Chapter 149 I'll go myself

Sabrina and Noah's little chat didn't go unnoticed by the two bodyguards nearby.

One of them didn't even need to look to know his buddy was already sending this juicy tidbit to Nolan.

Sure enough, the other bodyguard, looking all serious, shot off a message: [Ms. Spencer is chatting with some random guy.]

Over at the Percy Group, in the President's Office.

Charles was holding Nolan's phone, his intense eyes glued to the messages from the bodyguard.

Gotta admit, the bodyguard had a knack for taking pics; the videos and photos were top-notch.

In the fancy store, Diana was with Evelyn, grinning from ear to ear.

The jewelry lighting made her look like a sparkling gem.

Charles's eyebrow twitched slightly as he scrolled down.

Diana and the guy were chilling on lounge chairs, looking all comfy, a scene he never got to see.

Along with the earlier message: [Ms. Spencer decided to go find a handsome guy.]

Charles almost crushed the phone, a cold, sinister smile creeping onto his face. "Well, she's getting bold."

Nolan stood there, staring at a brick on the floor, his mind wandering.

Honestly, this was all Claire's fault.

Normally, Nolan would wait until the evening to compile and report Diana's activities to Charles.

He was always thorough, double-checking everything.

But just now, while he was talking about work with Abigail, his phone was on the desk.

Suddenly, the screen lit up, and Claire, being nosy, read it out loud.

Her voice wasn't loud, but it was clear enough for everyone to hear.

Claire tilted her head, curious, "Nolan, who's this Ms. Spencer?"

And there was Charles, standing behind her, silently watching.

Nolan and Abigail, startled, looked up to see Charles just two steps behind Claire.

As he walked closer, Claire leaned against the desk, looking shy, her long lashes fluttering.

"What's up, Charles?"

Charles didn't say a word, just reached past her to grab Nolan's phone.

Claire's eyes widened, the woody scent of him making her dizzy.

When she snapped out of it, she saw Charles staring at the phone screen, his expression darkening.

"Charles?" Claire asked cautiously, but he didn't respond.

Nolan quickly walked over, and when he saw the screen, he was speechless.

Charles slapped the phone against Nolan's chest and stormed back to the President's Office.

Nolan gave Claire a complicated look and followed, leaving Claire and Abigail staring at each other in confusion.

In the office, Nolan was sweating bullets, facing a grim Charles.

"Mr. Percy, these haven't been verified yet. Since the bodyguards didn't step in, this guy's probably just a passerby or a friend of Ms. Spencer."

Trying to avoid looking incompetent, Nolan defended Diana for the first time.

"Passerby? Friend?" Charles repeated, mocking.

When Diana was married, she was always with him, and he never heard of any friends.

Now that they were divorced, friends seemed to pop up out of nowhere.

He stared at the photo of their backs, feeling inexplicably annoyed.

Tense, Nolan suggested, "I'll have the bodyguards bring Ms. Spencer back and keep a close eye on her."

Charles suddenly stood up, looking all serious.

"No need, I'll go see for myself what kind of handsome guy she's found."

Nolan closed his eyes, silently feeling sorry for Diana.

Meanwhile, Diana was chatting on and off with Noah.

Just when things were getting awkward, Isolde and the others finished their hot spring bath and messaged her, asking where she was.

Diana's eyes lit up, and she quickly sent her location, just as her hair was almost dry.

She thought to herself, 'Please, Sabrina, hurry up and take Noah away.'

"What's up? You look really happy," Noah asked, noticing her bright smile.

Diana cleared her throat, "Sabrina and the others are done with their hot spring bath and are coming to find me."

As they were talking, Sabrina spotted Diana and Noah from afar.

Her eyes lit up, thinking Noah had finally come around. He had been pretending to be a gentleman earlier, but now he was still captivated by Diana?

"Noah! Diana!" Sabrina called out, running over with her cheeks flushed from the hot spring, looking almost tipsy.

Diana turned and held her hand, "How was it? Was the hot spring nice?"

Sabrina nodded, but her eyes darted between Noah and Diana, "Noah, weren't you supposed to be with Grandpa? Why are you here?"

She smiled mischievously, as if saying, "You can't fool me."

Noah stood up, ruffling her hair, and deflected the blame. "Because you ran off, Grandpa sent me to find you."

Sabrina swatted his hand away and hugged Diana's arm, retorting, "You just came down to bump into Diana, didn't you?"

No wonder she was his sister, knowing his thoughts so well.

Noah's smile didn't falter, but he discreetly observed Diana's expression. Fortunately, Diana took it as a joke and didn't mind.

Isolde and Evelyn also walked over, getting a closer look at Noah's face.

Isolde couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, "Sabrina, your brother is very handsome. Your family has good genes."

Sabrina lifted her chin with pride. "Of course, but I'm the best-looking in my family!"

Everyone laughed and agreed. "Yes, you are the prettiest."

Upstairs, Garry, having waited a long time for Sabrina and Noah, frowned and called Noah.

As his pocket vibrated, Noah took out his phone and answered it in front of everyone.

"Grandpa, we're downstairs. Sabrina is right next to me."

Garry's voice was loud through the speaker, "Bring Sabrina up quickly. You promised to keep me company, and now I don't know where you all went."

Noah smiled apologetically, "Got it, Grandpa. We're coming up now."

With that, Garry hung up the phone.

Noah patted Sabrina's shoulder, "Did you hear that? Grandpa wants us to go back."

"It's not like we haven't seen each other in years. Noah, you go. I still want to hang out with Diana and the others," Sabrina pouted, looking reluctant.

She had no friends in the country, and while Noah paid for everything when they went out, she was always being watched, unlike the freedom she felt with the girls.

"Sabrina, don't be stubborn. Listen, come with me," Noah tried to coax her.

"Sabrina, listen to Noah and go up. We'll have another chance to hang out. We all exchanged contact information, didn't we?" Isolde chimed in.

Her parents had passed away early, and Isolde often regretted not spending more time with them. Seeing this scene, she felt a bit emotional.

"Yes, you promised your grandpa, so you should keep your word," Diana added.

"Go on, Ms. Glenn. Next time we meet, I'll teach you how to bake some rolls," Evelyn gently coaxed.
