Chapter 433 Always Carrying You

Golden Park was in the south of the city, about an hour's drive away.

When Wendy and Caspian arrived, the park was already packed with people. At the foot of the mountain, there were long lines in front of the food stalls. There were also vendors selling hiking sticks and accessories.

"Wendy, do you want to eat first or buy a hiking stick?" Caspian asked, holding her hand.

Wendy's stomach was already growling. She said, "Let's get some food first, I'm hungry."

Wendy ate some delicious food, and Caspian bought her a hiking stick and a bracelet.

Wendy raised her wrist to look at the bracelet and said with a smile, "I haven't worn a bracelet since I started working."

"Let's go, up the mountain." Caspian held her hand and headed up the mountain.

The scenery in Golden Park was quite nice.

The air was fresh and pleasant on the morning after the rain. Wendy took a deep breath and said, "The air is so good!"

There were many people climbing the mountain, all walking up slowly. On both sides, there were people selling mosquito repellent. Caspian bought some and occasionally sprayed it around Wendy.

Wendy and Caspian chatted and laughed up the mountain. The mountain wasn't very high, and they didn't feel particularly tired when they reached the top. The sun had already risen, and the red light shone on her face, making her look radiant.

Caspian looked at her affectionately, with a doting smile on his lips. He walked behind her and gently wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Wendy..." he whispered in her ear.

Wendy held his hands, feeling a bit shy, and turned her head slightly, "What?"

Caspian chuckled, looked at the distant view, and said, "Nothing, I just wanted to hold you."

"Just a quick hold is fine. There are so many people on the mountain, I feel a bit embarrassed." Wendy said, looking around.

There were quite a few couples on the mountain top, some taking selfies, some hugging each other, all looking very relaxed and not at all shy.

She looked down and reflected, wondering if she was being too conservative and a bit pretentious.

Caspian, hearing her words, hugged her and then let go.

"Did I ruin the mood by saying that?" Wendy asked.

"No. I respect your feelings. If you don't like it, I won't do it. We can hug at home too."

Seeing her deep in thought, Caspian comforted her, "Don't overthink it. Everything should be done step by step. You're someone who takes time to develop feelings, and I understand that."

Wendy whispered, "Actually, when you hold me and kiss me, I feel very nervous, but also very happy inside."

Caspian smiled and couldn't help but hold her in his arms again.

After enjoying the view from the top, Wendy and Caspian went down the mountain.

It was already past seven, and the food Wendy had eaten earlier had long been digested.

"My stomach is growling again, did you hear it?" Wendy asked mysteriously.

Caspian asked, "Hungry again? Do you have the strength to go down the mountain?"

"I can make it to the bottom."

"Don't push yourself." Caspian took out some pieces of chocolate from his pocket and handed them to her, saying, "Have some chocolate."

Then, Caspian squatted in front of her and said, "I'll carry you down the mountain."

"That's not necessary!"

"I want to carry you, okay?"

"Okay!" Wendy laughed and climbed onto his back, one hand around his neck and the other eating chocolate.

"Am I heavy?" she asked.

Caspian replied seriously, "Very heavy, I can barely carry you."

Wendy playfully hit Caspian's shoulder with her fist and said, "I'm not that heavy! You're lying!"

Caspian carried her slowly down the mountain. After Wendy finished the chocolate, she wrapped both arms around his neck, her whole body leaning on him.

"Caspian, will you carry me like this until we die?" she asked in his ear.

Caspian said, "Sure, no problem. When I'm old and can't carry you, I'll hire two people to hold you up behind me."

Wendy imagined the scene and laughed, "That would be so uncomfortable for me."

Caspian probably imagined the scene too and couldn't help but laugh.

"You're just trying to make me happy."

"Let me put it another way," he said after thinking for a moment. "I'll carry you until I can't anymore. How about that?"

Wendy frowned and said, "Why does that sound like I'm paralyzed?"

Caspian chuckled.

At the bottom of the mountain, Caspian bought some food, and they drove home.

At home, Patrick was exercising in the yard. Seeing Wendy and Caspian return, he smiled and asked Wendy, "Were there a lot of people on the mountain?"

"Quite a few. Dad, I bought some food. Is Mom up?"

"She's up. She's on the phone with Aurora. We'll go over after breakfast."

After a simple breakfast, the three of them set off for Aurora's house.

"Is there a supermarket in Blossom Creek District? I need to buy some things," Jessica asked Caspian after getting in the car.

"There are two supermarkets. I'll go in with you," he said, starting the car.

The traffic was heavy that day, and it was already noon when they arrived at the supermarket. Caspian accompanied Jessica to buy things for Aurora, while Wendy and Patrick stayed in the car with the air conditioning on.

Jessica moved quickly. Led by Caspian, she went straight to the gift section, picked out two boxes of nutritional supplements, and then bought some high-end packaged fruits in the fruit section. They hurried to the checkout and left.

Back on the road, Jessica's phone kept receiving Facebook messages from Aurora, asking where they were.

[Jessica, our whole family is waiting for you at the entrance of the community. You'll see us as soon as you arrive.]

Wendy listened to the voice message and said in surprise, "No way does Aurora need to be that formal!"
