Chapter 117 Interception
Charles' eyes were dark and menacing as he barked at Nolan, "Find her! I need to know where she went today."
Nolan didn't waste any time and quickly alerted his team to start searching.
Within 20 minutes, Charles had Diana's location. He didn't hesitate and sped off to track her down himself.
Billy had just settled Diana in the car, planning to take her to a villa in the suburbs to recover. But a silver Maybach behind them kept trying to force his car to stop.
Billy's anger flared, and he growled, "Step on it!"
The chase was on.
Nolan, sitting beside Charles, cautioned, "Mr. Percy, don't be rash. Ms. Spencer is still in the car!"
Charles gripped the steering wheel, his eyes locked on the black Maserati ahead. Rage boiled inside him; he wanted to slam the gas and crash into it. That way, Diana wouldn't be able to escape, ever.
And then he did just that. Under Nolan's horrified gaze, Charles rammed the front of his car into the Maserati's lower left side.
Luckily, Billy's driver was skilled. He anticipated the collision and swerved sharply, avoiding a serious crash. Billy shielded Diana, bracing against the impact. The force from behind was strong, but Billy held on and wasn't thrown out.
Before he could react, the driver urgently said, "Mr. Richardson, he's parked in front of us, blocking our way."
Charles got out of the Maybach, his face dark, and marched straight to the rear window, pounding on the glass.
Billy's face hardened as he rolled down the window. "Mr. Percy, I'm busy. I don't have time for your games."
Charles' voice was low and threatening. "Give Diana back to me."
His tone was menacing, as if warning Billy that non-compliance would have dire consequences.
But Billy wasn't intimidated. He shot Charles a cold look. "Diana was never yours. What do you mean by that? I don't have time for this. Drive!"
Billy ignored Charles' furious expression and rolled up the window. But Nolan wasn't useless; he blocked the car, preventing them from moving.
The driver, sweating nervously, said, "We can't move, Mr. Richardson. What should we do?"
Billy's eyes narrowed. "Just crash into him!"
But the driver didn't dare to follow the order; instead, he pressed the brake pedal even harder. "Mr. Billy Richardson, Mr. Vance Richardson said we can't harm people recklessly in the country! It affects his career!"
Billy's face darkened again. Every time he wanted to act, he had to consider Vance. If he couldn't use his power, what was the point of having it?
Billy clenched his fists, watching as five or six cars arrived on the empty suburban road within half an hour. These cars surrounded Billy, leaving no room for escape.
A group of men in black got out and respectfully bowed to Charles.
"By any means necessary, open that car for me." Charles' patience was at its limit, his forehead veins bulging.
The men in black nodded, ready to start smashing the Maserati's windows.
Seeing them take out tools to break the window, Billy, not wanting Diana to get hurt, opened the car door himself. "Enough! Charles! What do you want?"
Charles stormed up to the car and immediately spotted Diana, fast asleep. Emotions surged through him as he yanked Billy out of the car.
The driver saw Billy in trouble and tried to help, but Nolan quickly shoved him back.
Charles grabbed Billy by the collar, pinning him against the car, forcing him to look up in a humiliating position.
Billy slapped Charles' hand away and spat, "Are you out of your mind?"
"I told you, give Diana to me!" Charles stood tall, eyes blazing with fury.
Billy figured Charles' outburst was because he knew about Diana's pregnancy. He had finally gotten a chance to pursue her, so he couldn't let Diana go to The Percy Mansion.
Billy sneered. "You're really sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. Diana is my girlfriend!"
"She's pregnant with my kid!" Charles roared, but Billy's expression didn't change.
"Diana is pregnant with my kid!" Billy shot back.
Charles was stunned. He frowned, thinking he should feel relieved.
But knowing Diana was carrying Billy's kid made him even angrier. He swung a punch at Billy's head, but Billy dodged, and the punch landed on the car.
"Enough, Charles, stop bothering us!" Before Billy could finish, a weak voice called from the car, "Billy?"
Billy's face changed, and he quickly turned to check, seeing Diana was awake.
Charles also reacted, shoving Billy aside and facing the still-drowsy Diana in the back seat.
Diana, still groggy from the anesthesia, saw Charles' face and even reached out to touch it.
Outside, Billy was held down by two men in black, his mouth covered to prevent him from making a sound.
Charles, initially furious, calmed down seeing Diana's pale face and hospital gown.
When Diana cupped his face and leaned in close, he didn't resist.
Diana could only see the figure in front of her swaying back and forth, so she had to hold his face with her hands to see more clearly. But when she saw Charles' grim face, she quickly let go, retreating in fear.
Charles, irritated by Diana's instinctive reaction, squinted his eyes. 'Does she hate me that much?'
"Why are you here? Where's Billy?" Diana's voice was hoarse as she frowned and asked.
Charles said nothing, shouting at the driver, "Get out!"
The driver didn't dare stay and quickly got out, closing the door behind him.
Charles extended his arm to close the car windows tightly and locked the doors before slowly approaching the cornered Diana.
Due to the medication, Diana didn't immediately guess Charles' intentions, just staring at him.
When Charles got closer, she realized something was wrong and tried to open the car door, but it wouldn't budge.
"Now you want to run? Too late," Charles trapped Diana under him, speaking almost into her ear.
His voice was low and hoarse, his warm breath on Diana's cheek. What should have been an intimate moment made Diana shiver.
She couldn't help but think, 'Why is Charles here? What does this madman want?'
"Mr. Percy, I don't recall doing anything recently to upset you," Diana spoke politely, placing one hand on Charles's chest to push him away while the other hand groped behind her, hoping to find a weapon in the car.
