Chapter 546 Kidnapping

The Percy Mansion.

Benjamin had been in a pretty bad mood lately.

Before, when Charles was at work, Diana would stay home with him, and when Diana was working, Charles would be home.

But now, both of them were at the office, leaving him alone at home, bored out of his mind.

To make matters worse, Dean was also busy, and the adults were too preoccupied to pay attention to him.

Benjamin was angry, but seeing Diana and Charles getting along so well, he didn't want to ruin it. So, he sulked alone, giving them their space.

Jacob noticed his unhappiness and bought him lots of toys and various picture books. He was now in the kitchen making new desserts, trying to cheer him up.

But Benjamin wasn't interested at all. Snowy, the family dog, seemed to pick up on his mood and was restlessly wagging its tail.

As Benjamin fiddled with his robot toy out of sheer boredom, he heard the sound of a car engine outside.

His eyes lit up, and he glanced at his watch. It was only 1 PM. Why were they back so early?

He quickly stood up, but Snowy was faster.

Snowy darted out but soon retreated, barking furiously at the door.

Benjamin was puzzled, but his excitement quickly overshadowed his confusion.

"Mr. Percy! You're back!"

He ran to the door, but instead of his parents, a group of menacing men stood there.

They were all burly, with guns visibly tucked into their belts.

One of them immediately grabbed Benjamin and whispered, "Let's go."

Benjamin was stunned by the sudden turn of events. When he came to his senses, he screamed, "Help! Help me!"

The servants heard the commotion and gathered around, but seeing the guns, they cowered in the corners, trembling.

Jacob rushed out of the kitchen and nearly fainted at the sight. He pinched his palm to stay calm and demanded, "Who are you? This is the Percy Mansion. Are you crazy? Put the child down!"

"Mr. Hearst, help me!" Benjamin cried, kicking his legs.

But these men were far more ruthless than the Percy family's usual security.

One of them fired a shot into the air and shouted, "Move, or die!"

The Percy Mansion had its own guards, but these intruders were quick and had their guns trained on them.

Even Jacob was targeted, and the atmosphere became tense.

Seeing this, Benjamin stopped struggling. It was crucial not to provoke these dangerous men.

The man holding him seemed pleased with his compliance, carried him to the car, and rolled down the window to sneer at Jacob, "Cooperate, and the kid stays safe."

As the car drove away, the other men followed, guns still drawn.

Once they were gone, Jacob collapsed to the ground. The servants rushed to him, but he strained his neck, eyes red, and shouted, "Notify Mr. Percy!"

Then he fainted.

-

In the car, Benjamin was tied up, a black cloth over his head, and his mouth taped shut to prevent him from screaming.

Having been kidnapped once before, Benjamin was surprisingly calm this time.

He couldn't understand why he was being kidnapped again. The crazy woman from last time was already caught. Who were these people?

He wanted to go out and play, but not like this!

As he thought, he felt for his watch. Thankfully, he was wearing it.

As soon as the car stopped, he would send his location to his mom, and someone would come to rescue him.

With that in mind, Benjamin kept his head down, pretending to be scared stiff.

The car sped along, not just to get Benjamin away but also to shake off any pursuers.

These men were well-prepared, driving identical cars that looked ordinary from the outside, blending into traffic easily.

An hour later, the car finally stopped.

Benjamin heard breathing and felt someone lift him out.

After a short walk, he was placed on a chair, and someone said, "He's here."

The voice wasn't directed at Benjamin.

A deep male voice responded, "Guard the door."

Silence fell again. Just as Benjamin strained to hear more, the black cloth was yanked off his head, and the sudden light made him squint.

Benjamin instinctively looked around.

The place was dilapidated, with peeling walls, cluttered corners, and a musty smell in the air.

It seemed like no one had been here for a long time.

The next moment, someone grabbed his chin, forcing him to look up.

Zachary scrutinized his face, his fingers tracing Benjamin's eyebrows, eyes, and cheeks. His voice was light, tinged with excitement, "You look just like him."

Benjamin swallowed hard, staring at Zachary, "Who are you? Why did you kidnap me? I'm from the Percy family. Do you want money? My dad has lots of money."

Zachary held his chin, his fingers pressing against Benjamin's delicate neck. A little more pressure, and he could strangle him.

Hearing about the money, Zachary seemed intrigued, "Oh? Your family is rich?"

"Yes! Very rich. You should ask my dad for money. He'll definitely give it to you."

Benjamin nodded eagerly. No amount of money was worth more than his life.

But Zachary wasn't interested in the money. He smiled and asked, "Who's your dad?"

Benjamin hesitated, remembering his current identity as Charles's nephew.

Was this man a business rival of Charles?

What was his brother's name again?

After a moment of thinking, he blurted out, "Zachary Percy. My dad is Zachary Percy. My mom is a waitress. I'm their illegitimate child. I lied to you. I'm not important at all. They hate me. Sir, I'm worthless. Please let me go. I promise I won't say a word."

If his hands weren't tied behind his back, Benjamin would have clasped them in prayer.

But Zachary burst into laughter, a wild, almost insane laugh.

When he stopped, he wiped away tears of laughter and grabbed Benjamin's face again, "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Zachary Percy. Welcome back, my dear."

In an instant, Benjamin's hair stood on end.

He instinctively tried to back away but had nowhere to go, his wide eyes betraying his fear.

How could this be? How could he be Zachary?

Why would he kidnap him? Was it really just to bring back his son?

But even if he wanted his son back, why tie him up like this?

Fear gripped Benjamin. He realized things were more complicated than he thought.

He quickly pressed the button on his watch, trying to stay calm.

"Why so quiet? I'm your dad. Come on, call me Dad."

Zachary smiled, shaking Benjamin's head like a toy.

"Dad... Daddy," Benjamin's voice trembled as he obediently called out, then cautiously added, "Please don't tie me up. I'm really scared..."

After he called out, Zachary laughed again, this time covering his eyes, leaving Benjamin confused.

Suddenly, Zachary yanked his hair, lifting him almost off the ground.

The pain and fear made Benjamin cry out, tears streaming down his face. He struggled, only to be thrown to the ground.

The chair toppled over, and Benjamin's head hit the floor.

His vision blurred with tears, he tried to crawl to a corner but was stopped by the wall.

Zachary, like a demon, slowly approached, his voice icy, "My son is still abroad. You're not my son. If I'm right, your real father is my brother Charles, and your mother is that bitch Diana. You two should have died five years ago. Why did you come back?"
