Chapter 242 Caspian Goes Crazy
Theodore and Jackson held him back, urging, "Caspian, don't be impulsive!"
"Evelyn, you're blind. You found a scumbag. Don't say I didn't warn you now; he's just taking advantages of you. Do you really think anyone else would be as devoted to you as I am without any ulterior motives? With your bad temper, who could tolerate you? Break up with him early, so you don't get cheated, and come crying to us later!" Caspian angrily spoke his mind.
Although it was heartfelt, who could listen to such harsh words? Especially Evelyn.
"Do you think you're the only smart one?" Evelyn was furious. "I can date whoever I want. Although I like being cheated, what's it to you? Caspian, I hate you. Please don't act like you're so good to me. You can't even talk to me properly. Stop pretending to be so deep in love."
"Evelyn, you're an idiot!" Caspian shouted angrily, "When I spoke to you nicely, you forgot! You will never remember my kindness. You're just a blind idiot!"
"Don't call me an idiot again!" Evelyn threatened to rush over and fight him. "You're the idiot!"
Seeing this, Amos held Evelyn back. Wendy, observing the commotion, saw that Evelyn was genuinely angry and irrational. Fearing she might actually fight Caspian, Wendy stepped in to hold her back.
Wendy quietly advised, "Ms. Phillips, don't be angry. Mr. Wade is just speaking out of anger."
"Wendy, don't work for this idiot boss anymore. Come over. I'll find you a new job!" Caspian shouted at Wendy.
Wendy looked at Caspian in confusion, thinking, 'Why involve me into this? It's better to leave now.'
"Come back!" Caspian yelled at her again, striding over and pulling her into his arms.
He said to Evelyn, "Evelyn, don't be so self-righteous. I have a girlfriend! Isn't it a race? I'm getting married to Wendy at the beginning of next month!"
Wendy was stunned. She looked at Caspian and shouted, "What nonsense are you talking about?"
"I'm not talking nonsense! No, there are only two days left until next month—not enough time. I am getting married to Wendy at the end of next month! I can survive without you!" Caspian shouted at Evelyn in a fit of rage as if to get back at her.
Alexander walked over with a stern face and scolded, "Caspian, stop it. Let go of Wendy."
Evelyn found Caspian unreasonable and said to Alexander, "Amos and I are leaving."
Alexander looked at the injury on Amos's face and said to the two of them, "I'm sorry you didn't have a good time and even got hurt. Go to the hospital to treat the wound."
Evelyn left with Amos. Wendy tried to get out of Caspian's arms, but he still held her tightly. She looked up at him angrily, but his gaze followed Evelyn all the way.
She was speechless for a moment, thinking to herself, 'Ingoring Caspian's character, he really is devoted.'
Alexander came over and freed Wendy, then said to Caspian, "What's wrong with you? Why did you fight?"
Caspian withdrew his gaze and cursed, "Don't ask. All I'll say is, Evelyn is an idiot!"
Tonight, he was really furious, swearing repeatedly. However, he was even angrier at Evelyn for choosing a boyfriend who was a scumbag and two-faced. How could he not be furious that she settled for someone inferior to him?
Alexander remarked, "Evelyn is gone. Stop cursing. Come out and continue having fun."
Caspian exhaled, looked at Wendy, and said, "Wendy, I wasn't joking earlier. We're getting married at the end of next month. When we get back from the resort, I'll visit your parents."
"Caspian, are you crazy? If you're going mad, don't drag me into it!" Wendy was really angry, thinking, 'Why is he fixated on me?'
Alexander said, displeased, "Caspian, don't be so reckless."
"Mr. Wade, did you ask Wendy? Does she like you? If you really need a woman to anger Evelyn, find someone else. I'm sure there are plenty of willing women out there. Don't disturb Wendy. Wendy is a good girl and can't play this kind of childish game with you." Angela said seriously and sternly to Caspian.
"Who do you think you are to lecture me?" Caspian said angrily.
Theodore remarked, "Caspian, you've had too much to drink. Angela is Lillian's friend. Be polite."
Jackson also said, "Caspian, Dr. Turner is my family doctor. Don't be too rude."
Caspian looked around, sneering. "All of you are here to lecture me. You're all so great!"
Seeing the situation, Alexander realized that Caspian's outburst had ruined everyone's appetite. He checked the time and said, "Let's call it a night. We'll continue tomorrow. Everyone, go back to your rooms to rest."
He then said to Theodore, "Keep an eye on him tonight. Help him back first."
In the yard, Emily was a bit surprised and said, "Is Mr. Wade drunk? In my impression, he's always been quite gentle and refined."
Oscar replied, "Maybe he was really provoked today."
The servants started cleaning up, and one of them said to Lillian, "Mrs. Sinclair, Mr. Sinclair asked for you inside."
Lillian and the others went back inside. At this time, only Wendy and Angela were left in the living room.
Alexander said to Oscar, "Tonight, you should sleep with Melvin."
He then looked at Emily and said, "The guest room faces north and has trees. When the wind picks up at night, there will be noise. I'm afraid you'll be scared, so I've arranged for you to share a room with Kelly. Is that okay?"
"That's fine, I like Kelly." Emily appreciated Alexander's thoughtfulness, as sleeping in a unfamiliar place made her a bit anxious.
Lillian sat on the sofa and asked, "What happened just now?"
Angela said speechlessly, "I think Caspian is just a madman! If he's at any future gatherings, Wendy and I won't be attending."
"How did it involve you two?" Lillian asked curiously.
Wendy and Angela recounted what had happened, and Lillian was equally speechless after hearing it.
"Getting married to you at the end of next month? Where does he get such confidence? Did he ask for our opinion? Wendy doesn't even like him, and does he want to marry her?" Lillian was very angry.
'Caspian is too much, treating my friend like that and speaking without any consideration,' Lillian thought.
"Lillian, don't be angry. I think he was just so mad he didn't know what he was saying. He'll probably forget it by tomorrow morning. I'm fine," Wendy comforted her.
"Although it's out of anger, it's not okay!" Lillian said unhappily. "How can he speak recklessly just because he's mad? Treating you like a tool, how shameless can he be!"
