Chapter 222 Kissing

Charles's face went dark, and it felt like the air around him got heavier. "Did you touch her?"

Jake shook his head fast, but Jett, standing nearby, chimed in, "He touched Ms. Spencer's hair and was about to touch her face. Oh, and he used his right hand."

Charles frowned, grabbed Diana's chin, and turned her face towards him. "Is that what you call not bullying? Were you trying to cover for him by shaking your head?"

"You're talking nonsense. It was just her hair. Besides, I've already made him pay for it." Diana pushed his hand away, rubbed her cheek, and moved a bit further from Charles.

Right now, dealing with Jake was the priority. Charles stepped forward, the sound of his leather shoes on the ground like a countdown before an execution.

Charles's voice was cold, "Break his right hand and throw him in jail to think about what he's done."

In a flash, two men in black moved to carry out his order.

Jake panicked and tried to run, but his legs were weak with fear, and he barely crawled a short distance before getting caught again.

The police were still here, and he was about to have his hand broken. Was this still a society governed by law?

Thinking of this, Jake struggled and shouted, "My uncle is the police chief! How dare you hurt me!"

The nearby police officer got agitated hearing this, but his mouth was covered, and he was tightly controlled by the men in black.

"Is that so?" Charles raised an eyebrow, finally reacting to this statement.

But then he turned to Nolan beside him, "Looks like his uncle's been chief long enough. Let's replace him."

A police chief who kept covering up for his relatives' crimes wouldn't survive a thorough investigation.

Jake had caused a lot of trouble for Wilmer too.

With that, the bodyguard struck Jake's arm hard. After a scream, Jake passed out from the pain, his arm hanging limply, clearly broken.

"Take him away. We don't want to see him." Nolan stepped forward and nodded at the police officer. The bodyguards released their grip.

The police officers exchanged looks. Charles's power was stronger than Jake's, and they couldn't afford to provoke him.

Moments later, they dragged Jake into the police car.

To make sure they followed orders, Nolan and a few men in black got into the car too.

The scene quieted down a lot. Charles glanced at Diana, his eyes showing some unreadable emotion.

He took a few steps forward and pulled her into the car.

The back seat, which was spacious before, felt cramped with Charles inside.

Diana shrank into the corner, her tone serious, "What are you doing?"

His eyes flickered, and he suddenly said, "You brought me medicine today."

It was a statement, with a hint of barely noticeable confidence.

Diana frowned slightly. She brought the medicine, so what?

What was wrong with him today? Was he really out of his mind?

"Yes, but Jacob asked me to bring it. I just did it in passing."

If something went wrong, it couldn't be blamed on her. No one was more innocent than she was.

Charles didn't catch the hidden emotion in her words but instead smiled slightly, feeling pleased.

He reached out to touch Diana's cheek, the soft texture making him rub it twice.

Her fear was evident as she swallowed, her face turning pale.

She grabbed Charles's wrist with both hands to stop him from suddenly choking her. "Charles, don't..."

Diana desperately wanted to swear she hadn't done anything. She had been very well-behaved recently. Instead of wanting to kill Charles, she just wanted to run away.

But Charles ignored her, his hand gradually moving to her neck, feeling the lightly pulsing veins under her delicate skin.

He felt a rush of excitement, his heart pounding in his chest.

Charles looked into her moist eyes, recalling her previous angry expression. He suddenly looked away, his gaze falling on her lips.

Since the divorce, he had mostly seen Diana without makeup. She looked much better than when she wore heavy makeup.

Right now, she wasn't wearing lipstick, and her lips were rosy, resembling the cherry jelly he had eaten as a child.

He wanted to taste it. Slowly, he leaned in closer.

Diana's eyes were fixed on Charles's face, trying to read his emotions. But he just stared at her silently.

When she came to her senses, she realized the distance between them was only a fist's width.

Their breaths mingled, and the temperature in the car seemed to rise.

Diana quickly extended her hand, pushing against Charles' chest, but her strength was insignificant compared to his.

His handsome face loomed closer, her eyes widening in surprise.

Diana exclaimed, "Charles, no—"

Charles lowered his head and kissed her lips.

Just as he thought, they tasted sweet.

Diana's eyes widened, and it felt like something exploded in her mind, making her forget to breathe for a moment.

Why was he kissing her again?

As their lips and teeth intertwined, Charles noticed she wasn't breathing. When he opened his eyes, he saw Diana staring and holding her breath, her face blushing.

He couldn't help but chuckle softly, then whispered, "Open your mouth and breathe."

With that, he lowered his head again, aiming to kiss her.

But this time, it wasn't so easy. Diana mustered all her strength and shoved him away.

She raised her wrist and wiped her mouth with her sleeve, spitting a few times, her eyes full of resistance.

"What are you doing?" Diana asked angrily.

Sensing her unwillingness, Charles's heart felt like it had been hit hard.

But the next second, he leaned forward, one hand gripping Diana's waist, pulling her into his arms, and the other hand controlling the back of her head, making her unable to move.

His voice was low and hoarse, tinged with a hint of desire, "Kissing you."

With that, he lowered his head and captured her chattering lips.

Diana's lips were soft, with a faint fruity taste, probably from her lip balm. Charles accepted it all, yet he remained unsatisfied, always craving more.

Diana's face flushed, and she was kissed until she was out of breath, but she kept her teeth clenched, keeping him out.

The wet tip of his tongue brushed against her teeth, but it couldn't get in.

Charles was also a bit annoyed. The hand on her waist slipped under her clothes, his hand hot against her skin, making Diana's waist involuntarily shrink.

His hand applied a bit of pressure, pinching a piece of soft flesh, startling Diana into a soft cry.

In that moment, he found his opportunity.

Diana felt like a rabbit caught by a wolf, struggling desperately. But she was easily pinned down, unable to move.

The sensation between their lips and teeth became more pronounced.

He lightly nibbled on her lower lip, licked her palate, teasing the soft flesh, his tongue deeply stirring the accumulated saliva.

Diana clenched her teeth and bit down hard.

Charles winced in pain, his brows furrowing, and he released her lips.

Both of their lips were red and swollen, especially hers, with a drop of blood at the corner of her mouth.

She looked even more alluring, like a beautiful vampire from a myth.

Diana panted heavily, her chest heaving. This suffocating kiss left her brain a bit oxygen-deprived.

She didn't understand how they suddenly ended up kissing. Charles took stomach medicine, not an aphrodisiac.

"Why did you kiss me?"

Charles's eyes were deep, giving her time to catch her breath.

After confirming that she had brought the medicine, he felt a sense of satisfaction.

He kissed her because he wanted to. No need for reasons.

But he said, "I stood up for you, so I'm asking for a little reward."
