Chapter 337 Naughty Child
The fans, now emotionally charged, began to shout.
"Check the security footage! Stella, don't be scared of him. He's just a kid, making up stories."
"Yeah, when his parents get here, we'll sue them for defamation. They can't use a kid as a shield."
Stella hesitated.
If they really checked the footage and saw that it was her manager Donny who pushed the kid, she would be implicated since she was right behind him.
As a celebrity, every move she made was under the spotlight. If news got out that she bullied a child, her career would be in jeopardy.
And then there was the Percy family. They would probably think she was a cruel woman.
Thinking of this, Stella bit her lip and nudged Donny, whispering so only the two of them could hear.
"You did this, you handle it. Don't think just because you're my cousin, I'll clean up your mess unconditionally!"
Donny shuddered, realizing he was being thrown under the bus.
He immediately put on a pitiful face, "Stella, I didn't mean to. Who knew this kid would be so troublesome?"
"Enough, just tell the truth. I'll arrange a new job for you afterward."
If it weren't for the crowd, Stella would have wanted to strangle him.
Hearing her promise, Donny felt a bit more secure.
He took a couple of steps forward and addressed the crowd, "I'm sorry, everyone. It was me who accidentally pushed this little boy."
"The exit was too crowded, and Stella didn't have her bodyguards today. I panicked and made a mistake."
"Stella was behind me and didn't see what happened. I was too cowardly to step up earlier. I'm sorry!"
As he explained, he made sure to completely absolve Stella from the incident.
He finished with a deep bow to show his apology.
The fans were stunned. So Benjamin was telling the truth.
What kind of manager was this Donny? So unprofessional.
The crowd murmured among themselves, and Benjamin suddenly spoke up, "Sir, why are you facing that way? I'm over here. You should apologize to me."
The fans' eyes turned to Benjamin, and the more they looked, the more they admired his cleverness. He wasn't intimidated by the situation at all.
"Yeah, apologize to him."
"Apologize to him!"
The repeated demands made Donny dizzy. He almost couldn't tell whose fans these people were.
But under pressure, Donny turned around, bowed to Benjamin, and humbly said, "Sorry, it was my fault you got hurt. I'll cover all your medical and treatment expenses."
Benjamin smiled slightly and gave Donny a hug, making the scene look very heartwarming. Even the fans didn't want to interrupt.
Benjamin's sweet smile, with a small dimple at the corner of his mouth, transformed him from a cool kid to an adorable one.
"Sir, I haven't forgiven you yet."
His voice was so soft that only Donny could hear it.
Before Donny could react, Benjamin let go of him and waved at Stella, "Goodbye."
With that, he left through another exit, leaving Stella and her group behind.
Although this incident ended quickly, it was still captured by some keen observers.
Stella would likely face another wave of online backlash soon.
They didn't stay at the airport long and quickly got into a car.
As soon as Stella got in, she threw her scarf at Donny's face, her voice sharp, "You idiot!"
"Are you trying to ruin my career? Couldn't you have handled that kid more gently? Did you have to push him at the exit where everyone could see?"
As a celebrity, her fans and paparazzi were always around.
Now, her carefully maintained good reputation was at risk because of Donny.
Donny shrank back, knowing he was in the wrong, "Should we ask Mr. Percy for help?"
Stella crossed her arms and rolled her eyes dramatically.
"At this critical moment, you want him to clean up my mess again? Do you think he's a fool?"
"But Stella, isn't he about to marry you?"
#The Percy Group's CEO Is About to Marry Famous Actress Stella: A Match Made in Hollywood.
Benjamin looked down at the entertainment news on his tablet, reading each word aloud.
After finishing, he closed the news page and sighed, "So that woman earlier is the one he's going to marry? No wonder Mommy dumped him."
Benjamin was now at a downtown mall. He and Diana had lived abroad for five years, and while everything was great, it lacked excitement.
He often played with Dean, but Dean's hacking skills were no match for Diana's. The challenges Dean set up were too easy for him.
By now, Dean should have just realized he was missing.
Benjamin, pretending to be mature, stroked his chin. Sure enough, a video call came through.
Benjamin tidied his hair, cleared his throat, and answered the call, "Hello..."
Before he could finish, Dean's voice roared from the other end, "Benjamin!"
"You little rascal! Your guts are getting bigger, huh? You said you were solving problems in your room, but where did you run off to?"
Benjamin, annoyed, held the phone away from his ear, "Dean, why are you so angry?"
"It's not my fault your codes were too simple. I figured them out at a glance. Don't worry, I'm back in Mommy's hometown. It's safe here, I won't get into trouble."
His voice was still childlike, sounding very innocent. Kids his age in the Rainbow Federation were just starting kindergarten.
Blame Diana for giving birth to a little genius.
Not only was he precocious, but he was also very smart. The computer skills Dean mastered in his teens, Benjamin picked up effortlessly.
Dean often comforted himself, thinking that with parents like Diana and Charles, it was natural for their child to be smart.
Dean also worried that Benjamin might grow up to be as crazy as Charles, but fortunately, Diana's strong genes prevailed.
Benjamin's mischievousness was just like hers.
Recently, the Sword of Damocles had been very busy, and Diana couldn't take care of Benjamin, so she left him with Dean.
Now, Dean had lost track of Benjamin. If Diana found out, she would probably kill him.
Dean suppressed his anger and spoke sternly, "What are you doing? Your mommy doesn't like that place. Why did you go back?"
He continued, "Get on the earliest flight back, or I'll come and get you myself!"
Benjamin ignored his threats and started listing his options, "It's fine. I can go to Mr. Davis. He's a lawyer, so he can protect me."
"And there's Ms. Porter, a businesswoman, so I won't run out of money."
"And Ms. Thomas, she can take care of me, right? Dean, you're just too scared. It's just a trip abroad, I've done it before."
Dean gritted his teeth, wishing he could fly over and spank him right now.
"Benjamin! I can take you anywhere, but not Evergreen City. You know why..."
Seeing Dean's angry face, Benjamin smiled and blew a kiss at the screen.
"I know, but Mommy's on a business trip for at least half a month. I'll come back after having fun here. She won't find out. As for that man, I don't care about him at all."
