Chapter 180 I was wrong

As the electronic signal buzzed, the door swung open.

Charles tossed Diana onto the couch and leaned in close.

Diana felt dizzy, and before she could react, hot breaths were on her face.

She looked up, finding her lips pressed against Charles'. The moist, soft, and warm sensation hit her all at once.

"Charles, you!"

Diana's eyes widened, and her struggling hands were pinned above her head. The warm, wet tip of his tongue slid into her mouth, tasting more of each other with every movement.

Diana's tongue, unable to escape, angrily tried to push the intruder out, but it ended up licking and sweeping over his tongue, almost like flirting.

Seeing this didn't work, Diana bit down hard. Finally, she had a chance to breathe.

Charles's tongue went numb from her bite. They were so close that he could smell a faint scent. It wasn't perfume or any flower fragrance, but a subtle scent emanating from Diana's skin.

Unlike her usual stubborn and indifferent demeanor, Diana's cheeks were flushed due to lack of oxygen, her eyes filled with tears, and her lips were fuller and redder from the kiss.

Seeing her in this state for the first time, Charles's cheek twitched slightly in surprise. It was just a kiss, but it excited him immensely.

Seeing the undisguised desire in his eyes, Diana felt a surge of fear and shouted, "You lunatic! Pervert! Bastard! Let go of me!"

She struggled against the restraint on her wrists, feeling extremely insecure in this position.

But to Charles, her fear had another meaning. Was she so afraid of him that she'd prefer to be with another man?

His face darkened, he released her hands, and pulled her into his arms, "Do you think I can't satisfy you?"

Diana's hands pressed against his chest, her eyes full of resistance, "You're talking nonsense, let go of me."

Charles stared at her face, suddenly curling his lips into a cold smile.

The next second, he flipped her over, pinning her under him, one knee pressing against her thigh.

He lowered his head and kissed her neck, his lips close to her skin, feeling the blood flowing beneath.

Diana shrank back, trying to push his head away.

But behind her, a hand slid up her clothes, skillfully unhooking her bra.

Her breath caught as she realized what it meant. She grabbed Charles by the hair and ears, pushing with all her strength.

The lips wandering around her neckline suddenly revealed sharp teeth, biting down on her collarbone.

"Charles, look at who I am! You lunatic."

As soon as she finished speaking, Charles's movements paused.

He thought, 'Lunatic? Is this crazy? I don't mind being crazier.'

Diana thought her words worked, thinking Charles hated her so much that he must be crazy to do this.

But the next second, with the sound of fabric tearing, Charles ripped open her shirt, grabbing her full breasts without hesitation. His palm filled with the enticing softness, his fingers sinking into the plump flesh with a slight squeeze.

Diana's whole body tingled, unable to move, her lips captured by Charles again. Though lacking skill, he pried open her teeth with unbelievable decisiveness and efficiency, entwining their tongues like their breaths.

Charles was completely losing it. His lower abdomen was on fire, and the thing in his pants was already straining, shouting with a desperate desire to be wrapped up by Diana underneath him.

This was his woman, and even if he didn't want her, no way was she showing favor to another guy.

Their lips carried a taste of salt—it was the saltiness of tears.

Charles's eyes snapped open, locking onto Diana's face. Her cheeks were wet with tears.

"Charles, I'm sorry..." Her voice trembled, her eyes pleading. "Please, stop, I was wrong."

Seeing her body trembling uncontrollably, Charles felt a sudden pain in his heart.

Seeing him pause, Diana continued, "I'm pregnant. Dr. Ramos said I need to rest, no sexual activity; there's a risk of miscarriage."

She was telling the truth. Charles cared deeply about this child too.

Charles's eyes were deep, revealing no emotion.

Diana was tense, unable to read his thoughts. She had no idea if her tears would work, but she knew that going through with this would mean the end of everything.

Her nose was red from crying, her face streaked with tears, and her hair, once sleek, was now a tangled mess sticking to her cheeks. She looked utterly pitiful.

Charles' Adam's apple bobbed as he took a deep breath. After what felt like an eternity, he finally released Diana and got up off her.

Seeing this, Diana quickly sat up, curling into a corner of the sofa, her eyes wary, "Thank you."

She wasn't even sure why she was thanking him, but at least now he wouldn't suddenly want to have sex with her.

Diana hugged her knees, sniffing, her sobs particularly noticeable in the room.

Her clothes were torn, her coat left in Eugene's room earlier. Now she just had to wait for Charles to leave so she could call for help.

But after a long time, Charles showed no intention of leaving. He just stood there by the window.

Diana could only see his back, not understanding what he was thinking.

"You..."

"Get up."

Suddenly, they both spoke at the same time, both pausing at the other's voice.

Then, Charles turned around, seeing Diana's disheveled state, his eyes darkened.

"Get up," he commanded as he tossed a coat over her.

A large men's suit jacket covered Diana's face, a woody scent filling her nose. Making her breathless, she quickly took the coat off.

"Put it on." Charles's voice was hoarse with desire, turning away after giving the order.

This time, Diana obediently put on the coat. Her shirt was completely broken; it was better to wear Charles's suit.

Rustling sounds came from behind, and after a moment, Diana said softly, "I'm dressed."

Charles then turned around, his clothes much larger than Diana's. The suit hung loosely on her, the hem covering her entire butt.

He raised his hand to pull her arm, but she instinctively dodged.

Diana's eyes were full of resistance, but her tone was very cautious, "What do you want?"

She thought, 'What is Charles up to now? Is he going to try and force me somewhere else?'

Her expression was fully captured by Charles, his empty hand clenched into a fist at his side.

Diana thought he was going to use violence, too scared to move.

But after a long silence, Charles pursed his lips, explaining, "Going home."

He reached out again. This time, Diana didn't resist. She placed a hand in Charles's and used his strength to stand up straight.
