Chapter 108 Comprehensive Strike

Clara balled up her fists, but her face stayed pretty much the same. She had to play it cute for the camera, looking all sad and stuff. "Alright, I lost. I'll do the jumps."

She squatted down, put her hands behind her head, and started hopping around like a bunny.

It looked totally ridiculous, nothing like the usual Clara. The internet was having a field day, laughing at her.

After 20 jumps, Clara was sweating, her cheeks flushed, and her hair was a mess. She looked like a hot mess.

Clara wanted to challenge Diana again, but Diana had already ended the live stream. She was standing by the door, arms crossed, staring right at Clara.

Feeling the heat from Diana's gaze, Clara quickly said goodbye to the camera and ended the stream.

Once the stream was off, Diana finally spoke up, "So, you lost. Stay out of Spencer Group's business."

Clara was fuming, hating herself for falling into this trap. "It was just a game! You can't be serious!"

Diana once again underestimated her shamelessness, her brows furrowing tightly. "A game? If you had won and fired Calliope, would her future be just a game to you?"

Clara knew she was in the wrong, but since it was just the two of them, she naturally had to argue a bit more.

Otherwise, given Diana's personality, she'd be out the door in a second.

"Diana, do you have to be so harsh? Can't we just call it even? I won't fire Calliope, and we stay out of each other's way."

"Are you kidding me?" Diana sneered, her eyes cold. "I don't have time for this. Go tell Charles you want out. You started this, you set the stakes, and now you want to back out? Too late."

Clara, furious, knocked over the streaming equipment. "Diana, who do you think you are? I'm Mr. Percy's employee!"

The equipment crashed to the ground.

Outside, everyone was on edge.

Diana's team worried Clara might lash out at Diana.

Meanwhile, Clara's team, having lost, looked defeated.

If Diana wanted them gone, no one could stop her.

Seeing Clara lose it, Diana stayed calm. "You broke company property. Pay up."

Clara's red nails dug into her palms, her face defiant. "Diana, if you want me gone, get Mr. Percy to fire me himself!"

Diana's temper flared. She couldn't ask Charles to fire Clara. Clara was here to keep an eye on her from the start.

Diana had always allowed their team to operate freely, never standing in their way.

But now, it seemed she had been too nice. Clara didn't want to keep her promise and still wanted to stay.

Diana thought about it and smiled wickedly. "Since you don't want to leave, get ready for what's next."

"What is it?" Clara asked, wary.

But Diana didn't answer. She just walked away, leaving Clara fuming.

When Diana came out, all eyes were on her.

"Today's issue is done. No one mentions this again!" Diana announced, making Clara's team breathe a sigh of relief.

Calliope finally felt a bit of relief as things calmed down. Even though she knew the leaders' bet didn't really matter, she was still simmering with anger. She couldn't believe Clara had the nerve to stick around.

Diana noticed Calliope's changing expression but didn't say much, just gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Meeting time!"

Diana's words made Clara's team feel even more on edge.

A few people followed Diana into the conference room. As soon as the door closed, someone blurted out, "Ms. Spencer, what's going on? Didn't you win? Why isn't Ms. Williams leaving?"

Calliope nudged him with her elbow and said softly, "Ms. Spencer, don't mind him. I'm just glad to still be here; it doesn't matter if Ms. Williams is around or not."

Diana let them sit down before speaking, "Even though it was a bet, I can't force Clara to keep her word. But from now on, she won't be able to fire any of you."

Diana's eyes sharpened as she revealed the real purpose of the meeting. "Since she doesn't want to keep her promise, we don't need to be polite. From now on, we're going to make their team's work as difficult as possible, within legal limits."

Lily raised her hand and asked softly, "Can we take advantage of their mistakes?"

Diana nodded. "Absolutely."

"What about the losses caused by this?" someone from the finance department asked, thinking more carefully than the others.

Diana, looking nonchalant, said calmly, "Any losses are the Percy Group's problem. Besides, Clara's project has already caused enough damage, hasn't it?"

Diana paused for a moment, lowering her voice and speaking firmly, "I want a full-scale suppression of them. Can you do it?"

Everyone was silent for a moment, then said in unison, "Yes!"

They had long wanted to use the same underhanded tactics as Clara's team.

After today, Diana's team was done holding back.

Sensing everyone's fighting spirit, Diana continued, "Of course, if any of you want to join Ms. Williams' side and tell them this news, I don't mind. Go ahead."

Everyone looked at each other and quickly shook their heads. If they wanted to leave, they should have followed those two last time.

Afraid of being misunderstood by Diana, everyone began to show their loyalty.

Diana laughed and waved her hand. "No need to be nervous. I'm just being honest. As I said before, the relationship between employees and the company is based on interests. I don't demand your loyalty, I respect your choices. But if anyone chooses to betray, don't blame me for being ruthless."

Diana's bright smile sent chills down their spines, making their hair stand on end.

After the meeting ended, everyone returned to their seats with heavy hearts.

Someone from Clara's team couldn't help but ask, "What happened? What did Ms. Spencer say?"

The person asking hadn't usually targeted them, so Calliope just waved her hand. "Nothing, just some work instructions."

But Axel, next to her, didn't believe it and interrupted, "What's there to hide? We're all colleagues, just tell us."

The next second, everyone in Diana's team looked up at Axel in silence until he felt scared. "What's wrong?"

Their faces were full of undisguised contempt.

Calliope, usually gentle, spoke up, "It's none of your business! Get lost!"

Axel shrank back, his voice trembling. "Alright, I just asked. No need to bite my head off."

Calliope ignored him, focusing on her own tasks.

With Diana's orders clear, there was no reason to go easy on their group, so she was ready to go all out.

Over at Percy Group, Nolan had been keeping tabs on Diana's activities as per Charles' instructions.

Today, Nolan noticed Diana had started a livestream, but since Charles was in a meeting, he didn't want to interrupt.

When Charles finally emerged, he saw Nolan's hesitant look and frowned. "If you've got something to say, just spit it out. When did you become so timid?"
