Chapter 82 The Abortion Plan

When Diana spoke, Billy's face lit up instantly. He grabbed her hand, eyes twinkling, and the remnants of tears on his lashes could still be seen.

"Awesome! Friends it is, as long as you don't push me away! I'll do whatever you want!" Billy exclaimed.

Diana nodded awkwardly, trying to pull her hand back, but Billy's grip was too tight. "Let's eat first. We need some fuel to keep talking."

Just then, the three people who had been upstairs suddenly showed up in the dining room, all acting casual. Isolde stretched with a big yawn. "Finished work and got hungry again, so I came down for a snack."

Robert and Evelyn didn't even bother with an excuse, just chiming in with, "Me too."

The dining room buzzed with activity again. After the heartfelt chat, Billy was starving and sat across from Diana to eat, occasionally praising Evelyn's cooking. But to Diana, the food tasted bland. She had just gotten rid of Charles, and now Billy was here. Objectively, Billy was a great guy, but she wasn't interested in romance or marriage right now.

Isolde nudged her playfully and whispered, "I heard everything. What a juicy secret crush!"

Seeing Isolde's exaggerated expression and cheeky grin, Diana pinched her.

"Want this secret crush?" Diana asked.

"Why not? The Richardson Family is pretty solid. Seriously, we can keep an eye on him. If he really likes you, it could be a good match." Isolde whispered in Diana's ear, making her scratch it involuntarily.

Diana didn't respond directly, just said, "Have your meal."

Isolde knew when to back off, so she dropped it. For a while, the only sounds at the table were the clinking of utensils and bowls.

Meanwhile, the Williams Villa was anything but peaceful. The servants had been sent outside, leaving just Nathan, Mia, and Clara in the living room.

Clara, who had been so full of herself a few days ago, was now bawling her eyes out. Mia was trying to comfort her. Nathan sat on the sofa, looking pissed, saying nothing.

"Alright, Clara, stop crying." Mia hugged Clara, feeling heartbroken. Since Charles had rejected Clara last night, she hadn't stopped crying.

Nathan, fed up with her crying, snapped, "All you do is crying. The chance was right there, and you blew it. If you piss off Charles, we're all screwed."

Through her tears, Clara shot back at Nathan, "You blame me? Wasn't it you who told me to go last night?"

"How was I supposed to know you couldn't even handle a drunk guy? All my coaching went to waste." Nathan slammed his cup on the table, showing his disdain for Clara's failure.

Clara angrily grabbed a cushion from the sofa and threw it on the floor. "Do you think Charles is just any guy? If he were that easy, I wouldn't have to try so hard!"

Mia chimed in, defending Clara, "We rushed things. It's not Clara's fault. Now that it's done, let's figure out a way to fix this."

"How can we fix it? Nolan told me not to come back to the Percy Group unless necessary. Charles already hates me." Clara cried even harder, clutching her phone.

"Enough, stop crying. Even if things didn't work out with Charles, Diana can't beat us at the company." Nathan's words only made Clara angrier.

Clara snapped, "You sit around all day, what do you know? Last night, Mr. Percy and I saw Diana with a new guy at Mirage Nights Club. Guess who?"

Nathan and Mia exchanged confused looks. "Who?"

Clara yelled, "The heir of the Richardson Group, Billy! Diana even told Mr. Percy that Billy is her boyfriend."

Mia had no clue who Billy was, but Nathan did. The financial news had been buzzing about Billy, the young entrepreneur who had just come back from abroad.

He'd taken over the Richardson Group at a young age and was killing it in the business world, even giving the Percy Group a run for their money.

"What? Isn't she divorced? How did she get mixed up with the Richardson Family?" Nathan asked.

Hearing Nathan's words, Mia realized the Richardson Family must be another big deal. She gritted her teeth. 'How could Diana, that witch, get so lucky?'

Mia asked, "Isn't she pregnant? Does Mr. Richardson not know?"

Clara's tears stopped as Mia's words sank in. "Right, Diana's not just divorced, she's pregnant. Could the baby be Billy's, not Charles's?"

Nathan was skeptical. "The Richardson heir hasn't been back long. How could they have hooked up so fast?"

"She can't possibly be pregnant with Mr. Percy's kid and marry into the Richardson Family," Clara retorted.

Mia felt something was off. "Clara, is it possible that neither Mr. Percy nor Mr. Richardson knows Diana is pregnant? Maybe she's just waiting to get rid of the baby before marrying Mr. Richardson?"

Clara pondered Mia's words. The baby in Diana's womb was either Charles's or Billy's. If it was Charles's, it couldn't go to the Richardson Family. If it was Billy's, Diana could marry Billy with the baby, which would be way too lucky for her. Either way, the baby had to go. As long as Diana was miserable, Clara would be happy.

"This baby has to go. Dad, can you find someone to get rid of Diana's baby like before?" Clara wiped her tears and turned to Nathan.

Nathan coughed awkwardly. He still hadn't settled the $1.5 million fee from before and hadn't dared to go on the Dark Web recently. But faced with Clara's pleading, he nodded. "We can hire someone for some money. It's just an abortion."

"But Diana is always escorted to and from work. Even if she disappears for half a day, people will notice. How can we act?" Mia raised a crucial point. They had thought about causing trouble for Diana before. But Diana usually went straight home from the company, rarely giving them a chance to catch her alone.

The three fell into deep thought. Although money could solve many problems, they still needed to be cautious in a law-abiding society. But soon, Nathan came up with a solution. "If we can't catch her, we'll make her come to us."

Clara said, "She avoids us like the plague. Why would she come willingly?"

Diana usually avoided Clara like she was something dirty. Nathan smirked, looking confident. "Temptation, of course. I still have 15% of the Spencer Group's shares. If I use that as bait, do you think she'll come?"

Clara's eyes lit up. Since Diana had revived the Spencer Group, she must care about its shares. "She'll definitely come. I'll personally invite her. This time, Diana must pay the price!"

Clara's sweet voice was like a venomous snake, sending chills down one's spine.
