and child. Who are you humiliating?"
Blake didn't back down, "So what? Are you worried? I pushed them!" He said, raising his arm to push Lillian again.
Alexander quickly grabbed his arm, stopping him, "Blake, this is not the place for your antics!"
Blake forcefully pulled his arm back, biting his lower lip viciously, and stormed out.
"Uncle Alexander, Uncle Blake is so scary." Lucas said fearfully.
Lillian came over to hug him, comforting him, "It's okay. Don't be afraid. Alexander is here to protect you."
"Okay." Lucas hugged her neck, rubbing his face against her shoulder.
Alexander looked at her and asked, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I was just pushed." Lillian said nonchalantly.
Alexander said to Kelly, "It's late. You should rest."
Then he said to her, "You should come up and sleep soon." He then carried Lucas upstairs.
"Lillian, hurry up." Lucas called out pitifully.
Lillian had planned to sleep alone tonight and chat with her forum friends, but seeing Lucas scared, she had to go upstairs. She went to her room, washed up, changed into pajamas, and took her phone upstairs.
She lay beside Lucas, comforting him, "Sleep. Alexander and I are here to protect you. Don't be afraid."
"Okay." Lucas closed his eyes and murmured, "It's so good to have you. I love you."
He fell asleep. Lillian covered him with a blanket, saying to Alexander, "Thank you for today."
"Why thank me?" Alexander said smilingly, "I'm just returning the favor."
"But I still want to thank you, especially for what happened just now."
Alexander didn't speak for a while, then turned over and said calmly, "It's late."
Lillian also turned over, still thinking about chatting with her forum friends. She quietly took out her phone from under the pillow, turned the brightness to the lowest, and opened the forum.
The forum always made a cheerful sound when opened, making people feel happy.
In the dark, the sound from the forum on her phone echoed loudly in the room, waking up Alexander.
Lillian was so scared she grinned, fumbling to turn off her phone.
"Lillian! No playing with your phone. Sleep!" Alexander angrily scolded.
