Chapter 379 Posting a New Feed
Emily giggled as she handed over the gift box she was carrying and said, "Lillian, this is something Michael brought back from abroad. He asked me to bring it over for you."
Lillian took it and thanked her, "Emily, thank you so much."
"Where's Oscar?" Emily asked.
On the third-floor balcony, Oscar leaned over the railing and looked down, "I'm here."
Hearing his voice, Emily quickly looked up. The moment she saw him, she smiled and waved her hand enthusiastically, shouting, "Oscar!"
Lillian noticed the sparkle in Emily's eyes and then turned to look at the calm Oscar on the balcony. She couldn't help but feel how great it was to be young, but she also felt a bit sorry for Emily.
"Emily's here, why don't you come down?" Lillian asked.
Before Oscar could respond, Emily quickly said, "Lillian, I have to go now. Michael and I are heading back to Sinclair Villa."
"I see. Well, come visit when you have time."
Emily seemed to be waiting for this and quickly responded with a smile, "Sure!"
After seeing Emily off, Lucas was shoveling snow and said to Lillian, "Lillian, if Oscar doesn't like her, why does she keep coming over?"
"You little kid, what do you know!" Lillian laughed, "Come on, let's go inside."
Alexander had been busy for a long time and only recently had a few days to rest. He woke up on his own, wearing loungewear, and lazily came downstairs.
"Honey, come here!" Lillian called out to him with a smile, "Quick, let's take a photo."
Seeing her so happy, Alexander couldn't help but smile too, "Honey, why are we taking a photo so early in the morning?"
"Everyone on New Feed is posting family photos, I want one too!" she said, handing the phone to Heather.
Alexander and Lillian held their child, with Lucas standing behind them. The family of five smiled as the camera clicked.
Kelly came out of the kitchen and said, "Breakfast is ready."
Lillian handed the baby to Heather and started editing the caption: "[Wishing my three children healthy growth; may Alexander have smooth sailing and always smile; may I always be beautiful and successful!]
After breakfast, Lillian and Alexander played with the baby for a while before going back to their room to relax and play on their phones.
"Not having to spend this holiday in Aetherland is such a relief," Alexander said, lying on the bed. "Not having to meet so many people and put on a facade is comfortable."
Lillian agreed, "Yes. Last Christmas when I went back with you, I was so overwhelmed. It took a long time just to recognize everyone. The Sinclair family is huge!"
As she spoke, she opened New Feed. At the bottom, there were many notifications, which surprised her. When did she get so much attention? It was unexpected.
"Lillian, happy holidays!" Shirley was the first to reply.
Following that were at least thirty more replies, all saying, "Happy holidays."
Lillian laughed and continued scrolling.
"Lillian, is your husband the CEO of the Whale Group?"
"Lillian, when are you having the wedding? Don't forget to tell me!"
"Lillian, I didn't expect you to be so happy now. Let's have tea sometime."
These were all classmates and friends she didn't often contact. Now they were all reaching out.
Last year in Aetherland, she had posted some scenic photos but had blocked many people. This year was different; she had cute babies and an excellent husband. Who wouldn't want to show off and satisfy their vanity?
Someone else asked, "Lillian, is your first son already this big?"
"Lillian, where do you live now?"
In short, there were more questions than blessings and more comments than likes.
"Honey, look." Lillian held her phone up to Alexander's face and nudged him.
He opened his eyes, looked at the screen full of text, and asked, "What is it?"
He took the phone, glanced through it, and smiled.
Suddenly, his gaze fell on Leo's name, and he asked unhappily, "Are you still in touch with him?"
"Who?" Lillian asked, seeing Leo's name.
Lillian said, "We haven't been in touch for a long time."
Since she saw Debra in the hospital last year, she hadn't seen Leo again. They hadn't contacted each other on Facebook either. It was as if he had disappeared.
Alexander smiled with satisfaction and scrolled up, seeing Michael's simple comment, "Happy holidays," which also made him feel a twinge of jealousy.
"Why do you only reply to this Roberts guy and not anyone else?" he asked unhappily.
Lillian patiently explained, "Emily came over this morning and brought us a gift. What's wrong with me replying?"
She added, puzzled, "I mean, your jealousy is unfounded. I've never had any feelings for Michael, nor have I had any intimate interactions with him. Why are you so wary of him? Are you afraid I'll get involved with him? What are you suspecting?"
Alexander snorted, "He's not that simple. Back then, the way he looked at you was quite unusual!"
Lillian found his words laughable, "I didn't have much interaction with him back then. If there was any different emotion in his eyes, it was because he wanted to recruit me. When he hinted at it later, I firmly rejected him on the spot! What do you take me for?"
"I didn't know that! You never said anything back then."
"How could I dare? Even without telling you, you kept finding faults. If I had told you, you would have kicked me out." Lillian said sarcastically.
"After Michael found out we were married, he never caused any trouble again. Our interactions have been normal. It's just you overthinking things."
Alexander pouted and muttered, "I still feel unhappy about that picnic in the countryside."
"You hold grudges!" Lillian laughed.
Suddenly, Alexander flipped over and pinned her down, startling Lillian, "What are you doing?"
"Do you think I shouldn't hold a grudge when another man covets you?" he asked in a deep, slightly hoarse voice.
Lillian's heart skipped a beat!
"Mr. Sinclair, that's not what I meant!" Lillian's hands softly wrapped around his neck, cooperating with him, and she said with a charming smile, "If you didn't hold a grudge, I wouldn't be happy!"
