Chapter 253 Blake's Fate

Alexander left first to avoid disturbing them.

In the living room, only the three of them remained, free to speak without reservations. Blake said angrily, "Dad, this is all Alexander's scheme against me. You can't ignore me and Beatrice!"

Ethan, furious, raised his hand and gave Blake a loud slap, turning Blake's head to the side. Ethan pointed at him and cursed, "If you hadn't done those things, who would scheme against you? Isn't it because you're ruthless and disregarded your relationship that this happened? Do you want Alexander to lose his child? This time, you've crossed our bottom line!"

"Ethan, can you be so heartless as to cut ties with us? After more than twenty years together, are you going to abandon us over this? Is our bond going to be severed?" Beatrice asked, heartbroken, looking at Ethan sincerely.

Beatrice wasn't acting; she truly couldn't bear to lose Ethan. She thought, 'How could a relationship of over twenty years be cut off just like that? Besides, he has been so good to me, much better than he has been to Samantha. I genuinely had deep feelings for him.'

Ethan felt the same way. He thought, 'I had liked her since we were young, always keeping her outside, feeling deeply guilty towards them. In recent years, I have been thinking about marrying her. I truly have deep feelings for her.'

"Beatrice, do you think I want to leave you?" Ethan asked painfully. "Blake's mistake this time is unforgivable. Justin can't tolerate you anymore!"

He angrily hit Blake's head again, saying furiously and helplessly, "You can't compare to Alexander. I told you, but you didn't like hearing it. Now, look at the big trouble you've caused!"

Blake, now deflated, nodded repeatedly and said, "Dad, you're right. I'm no match for Alexander. Dad, please beg Grandpa not to kick us out of Rihegde!"

Beatrice cried and said, "Ethan, I don't ask for your forgiveness for Blake. The Sinclair family doesn't have to acknowledge Blake. Please consider our many years together. I've been with you for so long and gave you Blake. Although Blake isn't very capable, he's still your son. I can't accept leaving like this!"

She covered her mouth, crying, then hugged him and said sincerely, "Ethan, I don't want to leave you. How will I live without you? This is pushing me to my death!"

Beatrice became more and more emotional, crying even more sadly. Suddenly, she clutched her chest and slowly collapsed.

Ethan quickly supported her, asking nervously, "Beatrice, what's wrong?"

Beatrice weakly said, "It's nothing, just a bit emotional. My heart doesn't feel well, and my blood pressure is up again."

Ethan helped her lie down on the sofa and asked Blake to get a glass of water.

"Beatrice." Ethan didn't know what to say.

Beatrice held his hand and said understandingly, "Ethan, you don't need to say anything. I know you're in a difficult position and see your reluctance towards me and your disappointment in Blake. I wish you could come with us, but I know it's not realistic."

Blake brought the water, and Beatrice took a sip, then continued slowly, "Blake and I don't have to stay in Rihegde. It's because you're here. Ethan, I've been with you for so many years, and I have no regrets. However, I don't want to grow old, unable to see you I've been with for a lifetime. I can't accept losing you like this."

Ethan was deeply moved by her words and replied, "Beatrice, I feel so guilty towards you."

Beatrice smiled and shook her head gently, saying, "Ethan, don't say that. Blake and I have wronged you."

Ethan, still deeply in love with Beatrice, was moved by her words and promise. He said, "Beatrice, you're right. Although we don't leave Rihegde, I can't let you have nothing."

Beatrice said, "I want what I deserve."

"Beatrice, I've completely given up on Blake. It's as if I don't have this son. However, with our many years of relationship, how can I let you live a hard life?" Ethan said. "I don't want to discuss right or wrong anymore. I'll fight for what you deserve. Go back to your room and rest. I'll talk to Justin later."

Beatrice returned to her room, and Blake followed Ethan out, weakly asking, "Dad, have you given up on me?"

"This might be good for you." Ethan sighed, patting his shoulder. "Take good care of your mom."

Ethan turned and left. Blake stood there, watching Ethan's no longer strong and vigorous figure, feeling no remorse but instead a surge of infinite hatred!

He clenched his fists tightly, his eyes filled with hatred, and silently said to himself, 'Everything in the Sinclair family will be mine in the future!'

Alexander returned to the room and saw Lillian sleeping. He slowly got into bed and lay down beside her.

Lillian wasn't fully asleep. When he lay down, she immediately woke up, sleepily looking back at him and asking, "All done?"

"All done," Alexander turned over, hugged her from behind, and placed his hand gently on her belly, saying tiredly. "For now, there's nothing more."

Lillian slightly turned her head, saying with concern, "Honey, you've been working hard lately. Wash up and then sleep. You can have a good night's sleep tonight."

"I know," Alexander mumbled but didn't move.

After a while, she urged him again, "Honey, don't fall asleep. Wash up."

Snoring came from behind; Alexander had fallen asleep.

Lillian knew he was exhausted, so she didn't push him further and let him continue sleeping. She lay flat, his hand still on her belly, and she gently covered it with her own.

Time passed slowly. Suddenly, Alexander's body jerked, and he shouted, "Lily, watch out! Come over here! Hurry!"

Lillian, who hadn't fallen back asleep due to his snoring, was startled by his sudden shout. She turned to look at him as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Honey, did you have a nightmare?" she asked softly.

Alexander woke up, saw Lillian right in front of him, and breathed a sigh of relief, saying, "Yes, I had a bad dream."

"You shouted for me to be careful. What did you dream about?" Lillian asked curiously.

He said, "I dreamed you were standing at the edge of a cliff, about to fall. I called you over, but you wouldn't listen," He joked. "Even in my dreams, you don't listen to me."
