Chapter 109 Mentor

"Mr. Percy, Ms. Spencer started a live stream again today, but it wasn't for company promotion; it was on her personal account," Nolan reported, watching Charles' reaction.

Seeing that he stayed calm, he added, "Mr. Richardson sent her a bunch of gifts again."

Charles paused, clearly annoyed. "Is she that desperate for money? Isn't the Percy Group's investment enough? Even if she needs cash, there's no need to make a spectacle of it on such a platform to ask Billy for it. Did you find out what's going on?"

Nolan nodded. "I asked around at the Spencer Group. Ms. Williams wanted to fire Ms. Spencer's team members, and they had a disagreement. So they used this method to compete, and of course, Ms. Spencer won in the end."

Charles took a sip of coffee, thinking about Diana and Billy's relationship, and muttered, "So childish. If she can't even protect her own employees, that's just ridiculous."

Then, his tone shifted, and he slammed the cup on the table. "Don't tell me about such things next time. I don't want to hear it."

Nolan stayed silent but felt pretty helpless inside.

He couldn't help but think, 'He's the one who said every detail about Diana had to be reported to him. He seems interested when he's listening, but after hearing it all, he starts throwing a fit. I didn't even do anything to provoke him. Since he doesn't want to hear it, there's no need to tell him that Diana's going out to dinner with Billy after work.'

"Alright, Mr. Percy, if there's nothing else, I'll take my leave." Nolan packed up his documents and turned to go.

But the next second, Charles called him back, "Come with me to the Azure Palace Hotel later. Mr. Glenn has returned to the country."

Nolan paused, because Garry Glenn was a big deal.

It wasn't that Garry was particularly powerful, but he was like a mentor to Charles.

When Charles took over the Percy Group, besides Juniper's support, Garry also strongly backed him against all opposition.

However, as Garry got older, he resigned from his position and went to join his son. It was quite surprising that he had returned recently.

Since they were meeting an important guest, Nolan moved faster than usual. From preparing the car to arriving at the destination, it took just over forty minutes.

Inside the Azure Palace Hotel, a waiter led them to a private room.

As soon as they entered, Charles saw Garry sitting at the head of the table.

To Garry's right sat a young man and woman. The man, Noah Glenn, had a handsome appearance and a gentle demeanor. The woman, Sabrina Glenn, looked very young, just in her early twenties. She had shoulder-length curly hair and a delicate, cute face.

Charles didn't show much reaction to the presence of the two additional people. He just went up to greet Garry.

Seeing him, Garry stood up excitedly, looked Charles up and down, and then patted his shoulder with satisfaction, saying, "You've really grown up and gotten more handsome."

Charles smiled slightly, his expression gentle. "Mr. Glenn, you look more energetic as well."

Garry wanted to say more, but Sabrina interrupted him with a pout, "Grandpa, how can you just catch up and not introduce us?"

"Sabrina, that's rude." Noah, beside her, pulled her back. Although he was scolding her, his tone was full of affection.

Sabrina huffed and turned her head away.

Garry then remembered and introduced them to Charles, "This is my granddaughter Sabrina, and this is my grandson Noah. They came back to the country with me, and I wanted you all to meet."

Seeing that Sabrina was still upset, Garry shook his head and affectionately pulled her over to stand in front of Charles. "Didn't you always want to meet Charles? Now that he's here, why are you throwing a tantrum?"

Charles looked down at Sabrina in front of him, his eyes showing no emotion, but he still politely extended his hand. "I'm Charles."

Sabrina finally looked up but didn't dare to meet Charles' eyes. She quickly glanced at him and then looked away. Their hands did meet, though. "Hello, I'm Sabrina."

Noah, beside her, extended his hand at the right moment. He was much more composed than Sabrina. "Hello, Mr. Percy. I'm Sabrina's brother, Noah. I've often heard my grandfather mention you, and meeting you today, you are indeed extraordinary."

Charles let go of Sabrina's hand and turned to shake Noah's. "Hello."

"Alright, now that we've met, let's not just stand around. Sit down and chat while we eat." Garry urged, pulling Charles to sit down.

"Charles, it's been so many years since we last met. To be honest, I'm planning to stay in the country for good this time," After a few drinks, Garry spoke his mind.

Charles nodded slightly and raised his glass in a toast.

Before coming, he had already looked into it. Garry's company abroad had run into problems due to his son's poor management, so he returned to the country to look after the remaining assets.

It was not that they had become very poor, but the Glenn Family was now only considered middle class.

Charles, out of past respect, had lowered himself to attend this gathering.

Garry had always been an ambitious man, and even though he was old now, he wasn't foolish.

During the Percy Family inheritance battle, Garry had seen that Charles was not simple and had fought fiercely against the Percys.

Rather than saying Garry was helping him, it was more accurate to say Garry had bet on the right person.

Later, when Charles successfully inherited the Percy Group, Garry held a very high position in the company.

When Garry retired abroad, it was actually orchestrated by Charles.

Now that Garry had returned to the country and brought his grandchildren to meet Charles, it was clear he had something to ask.

Garry spoke up, "To be honest, my son squandered all our assets abroad. It's a good thing I didn't let him join the Percy Group back then, or he would have ruined the company."

Charles didn't say anything, but Nolan nodded silently.

Garry had indeed wanted to support his son back then, but his only son had no business acumen and wasn't diligent, so Charles had politely declined.

Now that Garry was getting older.

"Mr. Glenn, I know it's not easy for you. I'll help in any way I can. You can stay in the country with peace of mind," Charles took the initiative to speak, saving Garry from having to keep complaining.

"Noah, I hear you're now managing the family's business. If there's any opportunity for collaboration, you can talk to my assistant."
