Chapter 268 Washing Up

Sabrina froze, her previously dull eyes suddenly filled with a hint of panic.

Compared to Garry, she definitely didn't want to see Noah.

She had boasted in front of Charles, claiming Diana was her sister-in-law.

Looking back now, Noah was in a tough spot all because of her.

Sabrina got up from the floor and quickly walked to the door, raising her voice. "Noah, I don't want to see anyone. I'm fine, just go back to work."

"Sabrina, open the door. We need to talk."

Noah didn't listen to her and continued to knock patiently.

After a moment, the door finally opened. Sabrina stood there, pouting with a helpless expression. "I'm really fine."

She was wearing a fluffy loungewear set, with crumbs from snacks still on her collar, showing no signs of distress.

Noah relaxed a bit after seeing her.

Then, with a slightly stern tone, he grabbed her shoulders and said, "Sabrina, whatever happens in the future, let me handle it. Don't lock yourself away like this."

Sabrina's eyes wandered. She nodded slightly and apologized, "I'm sorry, Noah. I was too impulsive this time. I just didn't expect Diana to be Mr. Percy's ex-wife."

Noah had been shocked too when he found out about Diana's identity. It was the first time he had actively investigated someone's background.

He discovered that Diana and Charles had a tumultuous divorce, yet that night, Charles had shown an overwhelming possessiveness, clearly cherishing her.

But who could really understand the complexities of a married couple's relationship?

Although Noah had a good impression of Diana, the Glenn family was more important in this situation.

"I've thought it over these past few days. Diana didn't do anything wrong. She doesn't know us well, so why would she tell us she's Mr. Percy's ex-wife?"

Sabrina rested her hand on her chin, looking thoughtful.

"Exactly. It's good we stopped in time. Mr. Percy has helped us a lot because of Grandpa. This whole thing was just a misunderstanding."

Noah smiled and patted Sabrina's head. As long as she understood, everything would be easier.

Sure enough, Sabrina's eyes widened, and she spoke up, "Should we apologize to Mr. Percy? And to Diana too. This was my fault..."

"I've already apologized to Mr. Percy. Now, since he still likes Diana, we should focus on her. Sabrina, you need to clear things up with her."

Noah was pleased with Sabrina's response. He had already discussed it with Garry. A man like Charles, once he had a weakness, was no longer invincible.

The Percy Group had immense power in the Rainbow Federation. A mere teacher-student relationship was too weak. The Glenn family needed more connections with the Percy family.

Since Sabrina couldn't marry Charles, building a good relationship with Diana was the next best thing.

Sabrina hesitated, worried that Diana wouldn't forgive her.

But she quickly made up her mind and said, "Alright, I'll go find Diana. But I don't know where she lives."

"I'll go with you."

Diana had a restless night and was still groggy. But early in the morning, Charles was already being a nuisance.

He kept playing with her hair, the strands tickling her face. She couldn't help but scratch her nose, but it still itched.

She opened her eyes abruptly and saw Charles propped up on his elbow, watching her. He was twirling a lock of her hair, clearly the source of her irritation.

Already annoyed from lack of sleep, Diana yanked her hair back and snapped, "What's wrong with you? Can't you let me sleep?"

She turned over, facing away from him, and closed her eyes to continue sleeping.

Soon, she heard a soft chuckle, and then Charles's chest pressed against her back, pulling her into his arms.

She didn't know what time it was, but the bright sunlight outside suggested it was close to lunchtime.

So why was Charles still here? Shouldn't he be at work?

The arm around her waist tightened, making it hard for her to move. She curled up and said, "Aren't you going to work? If you keep slacking off, your company will go bankrupt."

Charles rested his chin on her shoulder, his voice husky and sexy from sleep, "Don't worry, the company can run without me. Besides, it's the weekend."

He had woken up much earlier than Diana, and after freshening up, he saw she was still asleep. So he got back into bed and held her for a nap.

Seeing it was almost noon, he worried she might be hungry, so he decided to wake her up.

Diana turned around with difficulty, using her hands and feet to push him away, creating some distance between them. "If you're not sleeping, then get out. I want to sleep."

"Eat first, then you can sleep. Don't starve my baby." As he spoke, Charles sat up and pulled the blanket off her.

He hooked an arm around her waist, leading her to the bathroom.

Diana couldn't break free, so she closed her eyes and ignored him. 'I'm not getting up. I just want to sleep. Let's see what he does about that.'

But she underestimated Charles's determination.

Having bathed her twice before, he was quite adept at it now. He pinched her cheeks, forcing her mouth open, and the cold, slightly bitter toothbrush with toothpaste entered.

After a few brushes, Diana bit down on the toothbrush, stopping him.

Charles was both amused and exasperated. "Are you sure you don't want to brush?"

Diana kept her eyes closed, refusing to answer.

The next second, a hand touched her waist, rubbing her sensitive spot.

Diana yelped, and the toothbrush fell out. It was replaced by something softer and more flexible.

Charles's tongue, carrying the minty toothpaste, entered her mouth. The bitter and spicy taste, along with some foam, went down her throat.

Diana couldn't pretend anymore. She opened her eyes to see Charles very close, focused on kissing her.

'Lunatic!' She screamed internally. Kissing so early in the morning, wasn't it disgusting?

If she could turn back time, she would have brushed her teeth properly.

Diana pushed Charles away and spat into the sink. After rinsing out the foam, she finally looked up.

Their eyes met in the mirror. Charles had a smug smile, as if saying, "You didn't want to brush, so I had to use another method."

Diana glared at him, grabbing the toothbrush. She sighed, suppressing her emotions, and gave in.

As the water ran, Diana reluctantly started brushing her teeth, while Charles rinsed his mouth.

They stood side by side at the sink, both still in their sleepwear, looking every bit the quintessential couple—seeming rather cute despite the tension.

After they finished, Diana glared and warned, "If you kiss me again, I'll bite your tongue off!"

Charles raised an eyebrow but didn't respond. 'Who was the one who couldn't stand up straight after being kissed last night?'

If she knew what he was thinking, she'd probably throw a fit. Clearing his throat to hide his amusement, he changed the subject, "Let's go eat."
