Chapter 511 Pleaded

The thought of being watched for so long made Diana feel sick to her stomach. She fought back the urge to throw up and pleaded, "At least let the kid go. I'll take his place."

Benjamin couldn't hold back any longer. He shouted angrily, "No! No! You wicked woman, you can't hurt her! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!"

Stella's temples throbbed from his yelling. She lifted her foot and kicked him.

Benjamin didn't even cry out when his leg was hit. Instead, his anger grew. This wicked woman wanted to kill them, and she had to be stopped.

"Benjamin! Quiet!" Diana didn't want Benjamin to suffer, so she immediately scolded him.

Benjamin whimpered and only quieted down after being reprimanded a couple more times.

Once he was silent, Diana took a deep breath, controlled her legs, and knelt down.

Her hands were tied behind her back, making it difficult to maintain this position for long. Her upper body trembled uncontrollably.

"Ms. White, the child is innocent. I'm willing to take his punishment. I know you're angry. Just let it out, and we can still talk things over."

Stella was amused by her display and bent down, her eyes full of mockery. "Really? I'm actually a kind person, but what you did was too much. I can't forgive you."

"How about this: tell me how you plan to make me feel better, and I'll consider letting the kid go."

Diana's eyes flickered. The key now was to buy time; nothing else mattered.

She lowered her head and continued, "You can hit me or curse at me, as long as it makes you happy."

As long as she survived, she could get her revenge.

Diana's humble and weak demeanor greatly pleased Stella. She twirled a lock of hair around her finger.

"Alright, I'll slap you, and you have to shout, 'I'm a homewrecker.' How about that?"

Before Diana could respond, Benjamin immediately retorted, "You're the wicked woman!"

He was too young to know any harsher words, so he could only repeat that one.

Stella, annoyed by his shouting, slapped him again and hissed, "Make another sound, and I'll break your mouth."

"Don't touch him! I'll say it. I'm willing to say it." Diana's heart nearly stopped. She wanted nothing more than to get up and slap Stella herself.

"That's better." Stella slowly wiped her hands and then smiled. "Are you ready? 3, 2..."

As she counted down, just as the slap was about to land, a loud crash came from the factory door.

Stella spun around to see a heavy iron door being rammed open by a black SUV.

The car door opened, and Charles stepped out, his black trench coat billowing behind him, his eyes cold as ice.

"Charles!"

Diana couldn't help but call out, her eyes suddenly feeling hot with emotion.

Charles's gaze swept over the two of them. Seeing the blood on Diana's lips and the fear in Benjamin's eyes, his expression darkened. "Stella, you're asking for it."

Stella's face turned pale. She didn't understand how Charles had found them.

She glanced back at the two and saw Benjamin subtly shaking his wristwatch.

Benjamin gave a defiant smile, mouthing, "You're dead."

Stella quickly realized what had happened and barked orders to the men in black beside her, "Stop them!"

The men hesitated but, seeing that Charles was alone with just one other person, felt a bit more confident.

Nolan, sweating profusely, recalled how Charles's phone had received a location message from an unknown number half an hour ago.

Luckily, the place wasn't far, and they had sped over, with backup and the police still on their way.

Now, he and Charles had to face these people alone.

Charles had trained in boxing and martial arts, so he could hold his own in a fight. But Nolan was just an office worker, not used to this kind of violence.

"Mr. Percy, I can't fight," Nolan whispered, his face tense.

Charles shot him a cold glance. "When a person's life is on the line, they can find strength they never knew they had."

Without waiting for Nolan's response, Charles charged forward, knocking one of the men in black to the ground.

But the next second, he froze as he saw Stella grab Diana by the throat.

The intense choking made Diana's face turn red. Her hands and feet were bound, and she could only struggle desperately.

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you!" Stella was in a frenzy, ignoring the fight behind her as she tried to strangle Diana.

Benjamin rushed at Stella, biting her shoulder hard. Stella screamed in pain and threw Benjamin off.

Diana took the opportunity to catch her breath, but she was too dizzy from lack of oxygen to move. As soon as Stella recovered, she grabbed Diana again.

Charles, momentarily distracted, was kicked hard by the other man in black. His expression grew more dangerous. "Let them go. This is your last chance!"

Stella heard nothing. All she saw was Diana. Even if she died, she wanted to take someone with her.

But she didn't expect Nolan, who had been cowering behind, to come up and smash his laptop over her head.

The grip on Diana's neck finally loosened. Her vision blurred, and when it cleared, she saw Nolan hurriedly untying her.

"Nolan?"

"Yes, it's me. Ms. Spencer, are you okay? Don't be afraid, the police are almost here." Nolan's voice trembled, unsure if he was comforting himself or them.

Once he untied them, Diana leaned on him to stand up.

Just then, the man in black whom Charles had knocked down began to stir. He held his head, remembering he had a gun.

Seeing his comrade fighting and Stella unconscious on the ground, he immediately pulled out his gun and aimed it at Diana and the others.

"Stop! Move again, and all three of them will die here."

Charles, who had been gaining the upper hand, stopped immediately. The man in black took the chance to get up and landed several solid punches on him.

Seeing Charles being beaten, Diana's eyes turned red. "You idiots, why didn't you bring backup or guns?"

"We came in a hurry and didn't bring anything. This place is on the border of Evergreen City and Elverton, far from the police station," Nolan explained quietly, raising his hands.

He didn't want to make any futile struggles and needed to calm the kidnappers down. "Sir, calm down. Be careful with the gun."
