Chapter 197 Sabotage Plan
Diana raised an eyebrow, cursing to herself, 'When did he get so smooth?'
If she had known he was like this, she would've never gotten involved with him.
She didn't mind spending his money, though.
The bartender quickly handed Diana a grape juice, complete with a cute little umbrella in the glass.
Diana took the juice and sat down across from Grant.
She wasn't wearing any makeup today, her face fresh and clean, with a white cotton coat over a pink turtleneck sweater.
It was warm in the bar, so she took off her coat. Even with her thick clothes, her slim waist and full chest were still noticeable.
Grant's eyes darkened; he always liked women who were both pure and sexy.
When he was with Sophia, he was drawn to her beauty. But she was too competitive, even he couldn't keep up with her.
Yet after she truly passed away, Grant couldn't help but often think of her beautiful and proud face.
"What are you zoning out about?" Diana waved her hand in front of him, snapping him back to reality.
Grant replied, "Sorry, you reminded me of a friend."
Diana's interest piqued, "Your friend? Do I look like her? Or is it my personality?"
Grant shook his head. They didn't look alike at all. Sophia was more composed, while Diana had a girlish vibe. But the confidence they both had was similar.
"No, you don't look alike, but you give off a similar vibe."
Diana smirked, took a sip of juice, and when she looked up, her lips were shiny from the juice, "Where is your friend now?"
Grant replied, "She, she passed away."
"How did she die?" Diana's eyes were like hooks, staring straight into Grant's.
Grant's Adam's apple bobbed. He felt exposed, and a faint sense of oppression lingered in his heart.
To ease this feeling, he clutched his bag tightly, his eyes evasive, "She was sick, she died of a serious illness."
What a good excuse, she was clearly poisoned by them!
Diana shifted her gaze, no longer continuing the topic, and pointed towards the bar, "Can you check if the cake is ready? I'm a bit hungry."
Even though they were just strangers who had met once, Grant was particularly cooperative with her requests.
As he turned around, the curve of Diana's mouth disappeared, and her expression turned serious.
She quickly moved to Grant's seat, opened his laptop bag, and connected her phone to the laptop with a data cable.
While quickly operating the code on her phone, she kept an eye on the bar.
Since she had ordered a lot, it took two trays to carry everything, which bought her some time.
Diana bit her lip, her heart pounding, but soon she pulled the data cable back, putting the laptop and bag back in place.
After doing all this, she sat back in her seat and took another sip of grape juice, as if nothing had happened.
Soon, Grant came over with two trays, moving carefully. "Here."
Diana smiled at him, taking one of the trays with one hand. "Thanks, let's eat together."
She pushed one of the ice creams in front of Grant.
Due to the warm indoor heating, the ice cream had already started to melt.
Grant waved his hand, "No need, this is for you."
Diana took a spoon and tasted the ice cream, the cold, creamy flavor melting in her mouth. She squinted happily and said again, "I can't finish two, please help me with one."
Grant stared at her face, a bit dazed, and after a moment, he slowly picked up a spoon and put the ice cream in his mouth.
To be honest, the taste wasn't anything special, but Diana still asked, "Is it good?"
Grant nodded blankly, though he hadn't actually tasted a thing.
"Then eat more, please help me finish this piece too."
She extended a graceful hand, her fingertips a healthy pink, and pushed the cake on the table towards him.
At that moment, a sharp voice came from not far away, "What are you doing?"
Hestia had just come out of the restroom and saw this scene.
She was already very unhappy with the decision to come to the Rainbow Federation, and the harmonious atmosphere between Diana and Grant made her even angrier.
Grant was stunned to see her storming over, "Hestia, why are you here?"
"Why am I here?" Hestia pointed at Diana, gritting her teeth, "If I didn't come, you'd have an even better chance to be alone together, right?"
"Don't be ridiculous, we just ran into each other." Grant frowned and explained.
"Ran into each other? How could it be such a coincidence? We met on the road just now, and now here? Is it all still just a coincidence? I think you have a thing for her!"
"Enough!" Grant noticed Diana pursing her lips and felt very embarrassed by the situation, so he interrupted Hestia, "I said, we just happened to meet. Why are you making a scene?"
Hestia's eyes turned red, and hearing this, her gaze shifted between the two of them, her voice choking, "You're scolding me for her? I'm your girlfriend! How long have we been together, and you're already scolding me for another woman!"
Grant felt a wave of irritation but softened his tone, stepping forward to hold her hand and coax her, "Sorry, Hestia, we'll talk about this later, okay?"
Diana's expression didn't change, she continued eating her cake. She watched as Hestia shook off Grant's hand and quickly walked over to her, "Are you following us on purpose? How dare you seduce my boyfriend?"
Grant frowned and pulled Hestia back when he saw Diana being dragged into this. "Sorry, she's been in a bad mood lately."
But Hestia, blinded by anger, was so strong that he couldn't hold her back for a moment.
Diana blinked, her expression innocent, "It seems my presence here is causing more misunderstanding, so I'll leave first."
Saying this, she picked up her coat and was about to leave.
But as she passed Hestia, Diana's arm was grabbed tightly.
Her expression didn't change, and almost instantly, she twisted Hestia's arm with her force.
Accompanied by the sound of a dislocated arm, Hestia screamed in pain. "My arm!"
Diana turned back, as if just realizing, and quickly apologized, "Sorry, it was a reflex."
The suddenness of the situation left Grant stunned.
Just now, he seemed to see Sophia in Diana.
This move was something Sophia had taught him when she was alive.
When the strength difference wasn't significant, one could use the opponent's own force to dislocate their arm.
"Sophia," Grant muttered under his breath, his voice clear enough for Hestia and Diana to catch.
Hestia, in great pain, almost fainted from anger upon hearing this. At a time like this, he was still thinking about Sophia!
However, Diana smiled and asked, "What did you say?"
Grant snapped back to reality and quickly shook his head, "Nothing."
Seeing Hestia's condition, his expression turned serious as he asked Diana, "She just grabbed you, why did you have to be so harsh?"
