Chapter 354 What a Small World

Late at night, Benjamin burrowed himself under the covers.

The light from his watch screen illuminated the small space, turning it into a tiny secret hideout.

With Dean currently on a plane, Benjamin could only find comfort in the messages Dean had sent before boarding.

Dean: [Don't worry, I'll be there soon.]

Benjamin rubbed his eyes, turned off the screen, and yawned, mumbling to himself, "It's okay, I'll be home soon, with Mommy."

Meanwhile, Charles was still awake in the master bedroom.

The room was dimly lit by a single lamp. He sat at the desk, a cigarette between the fingers of his left hand, and a phone pressed to his ear with his right.

On the other end, Nolan's voice came through, "Mr. Percy, we've tracked the last IP address related to the missing money from your account. But…"

The result was so unexpected that Nolan hesitated.

Charles frowned, flicking away the burnt ash, and said coldly, "Go on."

"We found that the last IP address was from your home."

Charles paused, a mocking smile appearing on his otherwise indifferent face.

"My home? Was it one of the servants, Jacob, or perhaps myself?"

Nolan knew Charles was angry and quickly explained, "The person is a very skilled hacker. This plan might have been deliberately targeting you. We'll keep investigating."

There was a long silence on the other end of the line.

Charles exhaled a smoke ring, his voice low and heavy with pressure, "I want him to have the guts to take the three hundred million dollars, but not the chance to spend it."

Nolan was shocked and quickly agreed, "Yes."

After a moment, he continued, "There's another matter, regarding Benjamin."

"Someone has deliberately erased his information, and we can't find anything. The person protecting him might be very powerful."

Charles lowered his gaze slightly, not too surprised.

Benjamin looked too much like him. If he had no background at all, that would be more surprising.

"Tomorrow, his relatives will come to pick him up. Follow them and find out everything."

Nolan pursed his lips. Both matters were complicated, making it hard not to suspect Elise's involvement.

Since the Percy Group's shareholders reshuffled, only a few of Elise's people remained.

Charles could have kicked them all out, but if he pushed Elise too far, she might go to extremes.

For the sake of internal balance, keeping those harmless old shareholders wasn't a big deal.

But Zachary had been stationed overseas, and Elise wouldn't be content with him being marginalized. She would likely take action sooner or later.

What Nolan could think of, Charles naturally could too.

He extinguished the cigarette and said, "Keep a close watch on Zachary. I don't want anything to happen to him."

"Yes, our people are monitoring him closely."

The next morning.

The servants had dried and delivered Benjamin's clothes from the previous night to the guest room early.

When he woke up, he saw the clothes by the bed.

Benjamin rubbed his eyes, changed out of Charles' clothes, put on his shoes, and went downstairs.

The servant cleaning was surprised to see Benjamin, "Kid, why are you up so early? Breakfast isn't ready yet."

Benjamin had eaten pasta last night and wasn't very hungry. He shook his head, "It's okay, I just want to get some exercise."

The servant looked at him suspiciously and then volunteered, "You can, but the house is big. I'll accompany you."

Accompanying him was just an excuse; she were really keeping an eye on him.

But Benjamin didn't plan to do anything, so he agreed, "Sure."

As they walked downstairs and reached the porch, a car slowly approached.

The servant saw it and exclaimed excitedly, "Ms. White is here."

She hurried to greet Stella, completely forgetting about accompanying Benjamin.

After all, Stella was the future mistress of the Percy Group, and it was obvious she was more important than a strange little boy.

Benjamin looked up.

A slender leg in high heels stepped out of the car first.

Stella wore a fitted gray knit top and a red pencil skirt, her long wavy hair styled like a princess.

Her beautiful eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, making it hard to see her expression.

She smiled and nodded politely at the servant who came to greet her.

But when she looked up, she met Benjamin's gaze.

'Who's this kid?' she thought.

Stella's smile faded, and she took off her sunglasses to get a better look.

"What a coincidence, miss," Benjamin said with a fake smile, showing his small tiger teeth and waving at Stella.

She stiffened, not recognizing him, and turned to the servant, "Who is this?"

The servant bowed respectfully and replied, "This is someone Mr. Percy brought home, a guest."

"A guest?"

Stella was skeptical and looked back at Benjamin.

Benjamin stepped forward, "Don't you remember me? Your agent knocked me down at the airport."

At that moment, Charles walked in, hearing Benjamin's words, and frowned.

Stella quickly fixed her hair and shyly said, "Charles, you're awake? I made a nutritious meal for you and brought it over."

Her assistant handed over the food container.

Charles didn't show much emotion over the food. He turned to Benjamin, "You know her?"

"Yeah, her agent knocked me down and said I was faking it."

Benjamin rolled up his sleeve, showing the scabbed-over injury on his arm.

Stella saw Charles' deepening gaze and quickly explained, "It's not like that. My agent was out of line. I've already fired him."

She bent down, speaking earnestly, "We apologized at the time. This matter is over. If you're still unhappy, you can ask for compensation. I'll agree to anything within my power."

Benjamin pulled down his sleeve, stepped back, and said seriously, "Miss, I'm telling the truth. And who said I have to forgive you just because you apologized? You covered for your agent, and many people blamed me. I don't need your stuff; keep it for yourself."

He snorted and turned to leave.

'Charles' taste in women is terrible, marrying someone so fake.'

He had just taken two steps when he felt his suspenders being pulled.

He was lifted and turned to face Stella again.

Charles let go, his voice low and commanding, "Apologize."

Benjamin's expression froze in disbelief, pointing at himself, "Me?"

Stella covered her mouth, unable to hold back a laugh, then pretended to be gracious, "Let it go, Charles. He's just a child. Kids say the darndest things."

Benjamin saw her smug look and clenched his small fists, wanting to fight her.

He raised his voice and shouted, "I won't!"

Stella covered her ears, wishing she could throw him out. But she kept a gentle expression and frowned, "It's okay, no need to apologize."

Seeing them argue in front of him, Charles grew impatient. He stepped forward, pointed at Stella, and said, "I want you to apologize to him."
