Chapter 147 Social butterfly
Noah just smiled, "You guys have fun. I don't think I'd fit in with the group."
Sabrina thought about it and figured he had a point.
She rested her chin on her hand, looking thoughtful, "Alright, I'll go hang out with them and get her number for you."
Noah patted Sabrina's head, signaling her to have fun.
Garry had worked hard to bring them back to the country to boost the family's business. As the heir of the Glenn family, Noah was back to focus on his career, unlike Sabrina, who was all about having a good time.
Diana and the others waited for a bit and saw Sabrina bouncing back.
"Let's go! My brother's cool with it," she said, linking arms with Diana like they were old friends.
Diana felt a bit awkward and tried to pull her hand away, "We just ate, and we might smell. I don't want it to get on you."
Sabrina shook her head. She was shorter than Diana, her fluffy head resting against Diana's arm, speaking cheerfully, "No biggie! We're gonna take a bath soon anyway."
Isolde was really fond of the lively Sabrina. Watching her youthful energy made Isolde feel much younger herself.
When they were about to take a bath, she asked, "What's your name?"
Sabrina suddenly realized she had been so focused on getting close that she forgot to introduce herself.
"Oops, sorry. I'm Sabrina, and that was my brother Noah. I'm a junior at Dreamscape University. You can hang out with me anytime!"
She looked at Diana with bright eyes.
Diana scratched her head, getting the hint, "This is Isolde."
"Isolde, nice to meet you!" With Diana's intro, Sabrina greeted her energetically.
Even Evelyn got a warm, "Evelyn, nice to meet you."
After the intros, Sabrina leaned close to Diana and asked softly, "What's your name?"
Diana glanced at her helplessly and thought, 'Is this what social butterflies are like? Getting close without even knowing names.'
But with her current enthusiasm, she looked like an eager puppy. Diana wasn't mad and answered softly, "My name is Diana."
"Diana, nice to meet you!" Sabrina responded smoothly, making Diana laugh.
"Alright, girls, let's take a bath first. We're hitting the hot springs later! We can chat more then."
Isolde interrupted Sabrina and Diana's conversation. If they kept chatting, it would go on forever.
The four quickly took a bath, changed into swimsuits, and headed to the hot spring area together.
The hot spring area had several large and small pools.
Besides the regular hot springs, some had petals and milk added. Others had herbs, said to have health benefits.
Sabrina, who loved beauty, immediately spotted the one with rose petals.
"This one is awesome! It says it can beautify the skin!"
She grabbed the nearest Evelyn and rushed forward.
They tested the water temperature with their hands, found it just right, and then submerged their bodies, leaving only their heads above water, both sighing in satisfaction.
"Diana, come on in! It feels amazing!" Sabrina called out to Diana on the shore.
Diana and Isolde walked behind, watching Sabrina and Evelyn having a blast, and couldn't help but smile.
As they were about to get in the water, Isolde fiddled with her waterproof phone case. The screen suddenly lit up with a notification: [Things Pregnant Women Shouldn't Do].
It was probably just an algorithm recommendation, and she usually swiped it away.
But this time, Isolde glanced at Diana and, for the first time, clicked on it, quickly skimming through.
Suddenly, Isolde shouted and grabbed Diana. "Wait!"
Diana was sitting on the edge, her legs already in the hot spring.
Sabrina and Evelyn were splashing water on her, laughing and playing.
Startled by Isolde's shout, the three froze.
Diana turned to the anxious Isolde and asked gently, "Isolde, what's wrong?"
Isolde was about to answer, but seeing Sabrina in the water made her change her words.
"Diana, that lawyer Robert messaged saying he needs to talk to you. Can you call him?"
Hearing it was from Robert, Diana immediately stood up.
Isolde took the opportunity to pull Diana aside.
In the water, Sabrina turned to ask Evelyn, "Evelyn, is Diana in a lawsuit?"
Evelyn knew what to say and what to keep to herself, so she just nodded and said softly, "Yes."
Then, Evelyn subtly changed the topic.
"Ms. Glenn, I'm just Ms. Spencer's maid. You don't have to be so enthusiastic with me."
Sabrina's attention instantly shifted, but to her, Diana treated Evelyn more like a friend than a maid.
After thinking for a moment, Sabrina said seriously, "Evelyn, being a maid is just your job. You don't have to think of yourself as inferior because of it. It's normal to earn money through work. Besides, Diana clearly treats you as a good friend!"
Evelyn's eyes widened, and her eyes reddened.
Diana had always been kind to her, but she felt uneasy, or as Clara used to say, they were inferior as servants, making Evelyn very self-conscious.
But today, Sabrina's words opened her heart, making Evelyn very touched.
Sabrina blinked, realizing Evelyn was about to cry. They had only exchanged a few words, and Evelyn was already crying. If Diana saw this, it would be a problem.
Thinking of this, Sabrina quickly grabbed Evelyn's hand and changed the topic.
Meanwhile, Isolde pulled Diana aside and whispered, "Robert didn't call; it's you."
"What?" Diana looked puzzled. When did straightforward Isolde start speaking so cryptically?
"You can't go in the hot spring; you're pregnant! I didn't say it directly because Sabrina was there. By the way, when did you meet her? Does she know you're pregnant?"
Isolde pointed to the article on her phone, "Things Pregnant Women Shouldn't Do," with the fifth item clearly stating: [Pregnant women in early pregnancy should avoid hot springs, as it can cause miscarriage.]
Diana's expression stiffened. She wanted to miscarry but not this way.
If it caused a pool of blood, it would leave these girls with psychological trauma.
Luckily, Isolde read the article. Diana exhaled, calmed herself, and replied, "She doesn't know. We just met today."
She briefly explained how she met Sabrina.
Isolde gave a thumbs up, her eyes filled with admiration, "Diana, your charisma is unbeatable. What was Charles thinking?"
If she were a man, she would have been captivated by Diana long ago.
