Chapter 247 Blake Blames Rena's Miscarriage on Lillian

Samantha and Beatrice rushed to the hospital after receiving the news at home. Nico had already been wheeled into the ward, and Blake sat beside her with a grim expression.

The two entered the ward, and Beatrice asked anxiously, "Did she really lose the baby? She was seven months along. Couldn't it have been saved? Put it in an incubator!"

Nico lay on the bed crying, and Blake said in a low voice, "The doctor just told me it couldn't be saved. I don't know!"

Samantha came over to comfort Nico, saying, "Don't be sad. Take care of your health, and you can get pregnant again in the future."

Nico glared at Samantha resentfully and said in a hoarse voice, "Samantha, it's easy for you to say! That's because it wasn't Lillian who had a miscarriage! It was her who pushed me!"

"What? Did Lillian push you?" Beatrice turned to ask, her eyes then looking at Samantha.

Nico cried out. "Yes! It was Lillian who pushed me, so I fell!"

"Samantha, what does Lillian mean by this? Does she find Nico's pregnancy an eyesore?" With no outsiders present, Beatrice no longer maintained her usual politeness and humility and questioned Samantha harshly.

Samantha replied, "Lillian is kind-hearted. How could she push Nico for no reason? Don't make baseless accusations. There must be some hidden truth here. Let's wait until we check the home surveillance before we talk!"

"They were looking at a parrot. What hidden truth could there be?" Beatrice was furious. "There is no need to defend her. No matter what, she pushed Nico, and she couldn't escape responsibility! When we get home, I will definitely demand an explanation from Justin and Linda!"

Samantha didn't argue with her and said, "Fine, we have a clear conscience and aren't afraid of what you might say." With that, she turned and left.

Beatrice sat angrily in the chair, glaring at Nico, and scolded, "You're really something. Instead of making Lillian miscarry, you ended up miscarrying yourself!"

"Mom, what does this have to do with me? I lost my baby, and I'm already heartbroken!" Nico cried again, shouting at Beatrice.

"Blake! What's with that parrot? Why did it bite someone out of the blue? Who pushed Lillian? What the hell is going on?" Beatrice was now very confused and asked in a fit of rage.

Blake and Nico had kept their actions from her. If she knew that all of this was Blake's plan, she would probably be even more furious!

"Mom, stop shouting." Blake was also irritated. "You should go home. There's nothing much here. Nico needs to stay in the hospital for several days."

Beatrice was also angry at them now. She stood up unhappily and said, "Fine, you stay here. I'm going home. I want to see what exactly happened! Although it was unintentional, I won't let it go!"

After sending Beatrice away, Blake returned to the ward and blamed Nico, "How could you be so stupid? Knowing someone was going to push her, why didn't you stay away? Why were you still next to her?"

Nico said, "And you're blaming me? If it weren't for your idea, would we have lost our baby? I told you not to act at Sinclair Villa, but you wouldn't listen. Once the home surveillance is checked and Cynthia reveals the truth, we're all done for!"

"Stop lecturing me! Do you think I'm as foolish as you?" Blake sneered. "Do you think I'd be stupid enough to wait to be discovered?"

Nico looked at him, puzzled. "How did you handle it?"

Blake glared at her fiercely, sat on the sofa, and ignored her.

Samantha and Beatrice had returned to the Sinclair Villa.

"How's Nico?" Linda asked with concern.

Beatrice's eyes reddened, and tears fell as she grabbed Linda's hand and cried. "Mom, the baby couldn't be saved. You have to stand up for us!"

"What do you mean by that? Her baby is gone, and is there still any hidden truth?" Justin asked sternly.

Beatrice cried in grievance. "Dad, Lillian pushed Nico, who fell."

Ethan spoke up, "Beatrice, we just checked the surveillance. Lillian didn't intentionally push Nico. Someone behind Lillian pushed her, causing her to lose control and fall onto Nico."

Beatrice asked angrily, "Who pushed her?"

Ethan replied, "From the surveillance, it was Cynthia. She was trying to save Laura and accidentally pushed Lillian into the chaos."

Beatrice shouted harshly, "Call Cynthia here. I want to ask her face-to-face!"

Justin watched her crazed state coldly, and Linda frowned, saying, "Cynthia knew she was in trouble and was so scared that she had a heart attack and died."

"What?" Beatrice exclaimed in disbelief.

Ethan tried to calm her, "Beatrice, don't get agitated. Go back to your room first."

Seeing Justin and Linda's displeased expression, Beatrice wisely said, "Dad, Mom, I'll go back to my room first."

Samantha asked Linda, "Mom, is Lillian okay?"

"She was a bit frightened, but her baby is fine. Alexander is with her." Linda closed her eyes and said. "This matter is too strange."

Justin said nothing and went upstairs with his hands behind his back. Linda watched and sighed, saying to Samantha, "Help me back to my room."

Samantha went to Alexander's room, holding a bowl of soup, and handed it to Lillian, saying, "I asked the kitchen to make this for you. Drink it."

"Mom, is Nico's baby okay?" Lillian asked nervously.

Samantha replied, "She had a miscarriage. Don't worry about others. It's good that your baby is fine. Everyone knows you didn't do it on purpose and would not blame you. Don't feel guilty. This matter isn't as simple as it seems, understand?"

Lillian nodded obediently and said, "I understand."

Samantha told Alexander, "Go check on your grandpa in the study later."

Lillian replied, "Okay, Mom. Although you didn't say, I would have gone."

After Samantha left, Lillian sipped the soup and said to Alexander, "Honey, I'm not overly sympathetic, but I still feel bad about this. Nico was about to give birth, and now she had a miscarriage. She must be heartbroken."

"With parents and a grandmother like hers, losing the baby is probably a blessing for the child," Alexander said bluntly, comforting her. "Mom is right. Don't feel guilty. It has nothing to do with you."

After comforting Lillian to lie down, Alexander went to the study.

Seeing him come in, he smiled and said meaningfully, "Alexander, you can't be too soft-hearted. Sometimes, when certain people need to be dealt with, you have to be ruthless and eliminate them!"
